Connor looks human, and it's unsettling for Hank, when he "dies" and come back. And DOUBLE NICE! for those QTE with the chasing!

It upsets him even more because he lost his son. And even before and after that, he probably lost fellow cops and detectives on the job over his years on the Force. Inner-city police work is dangerous, even outside of an epic sci-fi setting. But unfortunately for them, they are all human beings, *and cannot come back.* It's easy to get really demoralized and frustrated after seeing Connor come back and act like nothing happened--when he probably wishes that his fellow humans had that same opportunity even one time.

Connor going through with the option of saving Hank over capturing Rupert should have been a MASSIVE deal.
But it was practically shrugged off. Even with the high percentage of Hank surviving, *Connor chose to save him.*
A "Thank you" would have been the least Hank could do. T_T But, I guess their relationship did progress to Warm.
