Living on the streets alone is the worst. People usually aren’t nice to strays so if They act that way is because their extremely scared and doesn’t show their true self. Most animals want to be rescued so you have to give them time. Thank you for taking the time and saving this sweet angel!!! ❤️👍🥰

@Smileyrie.yeppoon I was attacked on the street by a dog when I was young so was a lot of people that I know. personally I don't hate dogs, I know most of them aren't violent by nature but I just don't want to interact with stray ones. that's why I adopted a cat, which unfortunately ran away. since then I interacted with some family dogs and still whenever I see them my heart beat goes faster and I feel the adrenaline pumping but I still don't move.

Wow, excellent instincts and gentle methods employed by this rescuer. Great job. I hope this sweet girl is happy, and that they got her cherry eyes fixed. It's important to note that "biters" in shelter environments and especially in the heat of the moment of a traumatic rescue, like law enforcement seizing them from a hoarder, or from a home where owner died, etc, is very often NOT the true nature of the dog. This is why fostering is SO VERY IMPORTANT. God bless shelters but the environment is so chaotic and loud it can terrify an already distraught, bereft dog. There is such a thing as a TEMPORARY biter. My dog reportedly tried to bite the Animal Control officer who seized him from his crate where he'd been abandoned, but in the 6 yrs since, he's never so much as snapped at a single person for any reason. Many rescues are deemed "biters" when they actually aren't, once they're feeling safe in a normal household routine again.

Back in the day, when I worked for a small animal vet, we called these dogs "fear biters" as you never knew what was going to set them off.

  • @silentgamer4368

My family had a dog like this before. It was actually kind of funny because she had been terrorizing random people where my dad worked and one day she jumped him...with kisses.
So we brought her home, gave her a bath, fed her, all that jazz but we didn't intend to keep her. We had two dogs already and she was pretty terrifying and bite-y to everyone but my dad so we gave her up to a shelter.
A few days later my mom went to the same shelter and adopted her. The employees were scared of her and thought my mom was nuts adopting that terror.
It took awhile but we realized she was more bark than bite and worked on her small biting issue. After that she would just intimidate any visitor until she got used to them.
She'd actually make her snarling devil face on command too lol
Wound up she was actually a gentle grump. I could let her chew on my hand and she'd immediately stop if I said 'Ow' or anything.
I miss her grouchy smartass face.

I love that her new owner didn’t want her in the crate! Never keep dogs in crates ):

    • @alycewich4472
      @alycewich4472 3 роки тому +1

In my home, crates are safe places for my dogs where they can go and be left alone. The crates are also used when I have visitors to allow my dogs time to see that the visitors are friendly. Both of my Chihuahua mixes were unsocialized by the time I got them at ages 1 and 3 and might snap/bite. I do this for the safety of everyone involved. With time and patience, they will now accept newcomers into my home when we do the proper protocol. However, all bets are off if my visitor is afraid of dogs or I think the visitor will overstimulate them. In that case, they stay crated.

Everyone thinks Fosters and rescues have unlimited funds. Fixing her cherry eye should be on the owner. Rescues are always in need of funds. Instead of asking why they didn't fix the cherry eye why don't you send money to a local rescue??? This little girl was saved and that is what you should all be happy about.

This is something that I've always questioned......so a foster family takes in a dog, dog gets comfortable and starts to trust, and then is given to someone else to start over. I know it's for the best and every dog goes to somewhere just as loving and safe but I have to wonder what goes through the dogs head when that happens.

It's videos like these that make me think. I think about all of the supposed "aggressive" dogs that "bite" that have lost their lives. It pisses me off to the core, these animals are petrified and are aggressive out of fear. Not to mention the sick and disgusting things these animals have gone through at the hands of some nasty human. These dogs have been abused, neglected and then we euthanize because they are "aggressive" Ummm wouldn't you be?
I can't wrap my head around the bulls$*! Logic in this?? Thankfully, there are still some awesome humans in this world that are here to save the day and pick up the many pieces these dogs are now in. Dogs can be rehabilitated at the end of the day, it takes time, patience, love and the building of trust to do so. They have been through enough. We owe it to the many dogs that have been euthanized due to supposed "aggression"
Humans, stop causing unnecessary dog deaths because you want to abuse/neglect them!!!!! Stop this nasty, vicious circle caused by humans. We give humans many chances and these poor voiceless, defenceless dogs deserve the same. They are put to death by no fault of their own!!! Sorry for the long post but this topic gets me heated!!!😈😤🔥🔥🔥🔥

Except thst learning that biting humans is "acceptable" actually isn't healthy for any dog (except K-9's in training). Better to let a pet dog gradually decompress and learn to trust you, and not cross boundaries.
