- You asked for it, I know it took 2 more years to upload a video of the completed swap, got about 25k miles on the swap by now, here’s a brief walk around of the 2000 ranger diesel, more information can be found in my build thread at 4btswaps.com

On the road again ...just after a defrost
Can you do a video on the motor mounts I’m in the middle of swapping one of these in my Nissan d21 and I’m trying to figure out a go way of going about that, I dig your build man
Thanks! All I did in the engine mounts was take cardboard templates and see what bolt holes I could capture on the engine block and then replicate that in steel to reach the factory ford rubber mounts
Did you have any problems with the oil pan, any clearance issues?
The oil pan I had to make myself. And I made it to maximize clearance around the front differential. The engine is also sitting an inch or 2 to the right of center for additional clearance between the oil pan and front differential.
I've got a '81 chevy luv with basically the same engine but I'm pretty impressed with your build including turbo. I'm getting up to 35 mpg in mine. Curious what yours is since you got the turbo?
If I’m heavy on the throttle I can get it as low as 24mpg city but usually 27mpg city. If I dare take it down the highway I get mid 30’s mpg
Any clearance issues with oil pan?
Hello, good morning, do you think this d201 engine will work for me for a 1995 Ford Explorer?

It will If you don’t plan to go over 60mph.
what kind of power does it make?
I don’t know that it could make enough to register on a dyno. The factory hp rating of the Isuzu was 34hp but that was naturally aspirated. Wind resistance=Hp at 65mph. Haha it can go faster but the more throttle you give it past 65 just makes Higher EGTs
@@beardotapeshoes27 how long does it take to get to 65 mph
About as fast as a 4cyl ranger with a refrigerator in the bed
How u make engine adapter & clutch
The clutch was pretty easy. I took a 2.3l ford gasser flywheel and re drilled the center to reflect the Isuzu crankshaft pattern and used a factory ranger pressure plate and clutch disc
Bruh how you adapt the trans
Robot cantina did a good video pretty much describing how i did mine. I believe it was his video on diesel swapping a Saturn with a kubota.
Is that a 4 cylinder ? Or 3
It’s a 2.01L 4 cylinder
Does it drink oil
This truck is on a diet of waste engine oil and trans fluid blended with diesel. But the crankcase is pretty dry. It barely leaks any oil if that was the question
