    ❤️ The new accent color on the doors and window panels. That’s some USDA Florida Prime snook bait right there

    Thanks so much for this vid! I was one of those commenters a couple days ago that said I was having trouble finding bait recently, so this video was a big help. I'm gonna get back out there and try again! Hoping to catch my first ever solid summer beach snook, only have caught 1 or 2 dinks in my life in canals. One more question, are you only using large baits off the beach? I keep seeing schools of medium-sized pilchards on the beach, not sure if they are even worth going after.

      Pilchards work great too. Use whatever you can get a hold of

    The only set-up i have to throw live bait is a 7'6" PISCIFUN TORRENT heavy paired to an ALIJOZ real with a power handle an 40lb braid ,Will that be a good snook set-up for the beach????

    I watched the video you did last time for summer snook fishing, but isn’t 50 pound leader too much for the water clarity during the summer? Also what leader do you use fluro or mono?

    • @phytobedo
      @phytobedo  3 роки тому

      You might get more bites with a smaller leader, but I have had snook wear clean through 40 lb leader, so I always stick with 50 lb. I use both mono and fluoro. If you’re worried about the ultra clear water, maybe stick with fluoro. 😎

    I’ve read anywhere from size 2 to 1/0 circle hooks for live bait. With bigger croakers like that, would you still recommend using a small hook (size 2) ?

    Lee Fisher nets on Amazon are the best price you will find for decent quality 8 footer. They are only 60 and made with real lead. They will last years especially if you are only throwing on the beach. I just replaced mine after 2 years casting on rocks and oyster bars.

    What size/style/brand hooks do you use?

    • @phytobedo
      @phytobedo  3 роки тому

      Usually 4/0 or 5/0 circle hooks. Any brand is fine.. Owner, Gamakatsu, Mustad, Eagle Claw etc

      @@phytobedo I think u take a bag of frozen shrimp and just blend it with rolled oats or bread it would work. Just drop a tiny bit at a time in the surf very close to shore and the waves will spread it out.
