I've been using an electric razor for ages. My very expensive Remington razor does not hold its charge anymore and I only had it a few years. A complete waste of money and it didn't shave very well either So I bought one of the cheap Sejoy ones off eBay. It's brilliant.
Glad you think it's good. I hadn't used one before so nothing to compare with. Sometimes the expensive ones aren't actually all that good. Cheers for the comment
A regular shaving cream from a tube or tub - not from an aerosol - will give a smoother, more comfortable and closer shave. I currently use Body Shop Maca and Root and Aloe variety; there are plenty of others. A nail-size dollop is more than enough to cover the face, so it lasts a long time. Post shave, like a regular blade shave, I use an alum block followed by shaving balm. Have used many types, Nivea, Proraso etc. Am currently using HB Dead Sea balm, which is probably the best but also the priciest.
Hi. Thanks for the comment. Really interesting. I had no idea you should use cream with an electric razor. I've used that body shop cream and agree it is very good. I don't really use an electric but may try it again with cream. Thanks
Pleasure. After a lifetime of shaving with a variety of blades am amazed at how comfortable and close a shave can be achieved with an electric shaver and cream (not aerosol). Best of luck if you decide to continue.
So that’s what a electric razor looks like😮
Cheers🍻🥃
Ha ha. Yep. Very strange indeed. Mad how it felt so alien. But it was actually ok
Glad you are back posting, you were missed. Never seen you with a moustache. It would be good to see you grow and then show how to shape it up and maintain the look. Would you consider growing?🙏
Hi ! Thanks for the comment. I have grown a beard a few times and a moustache a couple too but have to say I'm no Tom Selleck. Ill grow one for you in 'Movember' if you can wait that long ! Remind me closer to the time. Thanks again
@@sharpshaves Thank you Sharp, will have to wait! But will want you to keep it growing after Movember! Seriously think some facial hair make shaving videos that much more interesting and very few show the shaping/maintenance aspect. Anyhow, as I said, glad to see you back.😊 Will nag you in October.
I'm generally used to hacking it all off so might need to watch some UA-cam videos first ;-)
@@sharpshaves Yes, take tuition! Bet you could grow one to complete with Tom Selleck! Here's hoping anyhow but it will need at least 5 weeks growing. 🙏
You forgot Movember...lol. Still wanting you to grow one though.
Great vid. I use my electric razor about twice a week as I find wet shaving takes its toll on my skin every day. A bit of preshave oil or lotion is definitely worth it. Often like to take off the initial stubble with the electric and finish off with a wet shave.
Thanks Edward. It was a new experience for me. I'm very used to the wet shave ritual so it felt very strange at first. The shave was surprisingly close though and yes, makes sense if you want to give your skin a break or are in a rush. Thanks for the feedback. Always appreciated.
I bought this exact same shaver. I was initially impressed with the build quality. But when I started to use it I found the on / off switch is incredibly hard to slide and impossible to move if my hand is wet. The shaver is quiet in operation compared to the one I bought from Lidl several years ago. Sadly it doesn't work anywhere near as good as the Lidl shaver which is way faster and does a much better job by far. So overall very disappointed with this Sejoy product.
It is the only electric razor I've ever used so I'm not able to compare it but sounds like you found a better one. Cheers for the comment
