I respect how you don’t try to come off as perfect and acknowledge your dissatisfaction and show the rest of us how we can improve a “mistake” instead of abandoning a project.
A lovely person brought me my Nightfall coloring book, a few other supplies and gifted me the 72 set of the chromoflows. It was a get well gift. She knew that I didn't have them yet and they came in a cute box. I have been going a bit stir crazy and I think that being able to color while I am in the hospital is going to save my sanity. I love these pencils. The really unusual color selection and the velvet like laydown are a dream on the page. This set has a nice balance of pale, deep and intense colors. Derwent also has some color magic that they do. They is a real to nature, even on their bright colors. I don't know how they do it. You have made a very beautiful apple and bird. I wanted to see you use your pencils before I gave them try .I always learn from your work. Thanks Karen.
What I appreciate the most is your eye for the extraordinary. It's never just an ordinary apple, kitty or frog. The extras such as a hat w/ lace, a table, or a background full of bubbles takes it all to the next level. Thank you!
I’m glad you used the Chromaflow pencils on your picture. I’ve been on the fence about these pencils but I think I’ll get them soon. And by the way, you did pronounce Pompeian red correctly.
Hi Karen 💖I love Rita Berman! So, I am really happy you are working in one of her books…I will hush now so I can sit back and watch you apply your magical touch…lol 💖💖
Karen 💖 This apple is ridiculously amazing! It’s stunning actually! When you had the first color down, I showed it to Joe…Then just now I showed him again and he said, dang that’s good, it’s like a mirror! He isn’t easily impressed but he loves your work…lol just like I do☺️ This picture isn’t spectacular in itself but with your stunning apple it has become spectacular…Thank you so much Karen, very inspiring! 💖💖💖
Keni 💖 Thank you and Joe so much! It is all do to the layers of color under the red... lol wasn't sure it would turn out for a bit, I almost scrapped the page all together ... but it did turn out in the end. Take care Big hugs 💖💖💖
@@ZucchiniKitty Karen 💖 I will tell Joe you said…Thank you! You’re so welcome! You know what you’re doing when it comes to coloring and other art works so I had no fear it would turn out the way it did! I am so happy you didn’t scrap this page…lol. Take care! Big hugs! 💖💖💖
Hi Karen, I love your work. But I have a question. Which pencils do you recommend to start colouring? The Futburners or the Castle Art oil pencils or the Kalour? Thanks in advance for your comment.
Thank you, sorry it has taken me some time to get back to you, any of the three you have mentioned would be a good starter pencil, out of them I like the Brutfuners and Kalours
Thank you, this is the one I use: www.amazon.com/AFMAT-Electric-Pencil-Sharpener-Pencil-Sharpener-Colored-Pencils-Electric-Pencil-Sharpener-Plug/dp/B08FT1BT1V?ref_=ast_sto_dp&th=1
Hi Karen. Love your work - absolutely beautiful! Can you tell me which pencil set you would recommend for coloring on Bible type paper? Thank you so much😊
Hi Debra, you can use all types of coloring pencils I myself color in the Bible pages too. Don’t use alcohol on the Bible pages they will bleed through. They do sell markers, and pens for the Bible pages. Have a Bless Day!
Are those pencils wax or oil? I had not colored with Prismas in a long time. Pulled them put today and to be honest did not enjoy coloring with them at all. Smudgy and you need a ton of layers to get anything done but some people do amazing thing with them……Also when I sharpened one in my GOOD sharpener, the end of the pencil broke…..
Derwent site says: Chromaflow are a waxed-based pencil and work best on a smoother paper such as a cartridge paper or Bristol paper with a very slight surface. Avoid using a super smooth surface though as the wax in the pencil will create lumps on the surface which will cause uneven blending later on.
It just takes time and practice. If you want to learn how, simply find a few images you don’t care about and use those to practice with. That or simply take a piece of paper, draw simple designs (doesn’t need to be perfect since it’s just for practice) on it and use that to practice. Only if you want…
I am sorry which eraser? I think I used two so I will link both: www.amazon.com/Electric-AFMAT-Rechargeable-Sketching-Graphite/dp/B07NWPRQNM?th=1 This is the same as the one I have with out the plastic case that holds it... : www.amazon.com/Sakura-50259-EraserB60-Premium-Eraser/dp/B06XTT325F/ref=dp_prsubs_3?pd_rd_i=B06XTT325F&psc=1

Simply beautiful.
Just love this channel! Always good content!!
Much appreciated!
That funny red to pronounce just remember - Pom pay en - and you will have it down perfectly 👌😊
I really enjoyed these pencils. Hope to see you do more with them. 😊
Beautiful colouring
Absolutely stunning 😊💕
Those are really pretty reds!
Absolutely gorgeous!
I’m fascinated with your color charts.
Karen I do like the Faber Castell Pitt brush pen for the highlight. It looks subtle but it makes a huge difference .🌸🌸🌸
It did add a nice transparent shine, pretty cool

You work magic with pencils. I loved watching this page come to life. What is your overall opinion on these pencils?
Thank you. Pablos are not as creamy as Prismas and not as easy to layer as Poly's, they do have a color range that is unique
@@ZucchiniKitty Weren't these Derwent Chromaflow pencils though? I'm sorry. I'm confused. 🤔

Where did you get your swatch book? I like how the pages fold out!
The book is from Ruby Charm Colors on Etsy, but I made the fold out pages myself... with washi tape...
Lovely work as usual. That’s a cool eraser you have. Would you share the name/where to buy? TY

@@ZucchiniKitty thank you. Sorry I must have missed one in the video. It was the second one (block). Appreciate your speedy reply! Take care
Are these pencils thinner than other derwent pencils.
They are thinner than the Inktense, more like the same as prisma size but lighter...
@@ZucchiniKitty thank you for your prompt reply. 😀😀😀
