Jane is the mother to 3 amazing grown-ups and a very proud grandmother of 2! She has worked in the tourism industry, the non-profit area and a little retail. She has been a wife, a volunteer, a board member, a caregiver and a condo President! Now in her retirement, she enjoys an occasional OLLIE class, a membership in a women’s group supporting a local hospital and some very delightful time doing whatever she pleases!
JENNIFER SHELBY
A third generation Townie, Jen defected to Bloomington, IN to attend IU and earn her bachelor’s degree in psychology. She eventually returned to Champaign and worked different retail jobs until accepting the unlikely position of car salesperson in 1993.
In 2008 she found herself faced with the opportunity to buy the dealership and against better judgment she did just that. She owned and operated Shelby Motors until 2013 when she sold the store.
Quickly getting bored, she bought two more dealerships in Hoopeston, IL and sold the last of those in 2021 when she turned her attention to Shatterglass Films which she had helped found in 2015.
She is now happily retired from the car biz and is serving as the President/CEO of Flyover Film Studios. To further illustrate her profound inability to understand what retirement means, she volunteers. Currently serving as a Trustee for Blackburn College in Carlinville, IL, on the board of CU Sunrise Rotary and treasurer of The Courtsiders, supporting Women's Basketball at the University of Illinois.
