I collect old Elvis Presley vinyl. I don’t spend a lot of money on them, and I don’t care how beat-up they are. I just like ‘em, baby. #elvispresley #elvis #elvisrecords
Elvis's first album is the best ever I have an old 1950s original on his master's voice label it's a bit battered but plays good worthy of any elvis presley collection
OMG it must have been so exciting for American fans in the days when the records and concerts were being advertised on tv and radio. We had nothing like that across the Pond, RCA just released records into the shops without any fanfare. I really enjoyed seeing those advertisements😊😊😊😊
Great video!!! I have never seen any of these TV or print ads! I have to assume RCA payed for all these marketing pieces. The Colonel had a deal with RCA so they were forced to pre-sell over a million copies of every new Elvis record, making every new release a gold record. I wonder if RCA would have spent all the money on advertising they did if they were not manufacturing so many discs up front. Makes you wonder if the Colonel knew RCA would invest massive funds in marketing when he negotiated the manufacturing of the discs?
A very cool video, besides the first one for ELVIS's CHRISTMAS ALBUM. I remember the rest of them , bought back a lot of good memories. I beg my parents and beg my parents for the 1973 ELVIS double album set on tv but I had to spend my own money from mowing lawns and boy Howdy I did. It was like CHRISTMAS in summer when it came in the mail. Hope you do more of these videos, they are fun and informative .🙌
Thanks a heap, Kerry. I can't recall if my Mom lent me the money, or if I too, had to mow lawns and do odd jobs to get the money. I wish I still had the mailing package that mine came in, but even the album got lost in a flood. I replaced it recently, and even found a Brookville too!
Hey Christian, Another awesome video. Keep ‘em coming and I think you should do this, type of reviews and the showing of more ads/ and what not, from RCA or BMG/Sony. Good stuff.
The one from 73 had to be after RCA bought the catalog from 1954-1973 because there are too many good songs on 2 albums. Parker would have put one good song on each album and all the other songs would have been the really bad movie songs aka Song of The Shrimp, Petunia the Gardner's Daughter, etc. Just like he did with Burning Love (and hits from his movies) which was horrible on the Camden label. Well Parker made money on it, too bad he got 90% of it and would dip into Elvis's 10% and take out of that.
Just found your channel and I already subscribe. I put a video on my channel that’s reading vlog I mention cause one the books I’m is an Elvis fiction book which you don’t hear lot of Elvis fans talk about Elvis fiction.
Good INFORMATION THEY PLAYED SUCH GAME HIS TIME OF MUSIC HIS FACE TOO. LOOK UP HOW NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS CHANGED THERE MASCOTT FACE WHICH TOOK ELVIS'S LOOKS (FROFILE) YOU FLYING ELVIS.. WELL HE GOT FROM WHEN HE PLAYED FOOTBALL. DO YOU HAVE ANY OF INFO ON THAT.🤭
Hey Barbara, I don't recall ever hearing of the "flying Elvis", but I did some research on it, and you're right. That's what they've always called it, and it definitely resembles Elvis' chin, mouth, and sideburns. Thanks for the cool info!

I LOVE the old Elvis ads, but I can't find a whole bunch. Maybe he didn't need a ton of ads.
