Thanks for all the Support.. Much Appreciated...
yea man i hear yah, i thought the same thing about that $450 pill especially when im building on a budget. i knew i only had a few options if i wanted to retain the stock speedo. the abbott box is a lil cheaper but it tends to have a lag, so the tailshaft mod was the way i went. im glad i did, the speedo is very accurate and dosent have any lag or needle bounce. when your driving the car and snatching those gears you will be glad you bucked up.
Thank you for showing the detail & how the mod looks. much appreciated
Any time! much appreciated brotha Adam
Back watching all the videos I never saw....
thanks.. much appreciated...
Intersting info!!
Love this. Thanks man!
no problem, anyway i can help anyone make their ls install easier i will give a hand... thanks again.
Unfortunately I must agree. I'm wondering if I can machine it myself on my mill and just buy their kit.. Or piece it together using T5 parts. I mean it looks like about 40 bucks in parts and an hour of machine time. Well see once I get into it..
cool video
Hey terry any video in how much you cut in your tunnel to fit the t56 im in that process right now
i have pics some where when i was installing my t56.. its not too terrible but it is going to be some work.. the GM A bodys have the smallest tunnels in the GM fleet..
Hey Cover man your vids are an easy explanation every time. i actually have a 84 camaro and a 5.3 truck engine but i want to put it in the camaro i have the ecm and factory wire harness what should i be aware of? my first ls swap. Thanks in advanced
Hey TK having the pcm and harness that a great start. whats are you going to use for the tranny? we have to get the engine mounts brackets and crossmember that will work with your car. call mark and street and performance in mena AR. he has done thousand of these swaps and he will put you on the right track. tell him terry sent you.. was this car originally fuel injected?
Appreciate it man no it wasnt but i plan on making it one haha.. i have a 4l60 with the eng also i was going to use a old 350 turbo but decided to just stay modern since the motor will be. but i will look into the phone number or email address on that site. Thanks Terry.
good move, you will be limited on performance with the turbo 350. id put that 4l60 in for sure to feel the full benefits of the conversion. definately call mark, he will answer all your questions hes a good guy. heres his number 479 394 5711. if you have any question im a email away brotha..
it looks like you can do that with a drill press. you need to buy the gears and a speedo gear set up for a th350
thanks for the comment, seem there is alot more than just drilling into the side of the housing. im the first to try to find ways to save money on a LS swap, but being T56 tailshafts are hard to come by, i rather give it to someone who has a proven record of modifying them. thanks again bro...
So the stock VSS maintains and they add the mechanical? I need both
everything stays the same..
hey tks for the info I have a question what did u do about the fuel pump did u put it in the tank or what?
Whats up james.. i converted my tank to a in tank pump.. you have several ways to go, external pump, buying a tank that is set up with the pump inside or going the way i did and modifying your existing tank to make it a fuel injection tank.. heres my video on how i did.. any question let me know.. ua-cam.com/video/85xJa_Zvkp8/v-deo.html
After looking at the 450-500 dollar price tag I'm starting to regret my T56 decision. I thought getting a trans for 700 was a deal but now I'm wondering if this 3000 dollars is going to be worth it.
