The scene where Stolas was walking up to Blitzo as the lights turned back on, it blows my mind away that it was 100% compositing and that the original colors of the characters were never changed.
Truth seekers is my favorite episode, it's just such a spectacle and I can tell you guys so passionately worked your asses off to make it. (and the rest of the episodes of course!) Great work, can't wait for more!
The compositing and colors of the fight scene gives me a vibe of the terminator movies

Me too but for now when I get my computer, I'll use davinci resolve (the free one which is just as good as AE but with nodes)
Fantastic work, as usual! Needless to compliment that Blitzo close up, but the scene after Stolas transforms back was particularly good. The subtle blurs, particles and secondary lightning were all exceptionally well done.

Amazing composition! On my first viewing I kept pausing the shot were Stolas had shining lights from the celing while they light up xD. The work you put up is truly inspiring, and keeps remembering why I do this. To fully do art, not a product. Even in a production being able to enjoy it and fight for it to be fulfilling. Thanks!

I always love looking at behind the scenes of animation because it's so detailed and complex but i noticed you had to colour correct shots to bring out the blue and teal colours. I'm just wondering why you have to do that instead of just telling the animators to illustrate with those teal colours in the first place?
It depends since sometimes cleanup gets unique palettes and sometimes we have to do it. Just our pipeline.

I didn't know the animation was separate, are several people doing the editing?
Yeah there's a whole team for everything! The rough animation, animation, cleanup, and composition!

Hi serpah, i am new to your video and i have watched your helluva boss ep 5 behind the scenes. I have a question with how the room is animated. Was that room when the imp fight the agents 3d or 2d?
I remember someone somewhere saying it was 3D. If it was 2D, props to the animators, that must've been hard
