One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people.
He said, "My son, the battle is between two "wolves" inside us all.
One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.
The other is good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith."
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: "Which wolf wins?"
The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."

Worse is that when these people have a Negtive outburst, they will think they need to have more "Control" negtive outburst to help them release their Anger but it just will make it that they get angry more. It become it own feedback loop.

There has been a lot of experiments even a great video on youtube by vsauces mindfield that shows people that are allowed to release anger continue to be more angry and aggressive after releasing these emotions than those that were allowed to cooldown and reflect in a room for a length of time.

If you get into the habit of releasing anger physically, it eventually becomes the only way you can release stress. And eventually, you'll release it on people and animals instea of inanimate objects. So don't do it, or you'll turn into a bad person who hits others when they're angry

The act of venting your anger in this way has more serious consequences. Venting anger doesn't actually result in catharsis or relief-instead, it typically reinforces and even worsens anger.
A 1999 study found that venting anger and rage can lead to further feelings of aggressive behavior.
An outdated Sigmund Freud theory on catharsis suggests that anger and aggression must be expressed to reduce feelings of aggression. However, modern research has mostly debunked this theory. Behavioral health experts over the years have found the opposite to be true, stating that venting in an aggressive way can cause a person to become angrier

If you do that kind of stuff when you're mad, what happens when you get mad at/near other people...pretty self explanatory but a lot of people don't get it.

Not everyone who has hit their breaking point is all of the sudden a physical danger to you.
I've met people that are great at holding their composure, but who they are as a person and what they do is malicious.
I've met people who can't let things go period, but they'll never hurt a fly out of frustration - you'll just know that they are - That's more honest and less snaky imo... The world is changing.

I remember not too long ago a few studies that had finished on the topic of "venting rage" and other related theories. They basically all boiled down to "smashing things, punching/kicking, screaming, and even fighting, in order to release anger doesn't reduce feelings of anger or rage and actually lessens ability to manage anger compared to the control groups who were subjected to the same anger-triggers but made to sit in silence or calmly meditate (depending on the study)"
So all these women are doing are reinforcing their minds to resort to anger more quickly to release it rather than control, analyze, and dissipate it. Those studies also showed men in the control groups had further reduced symptoms of anger than the women, despite both doing nothing to vent. They theorized that the men in the control group, by western standards, have had to hold in emotions more often by social standards and thus had a better handle on anger mitigation in calm silence.
Vsauce did one himself, if I remember correctly, inspired by the results of some of them

Its not societal thing that made men more calm and in control of their anger. Men are just born with better capacity for controlling anger than women can as they are more emotionally prone to express emotions more than men. Men are more reserved in letting anger control them or allow anger to make bad decisions for them because they experience and see that anger leads to violence with other people when they let it out. So men are more careful in deciding to not get involved with violence because they let their anger control them. Women on the other hand are more likely express their emotions and anger, releasing it iregardless of consequences of it.

And if you're angry most of the time you become better than being angry. While its important to acknowledge and work through your feelings, that doesn't mean they should control you. And there are many ways to vent anger that are not actually violent. Because you're venting the ENERGY, not the anger. Ironically, meditation and yoga and exercise would all be good and fairly healthy ways to vent that negative energy. But, that's the issue, HEALTHY. The modern generations are like "yall had some unhealthy habits growing up, now its a competition, mine will be worse....BET."

And for every statement you can think of, there's a scientific paper that supports that statement being true. Some internet user saying "there have been studies" without providing sources is basically worthless. And even if a source is provided, I could probably dig up science papers that says that letting out anger is better.

The dangerous part about anger, is that it's addictive. The worst that could happen if you often train yourself to "just let go", is that you'll eventually get to that point where your body would look for it. You'd suddenly want your release over innocuous and petty things. And you'd let your emotions take the wheel more often. Only to realize you're actively harming people(and pets) around you, physically and emotionally. There's a reason a rageaholic is a thing, and why there's such thing as anger management counseling and therapy.

I worked over it by learning how to properly vent out my angers by using breathing exercises and letting out anger in more healthier ways. I went into a rage room once and I fully realized that I really liked being angry which is completely unhealthy. I loved the feeling of it. I still get angry every now and then, the temper is not completely gone but I realized that wanting to be angry all the time is not healthy for my mind.

"While venting anger is often seen as a way to effectively relief feelings of frustration and stress, research has actually found that blowing off steam through physical acts of aggression and violence makes your anger worse. Simply put, it's not a healthy way to deal with difficult emotions."
Venting is a good way of dealing with traumatic experiences in the past. The problem with allowing yourself to become angry is that it makes you more likely to be angry more often as you start seeing it as a more normal emotion to have on a day to day basis. You should not be angry everyday. You may vent your emotions to people verbally but this makes it physical, and if you do nothing about it afterwards it becomes a bigger problem. What you should do is use these negative emotions as a motivator to fix why you feel these negative emotions in the first place, rather than vent the negative emotions, as this causes you to lose the biggest motivator you have, your negative emotions.

i used to have anger issues until about a decade ago, i learned you dont need to hold anger in, you dont need to contain it or focus it on anything, you can just let whatever made you angry go. when you can do that anger becomes brief and manageable, most of the time sitting stewing on your anger is a waste of time and energy.
