Porsche and Merc are best battle machines and Mclaren is overrated average car
Hello
@@oldschoolracinggames5729 the McLaren is an overrated average car??? How in the world is that in any way on any planet an average car? Literally every thing about it is about as far as possible from the average car anywhere? It's unique and an absolute iconic piece of automotive history and goes without question a legend. You are definitely saying that without ever even experiencing one I person and I can probably guarantee that you have never been in a drive inside of this work or art you wouldn't be able to even type that sentence let alone speak it! It's okay to have an option on it and not like the style of it we all have our own taste but you can't argue with facts man.
Unless you are a car person, you don't realise just how special this is, watching all 3 of these cars together!
Having the McLaren F1 GT would be even crazier
3 of the most iconic cars
I Couldn't agree more about your comment seeing these three together is just beautiful 3 cars that dominated le mans in there own times beautiful works of engineering
Absolutely!
Unicorns 👌👌👌🙏
I've watched thousands of hours of automotive content. This is one of the greatest videos I've ever watched. Thank you.
Yes
I loved this for real the best 🚗 ever built
I would have to agree with you just a brilliant video 👌
The fact they’re all silver too makes this so incredible
The CLK GTR will always be one of my most coveted cars. I hope to see one in person one day. God willing, maybe even own one.
i hope the best for you bro
@@capac3785 thank you bro 🙏🏾
it is like the countach quite a sobering experience to actually drive, its made for racing, its super uncomfortable and really made for rather short people so...yeah I agree its a fantastic looking thing and I love it but own it? I mean owning just to own would be sad, I would want it to be driven.
£600,000 for a McLaren F1 when new, that would get you a beautifully restomoded Reliant Robin these days.
Might as well buy 6000 washing machines if I intend to tumble around in a rotating metal case with soiled garments on
@@tanaka90 😂
@@tanaka90 hahaha, i have owned a robin this is accurate :)
the cost of this car today reaches 17-19 million euros
🤣🤣🤣
the 1990s holy trinity
Too bad that the f1 is miles ahead of both the other 2
Finally a video which demystifies the 911 GT1 & CLK GTR and puts them in context. 👏👏
DK Engineering are incredible. Thanks Carfection. These three cars were my favourite growing up - the CLK GTR is still one of the most unique looking cats ever!
Bad ass car
@@marcelk3847 porsche ass 1/10 hahahah
Having a silver XJ220 with this group would've been amazing, even though we all know who would've come in last.
@Jack Smith no fucking duh
Probably something i will rewatch atleast once a year so thanks to you Henry and the Carfection team for all your great content.
Having experienced these cars in the 90s and having friends race them back in the day was mind-blowing. This extremely well-made video captures wonderfully the spirit of this trinity. Thank you, team Carfection, well done.
"having friends race them" Why lie?
Love all 3 of these cars but the CLK GTR is my favorite if I had to choose 1.
Amazing lineup and opportunity, we are all jealous! The only thing that would have made this even better is if you had the GTR short tail variant of the F1 since it was more in line with the spirit of the CLKGTR and 911GT1
Videos like this should be illegal. The greatest cars at one of the most legendary tracks. Brings back childhood memories of playing Need For Speed II SE. Thank you @Carfection
astounding walk down memory lane in HD… well done on this piece guys, well done 👏🏻
The CLK GTR is the only car iv ever had a poster of on my wall when I was teenager 😁 I absolutely love that car even now it looks amazing
To see a 911 GT1 in person, is mind blowing.
I didn't know I needed this, but nothing could possibly be more important in my life for the next 40 minutes than watching this 🤯
I still genuinely believe the mclaren f1 from a rolling race will challenge many super cars of today. Would be interesting to see it against something like a 720s.
na v12 straight from the future
720s would obliterate it but purely based upon the gearshifts
Even the mp4-12c is faster
Depends on how long the race was, for pure top speed the F1's 240mph is still something that very few cars can touch (or even come close to). Not bad for a car that's 30 years old.
@@gustavoaguiar7485 no it is not at all. In a straight line the mclaren f1 has the same 200-300kmh time as the 720s. Which means in genuinely acceleration it is very close to a 720s but is let down massively by slower gear changes. A mp4-12c is most definitely not faster than the f1.
I only just re-watched this series the other day and you pull this!!! Thanks :)
Three absolute icons. What a treat to watch all three in one video.
What a wonderful video. Really, one of the best videos about cars ever.
Henry this is fantastic!!! What a beautiful story and I hope you enjoyed every second!
Boundary breaking trinity indeed. Even for Carfection this breaks all limits. Fabulous.
From true car enthusiasts around the world I sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart for bringing out the holy trinity. Brilliantly made.
Nicely put together Henry & team. Bet you love your job!
No doubt about it Mr. Catchpole. You produce some incredibly magnificent videos. This one spoke to my car-soul. The part of me that’s simply childlike fascination & nothing more.
Goosebumps from the get go! Amazing film as always
Has that F1 just been kept in a sealed container since production?! It looks absolutely immaculate.
Maybe played a little because we all know the engine will break if it isn’t used.
The 240 mph top speed is from a special spec car with unrestricted rpm limiter and other minor changes. "Regular" f1 did around 225
Still fast by today standards
More so the gearing was the big change
Super review! What a way to start the day
Amazing film ! What a treat to see these 3 very special cars together
Hey Carfection, I know there’s only 1 road car but do you think you could get a hold of a Nissan R390 GT1 to test? Especially seen as you just drove the Jaguar Sport XJR-15.
Without forgetting the Toyota GT-One TS020 roadcar. Only 2 were made…
Extremely unlikely since it's in Nismo's warehouse in Japan.
@@vyrnmn Look at what else Carfection achieved. Nothing’s impossible.
And the screaming Mazda 878
Great though that would be, it ain't gonna happen...
This is the most satisfying Video on UA-cam. Gorgeous, Amazing. I can't describe it.
This video just gets a instant like in my heart .
Well done!
One of the holy car trinity’s for sure
CLK GTR and the Porsche 911 GT1...these sparked battles in our home, one half of the family GTR guys the rest 911 guys. Stuttgart's finest
That was absolutely brilliant.- thanks, Henry
more than happy to enjoy this again
Absolutely brilliant piece 👍
The greatest era in supercars. Absolute legends.
Thanks Henry - great story. Sensational film.
a videographic masterpiece, not worth to say much about the cars, they are just amazing
I just love the production and music in these videos!!
One of the best car reviews......great.
What a treat. Dream legendary trio from the always excellent Carfecktion team . Thanks for this.
Simply breathtaking.
Easily the best video of the year, just epic. Thanks for bringing boyhood hero’s alive in this beautiful video!
I feel you, I might freeze just by watching one on the road, this is really special
WOW thank you for this video.🙏🏽
Never heard of the 911 GT1. Until today I subscribed cause of that
All raced at Le Mans, all iconic vehicles, all unicorns, what more can you ask for during this moment?
Amazing video , thank you for sharing with us
Just an absolutely brilliant video. Congratulations to all who put it together.
One word.. AWESOME!
I never thought I’d see a video with these three legends. Wow. Literally no words for the jealousy!
amazing video, three legends in silver one. Love this icons
Incredible piece 🙌🏽
Thanks so much for doing the best one first 👍
This is the holy trinity.
Simply Brilliant.
How awesome to drive all those cars back to back.
Great video!
Excellent. Thank you
wow...the best 39.16 min of my life
Absolutely epic!
The conclusion of this video was beautifully written essay, many wow’s the words that were put to this video
so relaxing
Wow! What a top quality film that was, well done to all for putting this together. I bet Henry felt a tad nervous taking these irreplaceable classics around a racing track, it would certainly make me nervous. Therein lies a problem with these cars, as they are now so rare and expensive they cannot be driven like they were designed to be, but must be coddled. It's a pity as they cannot be driven (legally) at speed on the public road, and cannot be risked on the track. It was a rare privilege then for a journalist to drive them all.
Now that’s the holy trinity!
I rarely ever comment, but my word what a video! Up there with Chris Harris and the Holy Trinity. Epic.
So happy to see my favorite McLaren F1 and CLK GTR together. Never seen them in real life. If I got enough money, both will be in my garage.
Great video
Dream day out Henry! Ace Sir, just ace.
Great review 👍 of amazing cars trio.
I love this drive review of this super cars.
Awesome video!!!
Terrific journalism - as usual...
Thank you so very much for this video! I remember when these cars were new! My 1998 Porsche Boxster wears those same head lights proudly. 😀👍
I had posters on my wall back in day lol. Super cool!
This was a beauitful video.
Delightful. Always filled with insight and canny observation.
Amazing vid. Beautiful machines. Merc is absolutely stunning IMO.
Just amazing in every possible way. Thank you.
All cars are awesome!! Design from the imagination and the distant future in the time of the past! But Mercedes remains the most beautiful and very elegant!! It looks like from another planet! Thank you for the beautiful video and for bringing together these legendary cars
What a treat, my absolute dream cars.
Speechless
Fabulous!
I'm beyond words... A literal dream come true.
Could you guys imagine owning a collection of these cars 😮 Absolutely Amazing
The OG and the best trinity
The GT1 has to be my personal unicorn.
Simply Magnifique!
Absolutely. Gorgeous.
WONDERFUL thing to do.
totally agree, as a kid growing up admiring these three legends. we lived through a true golden period of racing and advancement, alongside public consumption. I think we missed the point when the computer could figure everything out, along with electric fuel and such, could be it's own thing. I do see companies still try with manual gearboxes. Boy, when you know you're getting old, smh...
2 of those cars coming from my hometown makes me so proud
Huge respect for all Carfection team! You guys rock! ✊🏻
OMG , THESE ARE MY 3 FAVORITES CARS OF MY LIVES
I can't think of anyone else I would want to hear describe the behavior of these cars. You have such an informative way of speaking while you're driving. Excellent video.
