Thank you for this Madeleine, really appreciate. Was it you or somebody else that had the sends on every channel appear as a horizontal mini slider, much like the ones in Ableton's synths? I can't seem to find the option for it or how to change it.
Hi, Thank you for the review. I tried what you suggested, and now I can see the device slot, but the plug-in names do not appear in the slots... Have you encountered this problem? Do you know how to solve it? Thank you
Hi Madeleine, I have a question: do you know how to enable the "old" folder view for VST plugins (VST2 & 3) in Live12 ? The new tagging system is OK, but I would appreciate much more the folder view. I couldn't find a way to get back to it in Live12.Thanks a lot.
This is currently only an option in the beta version, but it should make its way into the official release soon. A lot of people asked for those folders back. I wish they would do the same with other folders in the browser.
Thanks for sharing..Is there still a possibility to show and hide at least the return tracks ( opt.txt or key command)? It was handy before but now more complicated.. wish u a beautiful day
Yes, Shift + Ctrl + R (Win) or Shift + Cmd + R (Mac). Unless you mean the return tracks in the Arrangement View, the ones not in the new Mixer section. Those can't be hidden anymore.
thank you for sharing, this is very useful info! About themes, do you have an editor to create them? I would like to try to create some myself, but don't fancy editing a theme file, reloading it in Ableton to see what the result is etc. That would take so much time...
You can use the following theme makers, but they don't include all parameters. So you'd have to add them manually in the file or even copy them over from another one. www.livethemes.co/ themes.verbana.io/ Making a great theme takes a lot of work, tbh.
@@sonicbloomtuts I have looked into the Live API that is available in Max4Live, but couldn't find any access to the colours. If they were available, it would be much easier to build an editor... (and if there was some way to trigger Live to reload the theme). Maybe in the future...

You simply have to reduce the width of the track to make them look like this.
@@sonicbloomtuts thank you, but no chance otherwise? 🙏🏻

Just change the width of the track. It's a known bug.
Show Device Slots being in the menu now threw me off at first!
Yep. Biggest reason why I made the video.
Absolute Lifesaver!

AN ABSOLUTE LEGEND!
Thank you for this. I’m hoping the performance core option will resolve issues I have with ableton and my i9 13900k
Fingers crossed it helps.
How do you turn on record arm on selection?
I added a link in the description with the Options.txt fiile and instructions.
you rock
Merci. 😊

Thank you for making this one!!
You always make these transitions a more bearable experience.
Thank you!
You're very welcome.
Thank you

Here's an old M4L skin editor: maxforlive.com/library/device/1504/skin-editor
@@sonicbloomtuts great, I'm going to have a look at that!
