So this is Brendan O'Brien! Nice to actually see him for once!
Best rock producer of all time.
Brendan is an awesome guitarist in his own right.
Rock or Bust is a very very great album
Cool, I never knew he produced a few albums for AC⚡DC my favorite group of all time. 👊😎⚡
Their best album since the Razors Edge
By far their worst album to date (probably alongside some of their early stuff, when they were still honing their skills).

ac/dc needs one last album that will top back in black - these guys are rock Gods they cant retire with a whimper - they have to go out with a BANG! and a CRASH! and an EXPLOSION! Their last album has to last people a long damn time.
Black Ice & Rock Or Bust sound AMAZING. his respect and worship of the band is great, and what is required from a producer for a band like this; you can't have some nut-job comin in and tryin tell them how to do it. that said, he tries, with Black Ice especially, to innovate too much. why bring them "back to their roots"? IT'S AC/DC! THEY'VE ALWAYS BEEN WITH THEIR ROOTS. to Hey! It's Me!'s comment below, Goerge Young & Harry Vanda are the best producers of all time, hands down
BREAKING NEWS! ... ACDC to record non ACDC written song "AUSSIE GIRLS " written by Australian songwriter Gary Shaw!
Doubt it
Its a good album but his production sucks. Cymbals overpower everything and its horribly brickwalled.
Mike utubesux -Yeah and that’s why he’s producing and you’re watching. LOL
His STP albums were brilliant, don’t shittalk
@@bamabjcam Nice insult. I guess that means you can't be critical of anything either. Justin Bieber is creating music and you're just commenting. Stupidest cliched retort of all, well done.
@@CasinoConsti Good thing I wasn't talking about his STP albums, then.
He is such a terrible producer for AC/DC. For some strange reason he seems obsessed with giving them a poppy, radio-friendly sound.. and this interview only confirms it. "Rock the Blues away" doesn´t sound like AC/DC at all 1:02 .. more like Bruce Springsteen or something.
I´m actually shocked that they worked with him again for "Power Up". Black Ice and ROB are two of their worst albums, and certainly the two worst of the Brian Johnson era.
I hate this poppy producer. That shitie mawkish songs like rock the blues away and anything goes sucks Rick Rubin is so much better for AC/DC
@@matiasarce Agreed. Big Gun is a classic, and Ballbreaker is one of their very best albums!
Can you blame him for the accual songs? He may have had some input into parts but those songs were done before they came in. Production wise I think they're great. Big fat heavy sound. Would ya rather have the last 3 sound like blow up your video like it was done in a basement?
@@drewjeers815 No, but his "input into parts" is the problem.
He encouraged Rian Johnson to croon, and all the "ooohs" and "ahahaas" undoubtedly bear his influence.
Plus, they have never recorded pop songs like Rock The Blues Away and Through The Mists Of Time before.
With a different producer, and a dirtier, grittier sound they may actually have been proper ACDC songs. But not like this.
@@drewjeers815 And yes, I'd rather take Blow Up Your Video any day of the week.
Plus, albums like Ballbreaker, Razor's Edge or Stiff Upper Lip sounded great. Not to mention that the "fat heavy sound" may have more to do with Mike Fraser than O'Brien.
