- This dog was so scared and only let two people near him! Tank was dropped off at the shelter and had a hard time after his rough past, but volunteers Paige and Presley brought out the other side of him where he is super affectionate and just a wonderful dog.

I adopted a pit that looks exactly like him a little over a year ago. I paid 80 dollars to adopt him. Turns out he's allergic to every protein on the planet and has bad skin allergies too. Between the special food, allergy shots, and my own room at the vet, I'm into him for thousands of dollars. I wouldn't trade him for any other dog in the world.

My dog also has allergies but his includes beef, chicken, any type of rice and potatoes (which I believe were causing the biggest problem) so he has grain free salmon/trout/fish protien food and looks so much better for it..... But yes I learned to check even my cat food ingredients.... Just to make sure he isn't getting any grain... I've been feeding him Acana, the fish protein one, and he loves it but his loss of fur is gone.... Glad your furbaby is doing better...

@ferchizzle I have to give him Purina Pro Plan Veteranary Diets Hydrolyzed Vegetarian food. I get it from Chewey with a prescription. It's $130.00 for 25lb bag. He's 90lbs, so it cost a pretty penny to feed him. It's the only thing he can eat. He is literally allergic to everything.

Tank looks a lot like an American Bulldog. They can be such amazing companions and watch dogs. My friend has one and I'm a little jealous.☺Sure hope he gets an owner who loves him.

No, I've never had a pet with a food allergy ... but one of my cats is getting old (she'll be 21 in a few months), and her tummy is becoming very sensitive. So she gets a special diet and some supplements.

This is a very good example of why you should never judge a dog in their kennel. Take them out and see how they are it might be different. Give them a chance.

I already have one of these beautiful babies from South Carolina helping Boz rescue, he is a stud, and his name is buddy. He has been here for years. He helped us with the loss of our last rescue named Lynyrd Skynyrd song breeze, I would take that young man tomorrow, but my dog doesn’t like other dogs since when, he got here a week after he was attacked by American bulldog he did pretty well but he hates dogs now he came here in full dogs from South Carolina. It’s just the way things go. I hope somebody sees your video and adopts that beautiful boy it has made a huge difference in my life as every dog has!

I feel like the nice girl just needs to realize that he feels like he's her dog already. I understand that volunteers don't want to take one because they try to help all of them but maybe this would be a good thing... either way, you should be very proud of yourselves for helping all these animals.I hope Tank will soon him a home. Poor sweet boy. I think any family that chooses him would be blessed to have him. Though I must say, I think people are being far too quick to demonize Tank's former owners. It sounds like their other two dogs were bullying him and they didn't know how to stop it. They may have surrendered him more from concern that the other dogs would seriously hurt him than just not caring.
