Considering they made this movie for $2.8m it's a lesson in how to make an epic return from epic actors. Stellar talent at bargain prices. I believe that JC Chandor said that they made $2m back from just Spain alone!
Really? Sounds like the interviewer is unprepared to ask these three men intelligent, informed questions about the making of this great film. How pathetic.
The lesson of this movie was that greed drives a lot of business and in this instance, some of the characters acted in a way which showed that they did not care what they were doing to the little people. There's a scene in the movie where Simon Baker and Demi Moore are talking to each other in an elevator with a cleaning lady between them and this is a sort of metaphor for the way that the bankers screwed over the little people who lost their jobs and their homes. The sad truth is that greed is still the motivating factor for all business in Wall Street and on other markets and that this sort of financial crash will happen again - and soon.
It was a compelling cautionary tale about the hive mentality of highly amoral autistic males. I wouldn't want to know let alone hang with any of the characters nor would they want to hang with me I suspect. Not one employee in the office balked and walked when given the order by the firm to get rid of as much toxic assets off the books as possible. Not one!
Your interview questions are not very good, made worse still by your trying too hard to be funny. Your questions need to be better, more intelligent. Avoid forcing the banter. Your strengths are the fact that you have been able to get these guests in the first place, so play to that. Don't try and butt in with your contrived remarks.
This is a movie that assists with a professional trading mindset. I watch it to remind me why I chosen my career path. I am delighted this movie has been made.

Did you know what was coming at 23? Sure, you probably knew it all then, only to later find out how wrong you were. That’s his character in a nutshell, and he absolutely nailed it. Watch the scene of the first meeting as Simon Baker walks out of the room with everyone watching him. Note how Penn turns to look at the person closest to him in the power structure. It’s totally brilliant acting. It is chock full of subtle queues of power dynamics and placement within the hierarchy given by every single actor in this movie.
they've made a goodmovie , but they forgot about: Baknsters are not humans they are vampires .. :) '' now we need to wait and see the real "Margin call"(collapse od dollar/USA..;) and remember like in that movie Greedy BANKSTER WILL ALLWAYS WIN !
The very fact that they gave such convincing performances when they know nothing about the business shows how brilliant they are at acting.
An amazing script helps a lot too.
I mean it is their job bro
@@segasys1339 True - they are actors. This movie had some superlative performances. The whole cast deserved recognition for this one.
A lot of talented actors in this one, especially Tucci and Spacey.

A very gripping and well made movie. I really enjoyed it --and the use of Chopin Prelude was cleverly inserted
No question for Stanley?
Why did a brilliant actor like Stanley get no questions? Interviewer sucked.
Yes. Stupid af
They Statements Are Profound;
Stanley Tucci said precisely ZERO in this interview!!! 🤣🤣🤣
3 good actors.....and Penn is just gorgeous
i haaaaaaaaaaaaaaate this guy's sweater
best unnderrated comment!!
Love the movie!!
Jeremy Irons has a very commanding presence too. "And right now, I don't hear . . .a . . .thing".
Superb film!
You should fire the interviewer. He's terrible. Also, Stanley Tucci's reaction at the beginning, scoffing haha, love it.
the "interviewer" is one of those annoying "movie" experts who is lucky to have a live due to the "talent" of others
Exactly. He's got the depth of a 13 year old. Just ridiculous.
Penn is so dam hot
Penn... someone is getting sleepy 0:21 jajajaj love you!
Penn is so hot
Zachary quinto came out last week. :D
Came out of what ? Lol
Really? Sounds like the interviewer is unprepared to ask these three men intelligent, informed questions about the making of this great film. How pathetic.
Ah the rocket scientist

Nice Dilbert joke lol
Wall Street for 2000s

Quinto and Tucci are way sexier than Penn.
go back to your sorority and gray movies and p hub

You sir need this frat boy's job!
I really wanted to hear Stanley talk… awful interviewer!
agree totally
Stanley didn't hear anything remotely intelligent, that's why he couldn't add to conversation. Patches is a frat-privileged douche
0:32 - not a good body language Zachary !!
This film is a classic, & a must-see. Flawless acting, dialogue so perfect, it's a joy to see.------------------WolfSky9

penn is such a hipster, contrary to the film

Such a shame, crap interviewer straight out of college, I wanted to hear Tucci talk
Saw margin call and it was amazing. Really makes you think. Everyone was amazing especially penn because he's so hot
Penn Badgley is the most British looking American actor I’ve seen
The interviewer can’t simply ask a question and stay quiet. Trying hard to be witty and funny and relevant.
Lots of gay guys in this movie!!
I kinda pity at penn's character, naive and judgmental & fragile..especially when he didnt know whats coming his way
The character is 23. He's a new grad so makes sense he was the most clueless.

FINALLY! some intelligent commentary from actors instead of the usual blaming of others for that which they don't really understand
I wonder who is the most handsome bastard here?
Dan got a jog and fired soon
Penn Badgeley was pretty superfluous to the whole thing, though.
His character was a bit more like the rest of the world -- he didn't _drive_ the chaos or hedge or figure out the chaos, he just got smacked by it.
The film was way better than this interview.
