Welcome bacy to the Foxhole🦊🤘🔥 They were rocking out the whole World Tour 2023/2024 and everyone were having a blast with the setlist, the new songs from latest album and the classic hits, especially GC! either some fans hate or love it, it's a song with crazy amount of views and they don't wanna leave behind in any of their setlist just like they did this month at the Asian Tour. Dance choreography and metal had never been seen before and they somehow managed to make it works creating their unique own genre called kawaii-metal, mixing Jpop and heavy metal along with many more sub genres and rhythms, you'll have so much fun going through this journey. This isn't actually live sound, is studio album version over a live performance which was partially live only on the vocals and choreography with backing track sound. They have their own band called Kami Band introduced later on that same show and after that Kami Band become regular at live performance but they're not official members, only these trio are the front women. This was in December 2013 at SuMetal 16th Birthday, the other girls had 14 yo and there was a big party you have seen nothing yet, wait for _"Babymetal Death"._ The backing band here are called "baby-bones", they don't actually play they're just mimicking air playing instrument, later on this same concert and after 2014 you'll see the girls performing with a real band called the Kami Band, more of them later. Next suggestions: - _"Road Of Resistance"_ live in Japan official. - _Megitsune_ official MV. - _Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!_ live at this same live performance Legend 1997 in Makuhari Messe Japan when SuMetal is celebrating her birthday becoming a metal goddess queen and leaving her idol jpop form (you can find one at Gans Tomas channel under "Head Bangya" title). See you next time! 🦊🤘🍫
Only two members in this video were in Ratatata's video, which are Su-Metal and Moametal. In Ratatata the third members is Momometal, however in this video it would have been Yuimetal. Yuimetal left the band in 2018 due to undisclosed health issues. They continued as a duo for the years to come though would switch some things up, in 2019 I believe, they brought in the Avengers (3 women who would perform the choreography but would not be mic'd up). Then last year, Momo, who was one of the Avengers, was announced to be the new official third member, taking Yui's spot. Jakemuller has already answered about their age for this concert but to give you some more info; Su-Metal was born on Dec 20, 1997, Moametal on July 4, 1999, Yuimetal on June 20, 1999 and Momometal was born on March 3, 2003. It can be hard to differentiate between Moa and Yui however, Su-metal I believe generally always has a ponytail, vs Moa and Yui (And now Momo) who sport pigtails. For Moa though, you'll want to look for dimples, while Yui has chubby cheeks. While I would never have suggested this to begin a dive in Babymetal's own stuff, glad you liked it because a lot of people tended to hear this and turn off pretty quickly and miss out on a great band. So much so that at the start of their career, many believed that they were nothing but a gimmick band, nowadays, they have proven they were, in no shape, a gimmick. Next I would follow up with one of Jakemuller's suggestions, as typically I would recommend any one of those to really begin Babymetal. Although if you want to play off how this video ends with "See you in the mosh'sh pit" I would highly recommend doing Road of Resistance Live in Japan. Oh, also the guitars for RoR were arranged by Herman Li and Sam Totman from Dragonforce.
Thanks for the reaction! Babymetal formed in around 2010 as the "Heavy Music Club" in the school themed Japanese idol group Sakura Gakuin. This concert was Su-Metal's (lead singer) 16th birthday, it is metal theater from start to finish and is so worth watching the whole of it, it's fantastic all the way through. The performance that hooked me on them a few years ago is "Road of Resistance - Live in Japan" from their official site.
👍 BABYMETAL is timeless. Joy/Happiness never goes out of style. This song rocks even harder with the Kami band. Great reaction. 🦊 🖖 ❤ Babymetal - Monochrome (PIA Arena 2023 Live) Eng Subs
The other day you glimpsed an unknown and welcoming land, today you're coming ashore. Continue your exploration, you have a continent to discover. From surprise to wonder, you'll never leave BABYMETAL again.✨🦊
Nice reaction! Give Me Chocolate is probably BABYMETAL's most famous song. BABYMETAL fuses completely different genres into heavy metal with each song, and I think you will enjoy every song!🦊🍫 Basically, it is a fusion of J-Pop and heavy metal!💖
Awesome, great to see you back with more Babymetal! This show was Dec 2013, lead Su-metal’s 16th bday show. Yui and Moa were 14 at that time. Babymetal is best live. That is their natural habitat. More suggestions: *Road of Resistance (Official Live):* Something more “metal”, and 10x more epic. *Rondo of Nightmare (Budokan 2014):* For the heavy and dark. *Catch Me If You Can (Budokan 2014):* Slipknot, but heavier, and cute. *iine (Official MV):* Early Babymetal, an “Electric Callboy” feel, and multiple “WTF” moments. *Kagerou (Legend MM 2024):* Grown up, and more mature feel, with attitude. *Monochrome (Pia Arena MM 2023):* Heartfelt, melodic, and as always, an amazing performance. Look forward to more Babymetal! 🤘🦊
My comment keeps disappearing, I will see if this sticks then post a reply if it does. It looks like that doesn't work either. Anyway - Welcome back, great reaction and yes, unique, original, adorable - all accurate words to describe BABYMETAL. There is no other band quite like them.
@@jmtjpeg That's something, but I was trying to answer your questions and provide a little more info - looks like UA-cam doesn't want me to do that so hopefully someone else will be able to do it (Jake Muller has covered most of the important stuff).
Their music - metal. Their choreography - pop/idol. The armor part of their costumes - metal. And the tutu part - pop/idol. Their singing voice - pop/idol but can cut through heavy metal music. That's why they are so unique. People who see their performances for the first time often wonder why pop and metal work together so well. Thanks for your great reaction.
Thank you for reacting to BM again! If you think they're young here, you need to watch the Doki Doki Morning which was their very first music video. Other earlier videos I would recommend are Iine (spelled with two 'i's and pronounced "eee'nay"), Headbanger, Megitsune. Thanks for reacting to my favorite band of all time!
Many members of The One will say that this song isn't among BABYMETAL's best - I beg to differ. Although BABYMETAL does have many songs that are better, this song defines what BABYMETAL is: heavy metal pleasantly mixed with J-pop without missing a beat - kawaii metal at its best, and one of the best videos of the "Yui Era". Su-metal (the lead singer) had just turned sixteen the day before the performance of this concert (sort of a birthday party with over 8,000 guests); Moametal and Yuimetal were both fifteen. This video was filmed on December 21, 2013 being part of the "Legend 1997 Apocalypse" concert ( ua-cam.com/play/PLdBAj9hZ91wCao72oSqTMLrGpIDOqzR2Q.html ) at the Makuhari Messe convention center in Chiba, Japan just outside of Tokyo. For more great BABYMETAL content, see the UA-cam playlist “BABYMETAL Top Twenty” ( ua-cam.com/play/PLdhz2aj0pt4zPl0BZLevPUR9uHKQA27uj.html ). I also suggest that you peruse my comment on your "Ratatata" reaction video for a bit more BABYMETAL background. 😁 Keep rockin’ BABYMETAL!!! KITSUNE UP!!! 🤘🦊🤘
It looks like you watched the video on the earMusic channel where it only has around 600k views. Just so you know, they have the same video on their official channel where it has almost 200 million views.
This is the one that went viral for them, but it's not necessarily indicative of the rest of their music. It's like their starting point, but they experiment *a lot* beyond what you see here.

Listening BABYMETAL is like:
1st time: "Wait! What?.."
2nd time: "I dunno. I have to listen one more time"

I listen deathmetal from the 90s and this band change my mind. My favourite is megitsune video.

I love the Japanese metal, but I’m not always keen on the cutesy voices, I like a bit more depth in a vocalist, but I enjoyed this one
