I was born in 1964 and remember my dad and I in the garage working on our 1951 Mercury, then my 1965 Mustang listening to the 50/ 60’s music. At 8 the old radio stories would come on and we’d have those on. Great times.

I adore this song, and the old footage, and the incredible voices, and the simple, yet effective way they dance. Gosh, I love older songs; they're so much classier.

I think it's cute and wonderful. The times appeared more innocent but Dion actually had a heroin addiction since his early teens which I found shocking. I didnt know heroin was a thing in the 50s. Anyway he appeared to have kicked the habit and has gone on live a good life. Good for him. Not many escape it.

Same here, nowt but self entitled woke snowflakes with no taste in music and no sense of humour. Take me back to the 50s and let me have best ten years of my life. Not in the UK though, was crap here in the 50s so I was told, USA was far better with the diners, the high school hops, Alan Freed, Drive in movies, the fashion, being able to drive at 16. still have to wit until you are 17 in the UK all those years later. No where of interest to go here if you lived in a small town and too young to go into pubs and clubs.

Orion Simpson I am 63 and faintly remember hearing the fifties hits as a little kid. My dad loved the big band era but had an open mind about the new sound emerging. I remember him telling about seeing Elvis on the Dorsey Brothers show. I have always been a big fan of the fifties era.

There is no other song that captures the innocence, simplicity and sweetness of the 50's better than this song, the lyrics, melody and Dion's voice. Now at age 80 + he can still sing this song with the same pathos and beauty of those younger years, amazing.

Wow! Dick Clark looks very young and he did a great job as host of American Bandstand. He always had class acts. And Dion and The Belmonts were a phenomenal group who are still entertaining true Doo Wop music lovers. This song is the song I associate and remember them by the most. Great song and words and act. Listen to the girls going nuts over these guys. An incredible classic group.

Each time we have a quarrel, it almost breaks my heart,
Cause I'm so afraid that we will have to part,
Each night I ask the stars up above,
Why must I be a teenager in love?
One day I feel so happy, next day I feel so sad.
I guess I'll learn to take the good with the bad.
Cause each night I ask the stars up above,
Why must I be a teenager in love?
I cried a tear for nobody but you,
I'll be a lonely one, if you should say we're through.
Well, if you want to make me cry, that won't be so hard to do.
And if you should say goodbye, I'll still go on loving you.
Each night I ask the stars up above,
Why must I be a teenager in love?
I cried a tear for nobody but you,
I'll be a lonely one, if you should say we're through.
Well, if you want to make me cry, that won't be so hard to do.
And if you should say goodbye, I'll still go on loving you.
Each night I ask the stars up above
Why must I be a teenager in love?
Why must I be a teenager in love? (In love)

Oh my god. I consider myself someone who has a bit of heavy armor when it comes to love songs but I find this completely disarming. This should wake up the love blushed teenager inside of all our hearts. He’s up in the balcony and basically coming down from the clouds with little cupids around him. Sheesh. P.s. I think the 50/60s gave the nerdier young men a chance to shine, we’ve lost that.

Ime 41 years old,I have 5 children who have all been bought up on this music, as well as all of us being Elvis fans we love Dion and countless others, their are alot of young people out their that like the old music but don't share it for fear of being tormented by their friends. My children don't care so neither should anyone else. This music will never die.

Absolutely! Totally professional, great harmony, and charismatic. I won't denigrate the currently popular acts (but I certainly won't praise them), but appreciating the wonderful music they created for us and thanking these wonderful people for the talent they shared is the minimum I can do. As a native Noo Yawkuh, and one who has ridden the number 4 IRT line way too many times, I can say you guys are okay. Good eggs. Yu don suck, yu know? If the guys read this. they'll know I mean that as the highest praise. But don let it go to yor head. Sheesh.

Each time we have a quarrel
    It almost breaks my heart
    'Cause I'm so afraid
That we will have to part
Each night I ask the stars up above
Why must I be a teenager in love
One day I feel so happy
Next day I feel so sad
    I guess I'll learn
To take the good with the bad
    'Cause each night
I ask the stars up above
Why must I be a teenager in love
I cried a tear for nobody but you
    I'll be a lonely one
If you should say we're through
Well if you want to make me cry
That won't be so hard to do
    If you should say goodbye
I'd still go on loving you
