Your the best new subscriber you earned it bud
thanks man, good thing your getting ahead of your game. iam going to make my own stick controller. iam using keyboard to play street fighter 5 on my gaming pc on steam. i will be fixing my connection issue soon, might need new router.
Hey nice build man. Great tip with using the soldering iron to port holes in the plexiglass; Gonna have to give that a try . Might also be a good idea to use some sort of round gasket as washers for the screws holding down the plexiglass to prevent it from cracking over time.
i know it is kind of off topic but does anybody know of a good site to stream newly released movies online?
@Ernest Angel flixportal
@Derrick Stefan Thank you, I went there and it seems like a nice service :D Appreciate it!
@Ernest Angel Happy to help xD
Does the cheap zero delay usb encoder when used on a PS3 have a PS Home button mapping? I didn't see on on your diagram.
Very Cool !!
probably is more easy if you use the solder iron to make all the holes
Hi great video ive ordered 1 2 of these off ebay how can i wire my coin door to these buttons to work in mame because these buttons aint micro switches like the concave style buttons thanks dude
Is there room inside for a raspberry pi? I would love to make a unit to hook up to my TV.
Nice.
May I know how to connect a USB joystick to JAMMA harness? I just have the arcade board without the cabinet and I already found a RGB to VGA converter. Hopefully you can share your experience with me.
I used a drill with plenty of lubricant (wd40-like) and going slow and had no issues if you might be interested.
😊😊🤷♂🤷♂ yey :D
Is there a way to make this work on ps4, like downloading the libraries for ps4 into the raspberry? I ordered one two years ago and the dude who made it didnt make a HOME button for it, so the legacy drivers wont start because of that.
This video was awesome but what kept it from amazing was the music XD
Hi Thanks for the feedback. I really appreciate it. My new videos will try to have lower volume background music. My place is has a lot of traffic noise and the music was just to hide it.
It was sort of a joke. the music volume wasn't bad at all. The song however is probably in 99% of all diy videos lol. It was still a good video though :)
+Kon0 ok. I'm trying to vary it abit with different tunes. Just got lazy :) thanks for letting me know though.
Where from i can buy joystick that you mention in vedio kindly tell me the type of that USB device so i can purchase easily From in Pakistan
I'll seriously buy one. I have the buttons and the case and had a raspberry pi 3 but, I can't figure out the wire to button layout in mini pac. Also I touched the ground wire to the empty spot on the left of the wires attached to the raspberry pi and it fried itself. This has happened 2x so far. I'm so pissed. Please set up an auction on ebay. Or pm me.
cool
awesome video...all the precautions made me wonder if you did cut yourself until halfway through the video I see your thumb wrapped in tape lol
Lol. You caught me!
I have the ps4 handle and the logitech f710. Can I get the quality I get from these two joysticks? Can you make combo comfortable while playing SF4 or SF5? Could someone please try?
Great video! I found the case on Amazon but a reviewer said the case panel was too thick for Sanwa buttons and to use the “thread & nut” type. Did you have any problems getting you Sanwa buttons to lock into place?
It's best with the screw in type sanwas OSBN buttons. I have started to use those.
How thick is the acrylic top panel?
I saw somone wiring the buttons to a modern snes controller so it could be wireless and work on the Nintendo switch as well as pc Mac and phones 8bitdo
Yeah that's cool too. I think it was the 8bitdo SNES controllers.
spawn wave?
how do you activate the stick on ps3? Does it need the home button to turn on, like ps4?
what about the home button? how do I map it if i'm using a ps3?
if I make an arcade stick like this one, will it work with the Nintendo Switch if I use the Mayflash magic-ns adapter?
Bobert Tamowy no, it won’t work. You’d have to purchase a cheap Nintendo switch joypad and use the board from it to wire it up
I want one like yours
Is this a RAC-J500H American Style Arcade Joystick ?
hey do you know if there's a way to config the "ps" button on the ps3?
I am actually gonna try this. gonna reply to my comment with pictures when I do
...
Can you use both the 5 pin and 4 inputs for directions at the same time? I am looking to see if you can have one as analog stick and the other as d pad.
You probably will short something if the ground is same on both. But worth a try.
Is there a way to add an eight button layout
Does this really work on ps3,please tell I have to build this arcade stick.
Did you find an alternate plexi source. The Ikea frame is a good idea but I may not have any use for the rest of it.
Home depot or Lowe's has plexi but they're more expensive if waste is a convern. Dollar stores sometimes have frames with plastic instead of glass.
I bouth the sanwa crystal blue joystick for 33 and the buttons for 22. I only play kof
what size are the screws? I lost one
Where can you buy an assembled joystick like you mention in the beginning of your video? Would you post a link? Thx
+William Lee check out my latest video
ua-cam.com/video/6AZbJxHwYiQ/v-deo.html
will pi 3b fit insde?
I prefer a crown lever bat-top joystick and some sanwa buttons.
Ken can you please add a link for people with Sanwa Sticks, this kit you linked to is only for happ style that i can tell.
i'm pretty sure they're for Sanwa since the quick connects are smaller.
Do these work well for fighting games? Should I invest in sanwa buttons if I just want to casually play?
+Sean G the stock buttons are fine for most peopel
where did you get the artwork printed at? and do you have a template for the artwork? My case is on the way. They have a case with 2 buttons on the side but it slants and i want a flat case.
+Ty Theep I just used white paper and stickers. I used the control panel as a template to cut it out.
I have some questions so, I just bought all the parts i got the Sanwa version ahaha. When i get it do i plug the joystick into L3? An what would i put in to add weight
+Amir Bahic depends if your joystick has a 5pin connector or not. The instructions will show you clearly where to plug it. With the buttons look at my diagram in the video.
Oh i see it, it should tho right cuhz the L3 would just be the button press (like the click in) thats why i was asking this makes more sense now cant believe i missed it lol
Could you use a brook universal fighting board for this build?
+SSI I can't see why not.
Nice video, but I wonder.....
Is there an USB encoder that is compatible with all consoles or some sort of setup that allows to switch between different encoders?
I would like an arcade stick that is compatible with PS4, Switch and PC.
+mastermp2 I'm not aware of one. But you can buy adapters from Brook. They make lots for different systems
Hey nice video is the pcb only for ps3 and pc?
+Peraliq it works with raspberry Pi too. It might work for PS4 but I don't have one to test.
cool if you'd build one with a computer inside and set it up with something so it wd be plug and play at your friends place
maybe two episodes
Home button?
Just go to a thrust shop for picture frame because the one I go to had picture frames for like $2 If there smaller
Sure that's a good way to save a few more bucks.
You should always reread your comment carefully before posting it so you don't end up in a thrust shop instead of a thrift shop
Did you just leave the zero delay floating in the box? Or was it attached somehow?
Double sided tape
Has anyone put Happ buttons and stick in one of these? I'm curious if they would mount well or if the buttons would jiggle. I don't want to buy everything and have it not work.
+Propellarhead9 Haps typically has nuts to screw in so it should be snug but might be too long.
Does it work with xbox one?
So do the USB Encoders that come with all of these DIY kits work with PS3 right out the box or is it just specific ones? I want to make sure the stick I build works with my ps3
+bi1238 hi I know the zero delay ones in this video work for sure. Not sure of others.
kenVersus okay I'll make sure to get one of those then. Thanks so much and good work on the very clear and helpful video!
Ken Versus, Do you have the Digital ARTWORK of this DIY Arcade Box?(The image of the mario characters)
I don't anymore. It was just some images from Google.
I've done a build with a similar PS2/3/PC encoder and I was wondering.
Is there a place to connect a home-button or how do you connect it to PS3 ?
+Henri Lähteenmäki not sure if you can add a home button since the delay boards don't have that. But definitely works with my PS3 though just use real PS3 controller for home.
sorry for necroposting, but i just bought the same case just recently (weeeew) but it has 2x 30mm holes on the right side of the case probably as an updated feature most likely start and select / homebutton (the Zero Delay PCB has no Home button btw).
6x 30mm buttons like this video, but 2x 24mm buttons on the top row instead. Since I'm using it for PS3/PC via programs. Gonna take aawhile to arrive but can't wait to work on it when it does.
Its running on a PS3 or in a raspberry?
Hey man,. Can it works on android??
Is there enough room for a 4 top and 4 buttom row of buttons if one were to drill extra holes?
+Noredor no there isn't any room to drill unfortunately.
Noredor depends on which case you buy. I bought one off the list, there's room.
Do you know where I can get the 8 button variant of this. I've seen them for sale complete but I can't find just the shell.
kenVersus Thanks. For the life of me i could not find anything like that. I need the extra buttons for a little nintendo switch project ive got cooking.
+Seth Jones cool, hopefully you make a video to share!
Does it work on PS4?
Work with xbox 360
Can you test it with retroarch too? On a PS3. 👍👍
😊😊🤷♂🤷♂ working for Rettroarch on PC
and this will work on a ps3
but the buttons are all random ly placed hehe
Okay so sanwa buttons are fine but how would i plug in the sanwa stick
+Amir Bahic sanwa jlf joystick you'd need a 5pin cable to connect to the board. or get 5 female breadboard wires.
hi id love to make this wireless but how would i use it with a bluetooth set up? or is it better to get a wireless that works with a dongle?
Get an 8bitdo Bluetooth xontroller and pad hack it.
kenVersus what do i do? bridge the control pads for each button?
yeah you'd have to solder each button to the circuit board. Just google "pad hacking".
kenVersus thanks will do
how much it cost??
For the usb encoder would i need to glue it down?
+Amir Bahic hi. I didn't glue it down. But it's not a bad idea to do that. Double sided tape works too
Do u no were I can buy it built in with arcade stick
This is my review of a pre-built one.
ua-cam.com/video/guwd-_zuvuw/v-deo.html
Sorry but I have another question.Do you just need the USB board or a motherboard
You need some usb encoder. Links in the description
do you have to switch this into different modes or do you just plug it into the console
+Sherk you don't have to select modes. Just plug it in
thanks for replying
welp, i built mine, booted up the ps3 and went into mortal kombat and found out, that only the buttons, up and left work so im stuck jumping up or up and left
Is this ps4 compatible?
will this work with the nintendo switch by chance??please inform us we would love to this!!
+steve jimenez it doesn't unfortunately work with switch
Ty, any chance it works for the ps4"?
steve jimenez there's a video of somone buying a snes 30 controller and making it into a wireless arcade stick and that works on switch
how to make it work for ps4?
you cant make it work for ps4
are there any of those that have 8 buttons layout instead ?
I have see them before on aliexpress. But they are harder to find.
found one but it's 52 bucks..
If I use the Ikea picture frame to put an artwork on the front panel, will the snap-in buttons still fit? I read that the snap-in buttons will only work if the panel is max. 1/8 inch (3.175mm) thick. However, in the product description of this exact acrylic panel, it says that the panel is 5mm thick. I don't want my buttons to accidentally snap out of the panel, therefore I am considering screw buttons, but they are a bit more pricey.
An answer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
+Proto520 hi ideally screw ins will work better because of what you say. I haven’t noticed them popping out but I guess it could happen.
does this work with sanwa snap in buttons?
The snaps osbf will fit but screw ons osbn would work better.
kenVersus the link to banggood says panel thickness is 5mm, and on focusattack website they say sanwa obsf snap-in can support 3.175mm thick panels. I'm just trying to make sure this case will work with the obsf 30mm & 24mm buttons I ordered
i have problem with analog stick , don't go with virtua fighter 5
Does this work with the xbox one?
+Josh Silva I don't think it works.
Do you have a template to print the graphics
I don't unfortunately. I just use the top as a mask to cut out the design on paper.
@@KenVersus what kind of paper do you use?
i was hoping this was going to have rasp pi built in lol
+Shane Tyas it's definitely possible to put one in. I put a rpi into a Pandora's box. ua-cam.com/video/oYMl-UCcibs/v-deo.html
I put a Rpi in a clear case here:ua-cam.com/video/6AZbJxHwYiQ/v-deo.html
how do you get custom artwork and what is the size needed to fit the artwork.
+Duh good Asian you can just look for wallpaper or pictures on Google. It's about the size of an 8x11 piece of paper
thx
No idea where you're spending $80 for a full set of Sanwa parts. Just checked and you can get 8 30mm, 3 24mm, and a JLF for less than $50 shipped
where can i find artwork?
+Sean G just google for wallpaper and print it out.
can you use this on pc?
Yes it works on pc
could this be used on xbox?
+OhhJustSTFU it doesn't work on an Xbox.
could he use this on mobile with otg cable
+pooldevil devil yes it should work with otg and android.
+kenVersus play super mario on android with this ? please reply"""
it will work if you map the buttons in the settings on the emulator
Does it work for ps4? Plz respond I need it
For some games that support the ps3 controlers.
how do you get to the menu to exit a game on mame?
+SW21 Sharky it really depends. You have to configure a key to exit.
kenVersus adding 2 24mm on the side will complete it. For pause and menu
+SW21 Sharky yeah that works too. I use recalbox and it uses the select+start to exit games. So I don’t need extra buttons. Maybe your program allows this?
possible to make it wireless controller?
Definitely. Use either Ps3 or 8bitdo Bluetooth controller
@@KenVersus what do you mean by using a ps3 bluetooth controller? Like instead of using that easyget pcb encoder you would use the pcb off a dual dualshock 3?
this is work on ps2
For andriod ?
Should work but you need otg adapter.
works with xbox 360? ps3?
PS3 yes, but not the Xbox 360.
how about ps4?? thanks for answering
+Duck Producciones Cbba not sure about PS4. I don't have a PS4.
This can use on PC?
Yes works with pc
@@KenVersus does it work on android??
Could this work for android?
Yes it should.
+kenVersus First video which helped me in an easy way .I am going to build my own arcade stick like u did but with wood material - which I have access to tools and etc.
my main question is u have used and given links to parts example bit.ly/bgarcadekit
so if I buy this kit, I don't need to buy anything extra to connect with my pc or ps3? I mean another board or driver disk? Will it automatically detect on pc and ps3 ? that is the main question.
btw subscribed !!
+Nvrmndryo hi. You won't need any drivers for PS3 or PC. Windows detected it without issues. PS3 worked without any thing else too. Good luck!
Does it work with PS4 ? Please reply.
Probably not.
My wireless PS3 fight stick works on Tekken 7 for PS4 so I’m sure it will work
Ok
Balveer Singh
update:
I just received my amazon arcade diy joystick and as long as everything is wired properly, yes it will work with your PS4. Just make sure you have your auto-shut off turned off because the PS4 doesn’t pick up the joystick as a controller
Or you can buy a cheap arcade stick and put a raspberry in it.
Yeah that would work too.
Boooo Wendy
What about ps4 ?
+tpax3p people on shoryuken says it works with SFV on ps4
so it should work with other games to? like blazblue?
this is a nice tutorial but the music.. You need to change it up.. Sounds generic asf
+Tk_Till_Dead thanks for the feedback!
donate me that stick
I can't stand that song, is the housewife night out song, make it stop aaagggghhhhh!
