What if you were not satisfied with his answers would that make them wrong? For your information the New Testament church does not tithe AT ALL! Here are a few points to consider. -- Who did God appoint to receive tithes? God said, "And, behold, I have given the children of Levi all the tenth [the tithe] in Israel for an inheritance, for their service which they serve, even the service of the tabernacle of the congregation (Numbers 18:21). In this scripture, God established who receives the tithe (the Levites), and why they received it (they received no inheritance, and they served in the temple). This assignment is exclusive to Levites. A pastor cannot assume this assignment, he has never been scripturally assigned by God to collect tithes, he is not a Levite. This is what Jesus say about tithe and any kind of giving! 2 Corinthians 9:7 "each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver". The tithe was under the Moasic law. We are no longer under the Mosaic law but under GRACE through the blood of Jesus. Modern day tithing was introduced as a mandatory means to collect money by the Catholic church in 700 ad. The rest of the churches saw that this was a certain way to collect money from all the church goers. The Catholic church even went as far thretening non tithers with hell. The protestant religions churches lead their church goes to believe that God would pay them back 10 fold, some even 100 fold. These preachers lie right from their pulpits. So this is how the very poor are decieved into paying money that should be putting food on the table with. They are told that as they give, God will pull them out of poverty. When these same poverty folk go to their preacher who has been fleecing them looking for financial help, the preacher turns them away and tells them the reason they are still poor is because they have no faith. So the innocent and poor person feels even more dejected and feels helpless because he is told he HAS NO FAITH, according to preacher, and now his family goes hungry. Mean while the preacher becomes stinking rich.off the poverty of these poor folk. The whole tithe story is a gimic, a fraud a lie. IF the preacher is genuinely called of God then it is his duty to trust God for his needs and the needs of the church, not to trust in the tithe. I do not say that you must not give to the church you attend. Give according to the guide lines set in 2 Cor. 9:6-8. God loves a cheerful giver. Tithing brings you under the curse of the law.

Tithing in the New Testament Church is showing a lack of understanding and faith in what Christ did for us on the Cross.

Beginning in *Malachi 1:6 "O priests who despise My name", God is speaking to the Sons of Levi and Jacob, the Levitical priesthood under the law of sin and death, the Mosaic Law, not the nation of Israel, not the Bride of Christ, not the New Testament Church.
In *Malachi 1:8 God tells the Levitical Priesthood they are presenting blind, halt, and lame, sacrifices and even suggests it is evil. Again, God was NOT speaking to Israel, the Bride of Christ, the New Testament Church, in these scriptures.
He's speaking to the levitical priesthood, especially in *Malachi 3:8-10 when he threatens the Levitical Priesthood with a Curse for robbing God and the nation of Israel of Tithes and Offerings, for the aforementioned reasons in Malachi 1:8.
Also, the Biblical Tithe was never 'Money'. In the Bible, they never paid the priesthood with Shekels, Silver, and Gold; they paid a tenth of their agricultural products, clearly not Money, yet clearly they had money to pay it with if that were an acceptable Tithe.
In addition to this, the Word of God tells us in *James 2:10 "For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all.". No one could ever keep all 613 commandments and ordinances under the law of sin and death, the Mosaic Law.
But Christ'sacrifice on the cross made a way, *Colossians 2:14 "Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;"
*Hebrews 7:5 "And those indeed of the sons of Levi who receive the priest's office have commandment in the Law to collect a tenth from the people, that is, from their brethren, although these are descended from Abraham"
*Hebrews 7:11 "Now if perfection was through the Levitical priesthood (for on the basis of it the people received the Law), what further need was there for another priest to arise according to the order of Melchizedek, and not be designated according to the order of Aaron?"
*Hebrews 7:18-19 "For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof. For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God."
Our perfect example of how God wants us to support and give in the new testament church today is in *Matthew 10:8 and *2 Corinthians 9:7

First and foremost, tithe is not money..
The tithe was under the Moasic law. We are no longer under the Mosaic law but under GRACE through the blood of Jesus. Modern day tithing was introduced as a mandatory means to collect money by the Catholic church in 700 ad. The rest of the churches saw that this was a certain way to collect money from all the church goers. The Catholic church even went as far thretening non tithers with hell. The protestant religions churches lead their church goes to believe that God would pay them back 10 fold, some even 100 fold. These preachers lie right from their pulpits. So this is how the very poor are decieved into paying money that should be putting food on the table with. They are told that as they give, God will pull them out of poverty. When these same poverty folk go to their preacher who has been fleecing them looking for financial help, the preacher turns them away and tells them the reason they are still poor is because they have no faith. So the innocent and poor person feels even more dejected and feels helpless because he is told he HAS NO FAITH, according to preacher, and now his family goes hungry. Mean while the preacher becomes stinking rich.off the poverty of these poor folk.
The whole tithe story is a gimic, a fraud a lie. IF the preacher is genuinely called of God then it is his duty to trust God for his needs and the needs of the church, not to trust in the tithe. I do not say that you must not give to the church you attend. Give according to the guide lines set in 2 Cor. 9:6-8. God loves a cheerful giver. Tithing brings you under the curse of the law.

Tithing was given to the Levite tribe since they were the priests of God and had not
received an inheritance like the other tribes.
First and foremost, it is important to understand that tithing is an Old
Testament concept. The word "tithe" means "tenth" and was a requirement
of the Hebrew law that mandated the Israelites to give ten percent of all
they produced or earned to the Temple / Tabernacle (Leviticus
27:30; Numbers 18:26; Deuteronomy 14:24; 2 Chronicles 31:5). In addition, there were other laws which, when combined with the original tithe, made

translation of that specific verse because it reads “bring ALL THE TITHES”

were paying tithes properly, you would pay a MINIMUM of 23.333333%. This was an Old Testament requirement, and not for Christians. Christians live under Grace.
In Galatians 2:16 we are told that no one can please God by obeying The
Law. We can only please Him by faith in Christ. We are DEAD to the law. If
you obey one law, you have to obey all of them, and if you live by the law, Grace no longer has an effect on you (Galatians 5:4). If you live by the law, you are NOT saved.
The guideline for our giving to God and His work is found in 2 Corinthians 9:6-7: "Now
this I say, he who sows sparingly shall also reap sparingly; and he who sows
bountifully shall also reap bountifully. Let each one do just as he has purposed in his
heart; not grudgingly or under compulsion; for God loves a cheerful giver.".
If you give 3% of your salary, fantastic. If you give 73% of your salary, fantastic, just
as long as you give out of your own heart and not because of fear or you think you
have to in order to be blessed by God.
If you struggle to give, pray for a generous heart, don’t let charlatans manipulate
you into giving. Above all, read and study your Bible, read it in context.
