The advantages of buying separately are also the possibility of installing a different type of hinge. Where I can, I replace the typical 90-degree hinges with 165-degree hinges. They take up a little more space, but the cabinets are more convenient to use.
That is a Hisense QD5 Series 4K UHD Smart Google TV. We probably could get by with a less wide TV Unit for this TV but we still needed ten feet to span that outlet on the right that you see in the "before" photo of the TV setup with Sponge Bob on the screen. Thanks for watching and best of luck should you try this one out!
everything is misaligned O_o you had to build everything off wall THEN attach it later.... and about pilot holes, is better to use wood filler instead of superglue and anything else.
Thanks for watching! You can see @ 5:48 that the unit is level so are you talking about the height and depth adjustments on the doors in terms of the misalignment that you mentioned? I decided against the one piece install as I was working alone and the thing is heavier than my back can support but yeah doing this one piece would allow you put on all the doors first and dial in the depth and side adjustments before mounting (although they can also be adjusted after mounting as they all have 3-ways adjustments on each hinge.) I thought it was close enough! 🤣 As for the wood filler, I've also used that to fill in cabinet doors in the past and I agree it works great! In my experience, it takes a little longer to set up and is harder to get all the way down into the holes as it's a much less malleable texture. As we're not trying to recreate the pre-finished surface or anything (as the hinge entirely covers up the old pilot holes) I went for the super glue and cotton trick and did not have any issues in terms of the hold (keep in mind that we're drilling slightly next to the hole and not directly into it.) Again thanks for watching and excited to learn how you get on with this build!
yeah I've heard those do a decent job as well! Thanks for watching and let me know if it works for you should you go ahead on these LAPPVIKEN Cabinet Doors.
Yeah unfortunately IKEA only sells 2/3rds this length if you need 100% seamless but you can definitely minimize the gap using the technique in the video. I had to cover a 10 foot width somehow to fully eclipse the right side wall outlet as seen in the freeze frame of the before setup. Thanks for watching!

Agreed.
Great job 👏, add lighting at the bottom 👌
Thanks!
You’re a lifesaver
I love saving that money! 💰Thanks for watching.
Good breakdown. Thanks for the video! What size and tv brand/model is that too?

fill your holes with baking soda then add super glue; it will instantly harden rock hard.
Will give that a try. Thanks for the tip!
IKEA: “Delete this fam” 😂
Great video 👍

I have this exact same setup but in black. I think you need a bigger tv my friend haha
I will ALWAYS need a bigger TV 🤣. Thanks for watching!
yeah I will pay the extra money life too short :)
🤣 Amen to that!

@@FullCityReviewsI don't know if the diameter is the same but it looks like it might be but I use bamboo barbecue skewers as dowels in smaller holes.

That second door from left ro right it's very bad .
Thanks for the feedback! I will have to tweak the three way adjustment on that door’s hinges. 👍
....ok but it is not seamless from the top.
