I am so burned out on the Cron Stone Grind that I have become demoralized. They refuse to add Cron Stones to the Global Loot table like they have Caphras Stones in hopes it would drive insane Pearl purchases. I wish everyone would stop buying anything in the game. I simply refuse to give them what they want, which is my money. Reverse Progression should not be a thing, expecting players to grind 30 hours a week should not be a thing. If I can not progress with 2 hours a day, then I will never progress any further in the game. My time is more valuable as I actually have a life, and to watch PA continuously up the ante and make even more Cron Stone demands is ridiculous. Because I run Blue Squadrons Alliance Guild, I cant just quit out of respect and duty to the active players, but it doesn't mean I have to spend all day in game either. If only reverse Progression was made illegal in China, we would finally get it, and gone would be the Cron Stones. I am taking an educated guess that PA has be solely working on the game release in China, as they know the rest of the world is quitting left and right, so they are betting everything that China will save them. I do not think this will happen, as the popularity will gain the eyes of the CCP and drive new laws to be passed banning most of the predatory income mechanics PA is so reliant on with its business model. Pearl Abyss may get a year at best out of China before something changes to regulate the way games are monetized. within 12 months, there will be forced changes by the Shareholders. There is a reason Jae wasn't on camera, if I were to bet, it has something to do with Shareholders keeping him off camera and instead, sending these clowns. ----Fake, I am sorry to keep going with such a long rant, please allow me to cook just a bit more focusing on PA themselves. I have been pulling my hair out for years at how bad this game runs. It took 9 YEARS to figure out that Collisions cause Server Lag! That is Game Development 101!!!!! I could resolve Dozens of game issues every single month, while Your Management of your development teams takes years to do not even a fraction of that and I learned ALL of this on my own working on it part time through experience, not from school while I was working as an Aerospace Engineer. Remember this one rule that will NEVER change. You NEED the Players, the players do NOT need you!! You have appeared to forgotten that. Do not try to reinvent the wheel, and start implementing what works, and you want to know what works? Listen to your players, communicate often, allow flexibility to your region offices to have a much greater range of power to run events in games as they know the players best. Use them for more than bullet sponges, let them get the data by trying events with the players bases. Work more efficiently, and For Fucks sake, stop Micromanaging them by keeping their hands tied behind their backs. We love our Region Office Teams, let them actually work!

T&L is where it's at, until the dec rules revert and Marnie realm is lowered back to 1 hour a day I won't return. They waited until after us pvpers kept the game alive the whole time while it was unplayable to change the game so they could sell it in China. Make China's server different from the other servers. They made gear way too easy now, and think all new content has to be done by new players.
Run in circles to get silver to queue to buy costumes to get crons to fail enhancements and start over no further ahead. If you do succeed your path remains unchanged.
That made me stop playing few months ago, complete guttering of any endgame pvp content that is tied to your gear and for pve once you reach past 700gs its literaly pointless to try to get more. Even the thought of " Hey, i wanna be able to defend myself or my spot, or be strong in nodewars eventualy" kept me going and grinding and everything else required to get gear. But then its all been removed and the simple "number go up" isnt enough anymore
@@Nisenziart For PvP I think they wanted it tied to crons also. Pre-DR patch skilled, but low GS players could do well in open world duels. Now there is a greater focus on gear than before. Skill still is important, but debos make HP drop. Only reason to debo is PvP, but meaningful PvP was removed. The addition of new accessories demonstrate how the devs have no clue what they're doing.

They need to stop stalking gear out so much where it doesn't matter even when you get it. The gear feels worthless now. It's a power fantasy, the need to make the newest spot the best grind spot. If you aren't there yet then work at it and you can grind the other spots less contested. And the hammers omg!!
It took me far too long to finally realize that I was pointlessly wasting hundreds of hours to get gear for absolutely fucking nothing but to run back to the same stupid spot for hundreds of hours more to waste all the effort in a matter of minutes. If I had something to fun to put my gear towards, I'd maybe still try and slowly gun for gear. But no. I'm over it.
In all seriousness, I love BDO and it is truly an open world sandbox full of stuff to do, unfortunately theyve nerfed everything that isnt grinding down to nothing so its not worth doing. Back in the days when the grinding got too much id go and Barter make easy billions just sailing the seas, that content was killed because it was making too much silver. If they revitalized the other aspects of the game i dont think players would care as much when things become mundane like now. But today, lifeskilling is dogshit silver, bartering is nerfed to the ground and cooking and alchemy are literally cooked unless youre Guru 50. Stars end was the best expansion in BDO imo. New zone, new monsters, new AP, new accessories and new weapon. I remember watching you grind there for the first time and gearing up so i could finally do that content. Now i have to look forward to grinding under a lantern like some of stalker in a bad rom com. Weapons and AP mean nothing and next upgrade is all for what!?!? so i can be a slightly stronger creep under the street lamp. Its cooked....My favorite game i ever played has been reduced to shit. Your edits always made the content in the game feel fresh and new and i appreciate that but I do see what you mean about peoples livelihood being at stake. 10/10 video. Everything you said is completly true. After 12k hours BDO is no longer the game that i fell in love with. Yes it was always a solo grinder but it was never as unrewarding as it is now. They fucked the game up by making everything just a 100+h grind or spending thousands on crons to just do the same thing over and over and over. Im happy that throne and liberty released so i can take a break from bdo and maybe come back when the game is rewarding me for the time i invest in it.

I set up a random number generator to pick a number from 1-100. I then roll a number from 1-1000000000. If the numbers match I'll log in. I treat it just like enhancing ingame. All the "hard" work devs do are for nothing just like my hours of grinding. I want them to progress under same rules as my mystic.
PA doesn't seem to value player trust, but unlike most companies they overall have been losing trust slowly rather than instantly. It's a testament to the great magnitudes at which people love this game. Unfortunately I think it's been 5-7 years since I've felt they've actually valued the trust of their players (when they formally apologized for renown score lmfao), or even truly thought about what that should mean to them. The extensive damage of lost trust is already done, and I don't trust them to make the changes necessary to get back in touch with the playerbase (or lost playerbase). If that's what they're attempting to do, PA truly needs massive changes in the BDO division...
Deader the game gets the less whales that will be here and then less costumes to buy. The people in NA who are so use to being able to get outfit crons will eventually quit the game because their orders aren't being filled like they're used to and they're so use to having a superiority complex over the EU server that most will quit rather than use vendor crons.
Basically, let me explain it like this: "We gave you two weapons to enhance up to level X. Oh no! Looks like they'll need a ton more Crons to get that enhancement to X times two! So, we're going to sell more outfits, knowing players will swipe their cards to get more Crons and progress faster. Oops, we made a mistake-we made it too easy to enhance. Now, they won't spend as much. Sorry about that, but what we’re really saying is: Sorry to ourselves, because we messed up, not you." NW? No comment on that ... They could have rolled this back a long time ago and probably kept some players. Ah well, guess it's time to log into TnL.
People liking the Karazad but i think they missed on the karazad accessory so bad. The crystals and slots for Karazad should not have been acquired through old yellow pen accessories(aka more grinding) but instead crafted items from all life skills. You could of revived another dead part of the game and give it a reason to do. They are so one dimensional for selling cron stones that it has fried their brain cells responsible for creativity.
I've said it on my stream, but I was fairly disappointed by this video. Not because of the new progression which might be good, but because they just gave away the farm and now we're getting blue grade accessories, not only skipping reds, but they are only going to serve as a low/mid game item to ease deboreka accessory grinding. The cap isn't very high, and the brackets are insignificant. It's not necessarily PA's failure to give content to endgame players, but honestly that early and midgame players will feel "empty" gains because they won't even REMEMBER passing 269ap, because they logged in, got a free PEN blackstar, and every gain they get beyond that will be less significant than the last one. There used to be an "achievement push" up to 269, where hard work actually had high ROI for power-pushing - which helped balance open world pvp, made grindspots truly exclusive, and made gear > class > crystals when it came to pve OR pvp - all inclusive. This meta seems gone, and I fear it'll cause people to have less enjoyment pushing ap brackets (particularly early game players pushing to ~300ap or so - because what reward is there? a 1% increase after 2 weeks of grinding? I'm gonna be out there putting hours but they need to fix this. also #stillwatching
Wasn't the nodewar change just a response to players asking for the old version to come back, yet knowing that other regions pvp scene will falter again with the old system? They're giving the community the choice of which node war version they want to play now and we're flaming them for giving us the choice? Sure this doesnt solve the server issues but maybe I'm missing something?

I left the game over a year ago because of debos and looking at all this new content blows my mind, they are "fixing" the debo grind by making people grind or buy tet debos just to convert them into "easier" to enhance "debos"............. Also sovereign weapons, what the fuck are they on about talking about them being easy to get like WHAT?? Back when Godr was released I had converted all my blackstars into godr for those little ap gains but never enhanced a blackstar on the side to pen or my godrs to pen. Then they come out with sovereign and say "they are easy to get" as if having two pen blackstars isn't a huge task or 4 in total if you make both main and awakening, and the cron cost fuck me they are braindead. This game continues to surprise me with how much shittier it becomes with each big update. Not to mention all the old content they seem to have forgotten about like you mentioned altar of blood, the dungeon still doesn't have it's 4th part, the node war changes are laughable, do people actually do rbf anymore? This game has literally lost it's identity. A game that 4-5 years ago I couldn't stop playing because I genuinely loved it, has now just become a title that I shelved to collect dust for at this point what feels like will be eternity.
Our extremely convoluted accessory grind was really bad, so here is an even more extremely convoluted system to try to make up for the previous one. These Korean mmo devs love creating problems and then selling the solution to players.

Tbh I feel like this is the cycle of all MMOs running circles, Your either running them in Dungeons or Running them in Mobs. WoW and FF14 for example same copy pasta of same dungeons over & over again just in a different location different scenery and different looks for the monsters. Same repetitive mechanics though end game same 5-6 dungeons you did on normal just on harder difficulty. All MMOs eventually become repetitive. I believe that’s why there is always such a strong want for a new game that does something different. Ppl want to chase that feeling they felt when they 1st stepped into and started exploring that living breathing world but even when it does happen eventually that MMO at end game reaches the same repetitive gameplay. Copy pasta mechanics in future expansions. I’m not sure how you really break that cycle though even the games like WoW that have existed 20 years haven’t really figured out how to not be repetitive. I mean I am hoping the new world will give them a fresh start and will breathe life back into the game.

Honestly, rhe best advice for new players is to make a season character and STAY on seasons. All the actually fun content can be done on season gear and the only content you need gear for is the shit that sucks (Dehkia, cron grind etc) 😂
You should announce your retirement from BDO and move to Throne and LIberty. It looks like your passion for the game took over you. BDO is a dead game. Each month less and less players stay.
To add Even Throne started getting repetitive at end game , log in do contracts, do your co ops , do your open world dungeons, maybe grind some open world mobs log out rinse repeat tomorrow. PvP for me isn’t happening our server all top guilds are aligned and dropping on every event with hundreds so no one else can even attempt it.
@@FakeUni Agree , I just been playing casually lately and enjoying myself. Due to the Zerg situation, likely only do the PvE. I Tend to Rotate games or play 2 along side each other to just break up that monotony. That way I don’t burn out and if I run outta stuff to do , there will be more when I come back. Find it’s the healthy balance tbh. Also we been having issues lately with dungeons, which it comes with the territory liky WoW players who don’t have patience. The Mythic Raiders can get toxic hence why in WoW tend to only run them with my guild. WoW is definitely a game you kinda break from since they release expansions 2 years apart only give about 9 months of content.
A fair number of people disgusses lore in bdo official discord channel, so just because you haven't heard from people that they're interested, doesn't mean PA haven't either. Literally .1% of the playerbase has 6 pen debos. One thing that I don't understand is that so many people expects to enhance Sovereign all the way to DEC. When pen blackstar awakening weapon and offhand was added I don't remember there being so much talk about that. The state of bdo is sad, my opinion on the reason why things ended up being the way they are is that the speed of progression of players outgrew the speed at which they can develop and introduce a new content (which was also slowed down even more by the upcomming release of crimson desert). They've made multiple big missteps in last 2 years, which set them back by a lot and now there's nothing to do for us, the endgame players. This would explain why there is so much old content, not updated content, dead content, because they can't go back to the old content (the thing they've been doing for the last year because we demanded that they do something about old grind spots, and lifeskilling, and other things..). They have to keep adding new things, that we also demand, that they can't develop fast enough. If you look at it from this point of view, it also explains why everything demands so many cron stones. It's to slow down the progression, create a bottleneck.. which everyone interprets as a greed because although the main intention was to slow down the progression, it is greedy, and the worst is that it doesn't even work well because for it to work well, they would have to increase the amount by a lot, which would make every quit on the spot, and they can't also lower it because higherups, investors, and... know that they can affort to keep the need for cron stones this high. As a dev myself, I genuinely feel sorry for the guys that work on this game. As most devs, they don't get enough hours to develop a content, and although they put their heart and soul into the thing they're working on, it's received poorly because it's buggy, and not what we wanted. And all that because some braindead scrum master, that haven't seen the game outside of some introduction videos, said in a meeting that it'll be 2 T-shirts instead of 3 and they'll be working on this instead of that.
One more thing. You know damn well, that Jae does not allow anyone to touch his nodewars. That's why there were no changes to it. And that's why nothing changes to that specific mode even now. But getting him and other people to agree to this changed must have been hard for the devs. And I do believe that they will adjust the old nodewars according to the feedback. In the same video they mentioned that they're sorry for taking some of their previous statements bit too lightly.

The problem with all of this changes is that it fixes NOTHING!!!! because 95-98% of the game is capped, there is no need to get this. And they are to big of "cats" to erase capped content..... sadly this fixes nothing
They developed a game that optimises gamer burn out, many of us are simply burnt out from it. That said there is so much thats beautiful about BDO too. The game really needs dungeons, and much shorter but interesting storylines.
Well they did listen to Biceps atleast in regards to the new accessories. I mean originally they where gonna do Twilight- Defense Debo grade accessories but Biceps asked for these instead which let you use old stuff to make them and yes he asked for them to go to Dec but be easier then Debo I was there in stream multiple times when he requested and talked about these and the new accessories are identical to what he asked for even them being customizable and not Down grade and blow up.
on another perspective, took me half a year + just to buy embers for my ator boots... finally got 100 pcs last night, and yep... fail after fail, just trying to get pri. burned 1000 meme frags, only to end up +0. failed duo 10x times. yeah, and my sov wep staying at 0... I quit.
Welp, I guess this is the final nail in the coffin for me and bdo, there was a list I came up with a little while ago that would keep me playing, and this literally addressed none of those issues, they are so out of touch. The main reason I played this game for nearly 7 years was how the combat felt, pvp was the biggest reason I played this game and that has been dead in the water for realistically like 3-4 years. Funny that the state of the game in 2018/2019 felt amazing compared to this steaming pile of shit

I built my gear pen and beyond standing on a rooftop in velia using nothing but login rewards. There is no reason to play the game it's a login sim xD That comment about not respecting platers real life hit hard man glad it was said, and the gameplay is like trailmix there's actually quite a lot to do but only 1 or 2 things worth doing like those rye bread chips in trailmix that usually end up picked out within the first 5 minutes of consumption xD.. and then because there's only 1 or 2 productive things you end up doing only that until you just lose interest and stand on building for 7 or 8 months before lowering login times to once a week or once every other week to see if something new is out if you don't completely lose interest...
Word, at the moment it just hurts too much to even bother anymore. I truly hope there is a future but I don't believe it for the time being... Love the content nonetheless keep it up ❤

I quit for almost 2 years now because its how you said all flat there is nothing to do i remember the first years when we had builds to try in pvp ,farm on spots was fun we had that pvp tension keeping us awake at farm spots but now grind mindless and gear is all the same no one tries acc eva dp hp its crazy how they didnt make differit builds for clases like i dont know hp build for warrior % HP+AP on skill dmg or DP build for striker % dmg from DP + AP to skills dmg and soo on to make use of the items in game

They have good ideas, but the main goal is making money, not player enjoyment. Sov and Kara(whatever) would be good idea two years ago when we still had some kind of endgame. But now? Most of us need some kind of motivation. Sure, there will be players that enjoy grind and gearing up, but I'm missig the open world part of the game. They took away the excitement and thrill of adventure while giving more gear and instanced boring pvp.

@@FakeUni Its sad that even though the content creators put a lot of effort acting as a voice for the community, just to get ignored for the last 5 years. They pick and choose what they want to hear. I personally gave up on this game when they made the open world PvP changes. Its such a pain, a combat system that is UNRIVALED, and a beautiful story, just to go to waste. Node Wars and Siege bringing hundreds of people together at times. The beauty of strategy, having a good shotcaller, and bringing all these people together. They had a solid template to start with when they had finally gotten the game from Kakao, yet they just targeted the game to be even more cash grab, when so many players thought that aspect of the game would've changed under the publishing of PA, but it just got worse. They put more effort into the pearl shop items rather then listen to the player base. One of the crazy things that they had in the game 2019/2020 was that you could make money from literally ANYTHING. Node Empire, Lifeskilling, Crafting and enhancing gear, grinding, and even QUESTING. Remember doing scrolls for more silver per hour than any of the Val or Kama spots that were out at the time? The versatility was insane. Compared to the grind spots now, these things became very obsolete even after many failed attempts of reviving these features of the game. Lifeskilling has gotten huge improvements but its mediocre at best. Love this game to death, but I'm not willing to throw away my life just to keep up. I 100% feel the same way you do. I know you always welcome feedback and thoughts in your comments section, I stopped playing years ago, yet still watch your content from time to time. I don't think PA will listen as long as they are making money, hate to say it but its the truth. Same goes for many corporations, businesses, and schemes around the world are focused on money over the benefit of the consumer. Nothing this game puts out will ever beat the release of Mediah, Valencia, or Kamasylvia. Literal golden days.

I am so burned out on the Cron Stone Grind that I have become demoralized. They refuse to add Cron Stones to the Global Loot table like they have Caphras Stones in hopes it would drive insane Pearl purchases. I wish everyone would stop buying anything in the game. I simply refuse to give them what they want, which is my money. Reverse Progression should not be a thing, expecting players to grind 30 hours a week should not be a thing. If I can not progress with 2 hours a day, then I will never progress any further in the game. My time is more valuable as I actually have a life, and to watch PA continuously up the ante and make even more Cron Stone demands is ridiculous. Because I run Blue Squadrons Alliance Guild, I cant just quit out of respect and duty to the active players, but it doesn't mean I have to spend all day in game either. If only reverse Progression was made illegal in China, we would finally get it, and gone would be the Cron Stones.
I am taking an educated guess that PA has be solely working on the game release in China, as they know the rest of the world is quitting left and right, so they are betting everything that China will save them. I do not think this will happen, as the popularity will gain the eyes of the CCP and drive new laws to be passed banning most of the predatory income mechanics PA is so reliant on with its business model. Pearl Abyss may get a year at best out of China before something changes to regulate the way games are monetized. within 12 months, there will be forced changes by the Shareholders. There is a reason Jae wasn't on camera, if I were to bet, it has something to do with Shareholders keeping him off camera and instead, sending these clowns.

I am a former Game developer from 1999-2022 that developed with Map Terraforming, Environmental Effects, Primitive /Sculpted and asset building including Low Poly-Low LOD Mesh Structure building, Animated Mesh and Flexible primitive and its physics tuning, texturing and clothing with rigging and physics, All Primitive, Texture Effects and Mesh scripting with Havok Physics Engine, Bullet Physics (Think NASA Rovers) and PhysX all the way to Triple Stack development from Front end Client side, Handshake security and cluster optimizations to Back end Routing. I have been pulling my hair out for years at how bad this game runs. It took 9 YEARS to figure out that Collisions cause Server Lag! That is Game Development 101!!!!! I could resolve Dozens of game issues every single month, while Your Management of your development teams takes years to do not even a fraction of that and I learned ALL of this on my own working on it part time through experience, not from school while I was working as an Aerospace Engineer.
Remember this one rule that will NEVER change. You NEED the Players, the players do NOT need you!! You have appeared to forgotten that. Do not try to reinvent the wheel, and start implementing what works, and you want to know what works? Listen to your players, communicate often, allow flexibility to your region offices to have a much greater range of power to run events in games as they know the players best. Use them for more than bullet sponges, let them get the data by trying events with the players bases. Work more efficiently, and For Fucks sake, stop Micromanaging them by keeping their hands tied behind their backs. We love our Region Office Teams, let them actually work!

That made me stop playing few months ago, complete guttering of any endgame pvp content that is tied to your gear and for pve once you reach past 700gs its literaly pointless to try to get more.
Even the thought of " Hey, i wanna be able to defend myself or my spot, or be strong in nodewars eventualy" kept me going and grinding and everything else required to get gear. But then its all been removed and the simple "number go up" isnt enough anymore
@@Nisenziart For PvP I think they wanted it tied to crons also. Pre-DR patch skilled, but low GS players could do well in open world duels. Now there is a greater focus on gear than before. Skill still is important, but debos make HP drop. Only reason to debo is PvP, but meaningful PvP was removed. The addition of new accessories demonstrate how the devs have no clue what they're doing.

In all seriousness, I love BDO and it is truly an open world sandbox full of stuff to do, unfortunately theyve nerfed everything that isnt grinding down to nothing so its not worth doing. Back in the days when the grinding got too much id go and Barter make easy billions just sailing the seas, that content was killed because it was making too much silver. If they revitalized the other aspects of the game i dont think players would care as much when things become mundane like now. But today, lifeskilling is dogshit silver, bartering is nerfed to the ground and cooking and alchemy are literally cooked unless youre Guru 50.
Stars end was the best expansion in BDO imo. New zone, new monsters, new AP, new accessories and new weapon. I remember watching you grind there for the first time and gearing up so i could finally do that content. Now i have to look forward to grinding under a lantern like some of stalker in a bad rom com. Weapons and AP mean nothing and next upgrade is all for what!?!? so i can be a slightly stronger creep under the street lamp. Its cooked....My favorite game i ever played has been reduced to shit. Your edits always made the content in the game feel fresh and new and i appreciate that but I do see what you mean about peoples livelihood being at stake. 10/10 video. Everything you said is completly true. After 12k hours BDO is no longer the game that i fell in love with. Yes it was always a solo grinder but it was never as unrewarding as it is now. They fucked the game up by making everything just a 100+h grind or spending thousands on crons to just do the same thing over and over and over.
Im happy that throne and liberty released so i can take a break from bdo and maybe come back when the game is rewarding me for the time i invest in it.

I set up a random number generator to pick a number from 1-100. I then roll a number from 1-1000000000. If the numbers match I'll log in. I treat it just like enhancing ingame. All the "hard" work devs do are for nothing just like my hours of grinding. I want them to progress under same rules as my mystic.
PA doesn't seem to value player trust, but unlike most companies they overall have been losing trust slowly rather than instantly. It's a testament to the great magnitudes at which people love this game. Unfortunately I think it's been 5-7 years since I've felt they've actually valued the trust of their players (when they formally apologized for renown score lmfao), or even truly thought about what that should mean to them. The extensive damage of lost trust is already done, and I don't trust them to make the changes necessary to get back in touch with the playerbase (or lost playerbase). If that's what they're attempting to do, PA truly needs massive changes in the BDO division...
The devs are delusional. They dont play their own game to test what needs to be fixed and how they can make it better.

People liking the Karazad but i think they missed on the karazad accessory so bad. The crystals and slots for Karazad should not have been acquired through old yellow pen accessories(aka more grinding) but instead crafted items from all life skills. You could of revived another dead part of the game and give it a reason to do. They are so one dimensional for selling cron stones that it has fried their brain cells responsible for creativity.
I've said it on my stream, but I was fairly disappointed by this video. Not because of the new progression which might be good, but because they just gave away the farm and now we're getting blue grade accessories, not only skipping reds, but they are only going to serve as a low/mid game item to ease deboreka accessory grinding. The cap isn't very high, and the brackets are insignificant.
It's not necessarily PA's failure to give content to endgame players, but honestly that early and midgame players will feel "empty" gains because they won't even REMEMBER passing 269ap, because they logged in, got a free PEN blackstar, and every gain they get beyond that will be less significant than the last one. There used to be an "achievement push" up to 269, where hard work actually had high ROI for power-pushing - which helped balance open world pvp, made grindspots truly exclusive, and made gear > class > crystals when it came to pve OR pvp - all inclusive.
This meta seems gone, and I fear it'll cause people to have less enjoyment pushing ap brackets (particularly early game players pushing to ~300ap or so - because what reward is there? a 1% increase after 2 weeks of grinding?

I left the game over a year ago because of debos and looking at all this new content blows my mind, they are "fixing" the debo grind by making people grind or buy tet debos just to convert them into "easier" to enhance "debos"............. Also sovereign weapons, what the fuck are they on about talking about them being easy to get like WHAT?? Back when Godr was released I had converted all my blackstars into godr for those little ap gains but never enhanced a blackstar on the side to pen or my godrs to pen. Then they come out with sovereign and say "they are easy to get" as if having two pen blackstars isn't a huge task or 4 in total if you make both main and awakening, and the cron cost fuck me they are braindead. This game continues to surprise me with how much shittier it becomes with each big update. Not to mention all the old content they seem to have forgotten about like you mentioned altar of blood, the dungeon still doesn't have it's 4th part, the node war changes are laughable, do people actually do rbf anymore? This game has literally lost it's identity. A game that 4-5 years ago I couldn't stop playing because I genuinely loved it, has now just become a title that I shelved to collect dust for at this point what feels like will be eternity.

Tbh I feel like this is the cycle of all MMOs running circles, Your either running them in Dungeons or Running them in Mobs. WoW and FF14 for example same copy pasta of same dungeons over & over again just in a different location different scenery and different looks for the monsters. Same repetitive mechanics though end game same 5-6 dungeons you did on normal just on harder difficulty. All MMOs eventually become repetitive. I believe that’s why there is always such a strong want for a new game that does something different. Ppl want to chase that feeling they felt when they 1st stepped into and started exploring that living breathing world but even when it does happen eventually that MMO at end game reaches the same repetitive gameplay. Copy pasta mechanics in future expansions. I’m not sure how you really break that cycle though even the games like WoW that have existed 20 years haven’t really figured out how to not be repetitive. I mean I am hoping the new world will give them a fresh start and will breathe life back into the game.

Honestly, rhe best advice for new players is to make a season character and STAY on seasons. All the actually fun content can be done on season gear and the only content you need gear for is the shit that sucks (Dehkia, cron grind etc) 😂

To add Even Throne started getting repetitive at end game , log in do contracts, do your co ops , do your open world dungeons, maybe grind some open world mobs log out rinse repeat tomorrow. PvP for me isn’t happening our server all top guilds are aligned and dropping on every event with hundreds so no one else can even attempt it.

@@FakeUni Agree , I just been playing casually lately and enjoying myself. Due to the Zerg situation, likely only do the PvE. I Tend to Rotate games or play 2 along side each other to just break up that monotony. That way I don’t burn out and if I run outta stuff to do , there will be more when I come back. Find it’s the healthy balance tbh. Also we been having issues lately with dungeons, which it comes with the territory liky WoW players who don’t have patience. The Mythic Raiders can get toxic hence why in WoW tend to only run them with my guild. WoW is definitely a game you kinda break from since they release expansions 2 years apart only give about 9 months of content.
A fair number of people disgusses lore in bdo official discord channel, so just because you haven't heard from people that they're interested, doesn't mean PA haven't either.

One thing that I don't understand is that so many people expects to enhance Sovereign all the way to DEC. When pen blackstar awakening weapon and offhand was added I don't remember there being so much talk about that.
The state of bdo is sad, my opinion on the reason why things ended up being the way they are is that the speed of progression of players outgrew the speed at which they can develop and introduce a new content (which was also slowed down even more by the upcomming release of crimson desert). They've made multiple big missteps in last 2 years, which set them back by a lot and now there's nothing to do for us, the endgame players.
This would explain why there is so much old content, not updated content, dead content, because they can't go back to the old content (the thing they've been doing for the last year because we demanded that they do something about old grind spots, and lifeskilling, and other things..). They have to keep adding new things, that we also demand, that they can't develop fast enough. If you look at it from this point of view, it also explains why everything demands so many cron stones. It's to slow down the progression, create a bottleneck.. which everyone interprets as a greed because although the main intention was to slow down the progression, it is greedy, and the worst is that it doesn't even work well because for it to work well, they would have to increase the amount by a lot, which would make every quit on the spot, and they can't also lower it because higherups, investors, and... know that they can affort to keep the need for cron stones this high.
As a dev myself, I genuinely feel sorry for the guys that work on this game. As most devs, they don't get enough hours to develop a content, and although they put their heart and soul into the thing they're working on, it's received poorly because it's buggy, and not what we wanted. And all that because some braindead scrum master, that haven't seen the game outside of some introduction videos, said in a meeting that it'll be 2 T-shirts instead of 3 and they'll be working on this instead of that.
One more thing. You know damn well, that Jae does not allow anyone to touch his nodewars. That's why there were no changes to it. And that's why nothing changes to that specific mode even now. But getting him and other people to agree to this changed must have been hard for the devs. And I do believe that they will adjust the old nodewars according to the feedback. In the same video they mentioned that they're sorry for taking some of their previous statements bit too lightly.

They developed a game that optimises gamer burn out, many of us are simply burnt out from it. That said there is so much thats beautiful about BDO too. The game really needs dungeons, and much shorter but interesting storylines.

Well they did listen to Biceps atleast in regards to the new accessories. I mean originally they where gonna do Twilight- Defense Debo grade accessories but Biceps asked for these instead which let you use old stuff to make them and yes he asked for them to go to Dec but be easier then Debo I was there in stream multiple times when he requested and talked about these and the new accessories are identical to what he asked for even them being customizable and not Down grade and blow up.
Oh wow. New accessories to do nothing with. How exciting.
on another perspective, took me half a year + just to buy embers for my ator boots... finally got 100 pcs last night, and yep... fail after fail, just trying to get pri. burned 1000 meme frags, only to end up +0. failed duo 10x times. yeah, and my sov wep staying at 0... I quit.
Welp, I guess this is the final nail in the coffin for me and bdo, there was a list I came up with a little while ago that would keep me playing, and this literally addressed none of those issues, they are so out of touch. The main reason I played this game for nearly 7 years was how the combat felt, pvp was the biggest reason I played this game and that has been dead in the water for realistically like 3-4 years. Funny that the state of the game in 2018/2019 felt amazing compared to this steaming pile of shit

I built my gear pen and beyond standing on a rooftop in velia using nothing but login rewards. There is no reason to play the game it's a login sim xD
That comment about not respecting platers real life hit hard man glad it was said, and the gameplay is like trailmix there's actually quite a lot to do but only 1 or 2 things worth doing like those rye bread chips in trailmix that usually end up picked out within the first 5 minutes of consumption xD.. and then because there's only 1 or 2 productive things you end up doing only that until you just lose interest and stand on building for 7 or 8 months before lowering login times to once a week or once every other week to see if something new is out if you don't completely lose interest...
Word, at the moment it just hurts too much to even bother anymore.
I truly hope there is a future but I don't believe it for the time being...

I quit for almost 2 years now because its how you said all flat there is nothing to do i remember the first years when we had builds to try in pvp ,farm on spots was fun we had that pvp tension keeping us awake at farm spots but now grind mindless and gear is all the same no one tries acc eva dp hp its crazy how they didnt make differit builds for clases like i dont know hp build for warrior % HP+AP on skill dmg or DP build for striker % dmg from DP + AP to skills dmg and soo on to make use of the items in game

Sov and Kara(whatever) would be good idea two years ago when we still had some kind of endgame. But now? Most of us need some kind of motivation. Sure, there will be players that enjoy grind and gearing up, but I'm missig the open world part of the game. They took away the excitement and thrill of adventure while giving more gear and instanced boring pvp.

@@FakeUni Its sad that even though the content creators put a lot of effort acting as a voice for the community, just to get ignored for the last 5 years. They pick and choose what they want to hear. I personally gave up on this game when they made the open world PvP changes. Its such a pain, a combat system that is UNRIVALED, and a beautiful story, just to go to waste. Node Wars and Siege bringing hundreds of people together at times. The beauty of strategy, having a good shotcaller, and bringing all these people together. They had a solid template to start with when they had finally gotten the game from Kakao, yet they just targeted the game to be even more cash grab, when so many players thought that aspect of the game would've changed under the publishing of PA, but it just got worse. They put more effort into the pearl shop items rather then listen to the player base. One of the crazy things that they had in the game 2019/2020 was that you could make money from literally ANYTHING. Node Empire, Lifeskilling, Crafting and enhancing gear, grinding, and even QUESTING. Remember doing scrolls for more silver per hour than any of the Val or Kama spots that were out at the time? The versatility was insane. Compared to the grind spots now, these things became very obsolete even after many failed attempts of reviving these features of the game. Lifeskilling has gotten huge improvements but its mediocre at best. Love this game to death, but I'm not willing to throw away my life just to keep up. I 100% feel the same way you do. I know you always welcome feedback and thoughts in your comments section, I stopped playing years ago, yet still watch your content from time to time. I don't think PA will listen as long as they are making money, hate to say it but its the truth. Same goes for many corporations, businesses, and schemes around the world are focused on money over the benefit of the consumer. Nothing this game puts out will ever beat the release of Mediah, Valencia, or Kamasylvia. Literal golden days.
