I also installed an engine skid plate on my Wrangler Willys. It was an ASFIR out of Israel. They did a fantastic job of shipping. I find it amazing that Jeep doesn't provide any engine skid plates on these vehicles. In fact, the dealer removed the OEM transmission skid plate on my Willys because it was a manual and there was a recall for the clutch overheating--this was the dealer's remedy. If I ever bought a Wrangler 392, I would never go off-roading with it for that kind of $.
Not releated to this but have you seen many JL's...NEW JL's come in with a leaking shock? My front left shock is leaking in my garage on my 392. I only have 1000 miles on the Jeep. lol
Very disappointing to hear that Next Venture Motorsports’ product was so problematic, especially given the price. I went with Mountain Off-Road (M.O.R.E.) aluminum engine/trans skid. Mounted up perfectly with all bolts holes drilled as needed and product hardware was powder coated. Glad I passed on NVMS.
What a poor product. I have Artec skids on my 2024 XR and Rusty’s on my 2023 392. Both were ready to go out of the box and easy install. I really dislike the big hump on your crossover.

This is next venture the charge a good penny for there product, should be perfect fit !!!
Good info, waiting for more follow-ups. I do have the aluminum oil pan, and wondering if it’s different for it.
I like ASFIR skid plates
✌️
It’s unfortunate that the crossover pipe was an afterthought for Jeep on the 392 and the skid plate was purely just quickly adapted to fit from NV.
