Watching this, and for a moment it's almost like a comedy sketch, but also not planned at all. Amazing how the crowd and announcers really brought it to life !

People ca say what they will about cheerleaders being "ditzy." This showed a great bit of thinking of and executing a plan. Couple that with some serious balance and strength from the guy holding and lifting the girl. Nicely done!!

Save The Cheer Leader! Save the World! (Remember that?).
Yeah. Most practical use of that lift I've ever seen.
This lift is a fairly common one for Cheer Leaders - but - it obviously takes some very real skill to pull it off. They practice it so much though that it is relatively safe. Those two cheer leaders have done this hundreds of times.
