  • Can John Deere learn a few tricks from Legos in regards to instruction manuals? While John Deere's manuals aren't bad, Legos are much better. Odd comparison, probably yes, but why not have them in color, Auxilliary Hydraulics does.

You make a good point. The manual for my 430 has nothing but grainy black and white pictures that I don't particularly feel would help much when everything under the body panels is black.
I also remember from those Lego assembly instructions that those would highlight the pieces installed in that step different from the ones assembled in the previous steps.

Yeah, I don't think Deere instructions are really bad, but after doing the Legos thing, I was like wow, that was actually enjoyable. Both are good companies, but even Ron Ellis with his comparatively small operation does color photos. And even if most of the stuff is black and white anyways, you can often see a contrast on something that resembles your target project. Thanks for watching.

I definitely see what you’re saying especially when your trying to repair something using those repair manuals. Wouldn’t take much to make them just a little better.

Right, color would be a good step. Like I said, what's the difference in that kit's price, $660 to $662?🤷‍♂ Thanks for watching Chris.

Loved the video, and the Lego Model! I am going to have to ask for that for next Christmas. I agree with you point you are trying to make about the instructions, Simplicity instructions are not much better than the Deere manuals, which means they could improve like you said. Thanks for the video!

Yeah I know the cost cutting bean counters have to do their job, but really, could we at least have color? Especially when Ron Ellis, a super small outfit in Florida can produce color instructions, why can't Deere and Simplicity? I know both companies are good companies and the instructions aren't terrible, but could be better. As always, thanks for watching buddy.

Yeah, thanks man. I would also check with Luke's John Deere Garage and Thomas Fouraker. They are regulars that comment on my videos and also live in Savannah (Luke) and Bryceville, FL (Thomas). They, probably more often than me have tractors for sale that may meet your needs.

That was me that told you to check with Don (FloridaDeere.) Get his 322. You can't go wrong!

@@LukesJohnDeereGarage Gabe, if you want the 322, I still have to get the alternator looked at and change the seals on the charge pump. Parts are ordered.

Do you have good riding mower for sale?? 345 or a GT235 or something similar??🙏

I just sold a GT245, but if he changes his mind, I'll let you know. I did/will have a 322 for sale with a 50" deck, but I need to change the seal and gasket out on the charge pump. It started leaking the day a guy came to buy it. He passed on it, so I'm gonna do the work when I get a chance and try to sell it again. Thanks for watching.
