    This is one of the best interviews I've watched. I like those great & thoughtful questions and the way they were asked by the interviewer who also brought energy and abundant enthusiasm into the session; and thus managed to engage the actors (& director) fabulously. It's been a real pleasure to watch this.

    It makes me really sad when people ask them about Anton in interwievs, but they handle it so gracefully.

    Poor guys. Must be rough having to field so many questions about Anton when his death was so recent.

    Thanks for the vibrant interviews Kevin! You put so much heart, soul, and passion into your questions that you spark an electric atmosphere amongst yourself and the people you’re interviewing! I was born in 1998 but like yourself I am a massive film aficionado/buff/guru because I have been watching and studying films my whole life! You were able to grow up in a grand era of films(the 1990s) and I feel those theatrical experiences you had watching so many amazing movies informed your love for one of the greatest art mediums of the world! To wrap things up I will continue to keep watching your interviews on both the fox 5 dc channel and your own person channel! I hope you have a happy holidays this December and I can’t wait to see what you show us(your faithful viewers) next!

    i don't really get the fuss about sulu and him being straight in the original series. couldn't he be bi in both universes? i feel like that's the obvious solution no one's talking about

      They're probably just exhausted from all the press junket. It's really tough to go through so many interviews everyday.

      What you have to remember is that they only lost Anton one month ago, and they'd worked with him for almost ten years. Imagine loosing a good friend and then spending the next month answering questions about him while also expected to be happy and excited about this movie you've done - it's pretty emotionally draining, I'd imagine they'll all be pretty glad when they can move on from this one.

    i don't think the interviewer meant it but the tone and question about Anton was insensitive, they have just lost him. a little more sensitivity in tone and a different question would have been better.

      Hey Alley! It was definitely a tough question to ask but I was asking it in a positive manner. I was saying that the beauty of cinema is that you live on in this timeless capsule. The question was more about how actors have that ability to be timeless. You'll notice that Quinto says it is an interesting way to look at it. He then transitions it to Nimoy. Of course, it's a tough subject but Yelchin is a huge part of the film. Talking about him in a positive way as a great actor is meant to be a remembrance idea. (Kevin)

    he keeps saying he's glad that it sulu having a husband was presented as a "normalcy", but then goes on and acts like it changes the character we know from the previous movies.
    i mean, if you're gonna be glad that it's a normalcy, you have to recognize that it's just an additional piece of information - an important one in terms of representation, as simon pegg pointed out, but it doesn't affect anything we already knew about sulu's character, and (hopefully) wouldn't have changed the way cho played him in the previous movies if he had known..

    • @pvksl
      @pvksl 7 років тому +2

      what he means is that it changes it for the audience, particularly the LGBT+ community, but of course not for the character or what and who he is, apart from the fact that he has a family

    Oh gosh WILL YOU PPL STOP TALKING about the gay thing already? If you wanted to make it feel normal, then let me tell you how normal works. You don't talk about it. Breathing air is normal, you don't talk about it. It felt like the interviewer's life was in danger if he didn't ask about it and say he loved how it was done.
    It feels like in the haste and enthusiasm of representing the gay community, people ignore those who are fine with it but are now tired of hearing about it. It's like how a cute kid who you used to love but is very annoyed with because he has grown up and has started whining.
