    I love, love love this blanket pattern. C2C is new to me so I have a few questions as I am DETERMINED to make this as a gift for my son. He's a fairly large man and I need this large. Your pattern doesn't tell what size hook to use, or the size of the finished afghan. I have done a panel with three blocks and my 8 rows measure about 7inches squared. That would make this approx 56 inches wide. To make it larger, can I crochet 11 blocks by 11 blocks instead of the 8 in your pattern? Seems like that would increase the size equally. And what size hook are you using? I used a 5.5 mm but thinking to use a J hook. Also, there's a question posed by Marianne. I have not gone further in a practice piece to go to another panel. You mentioned that the video was an error. I do not have instagram or facebook. Before I move into starting this is there something you can share with me, maybe an updated video, detail instructions, etc.? I want to thank you so much for sharing this beautiful afghan, I am very excited about getting started with the real deal.

      Hi Karen, Yes 11 blocks on each would make it larger. I also mentioned in another comment, that you can start the pattern over from panel 1, when you finish the chart, to continue repeating. I used a 5mm hook for mine and worsted weight yarn. Regarding the mistake in the video, you don't miss anything, it was just more clear the second time I recorded the section, so I took the first part out. If you still need help, feel free to head over to the blog post that accompanies the video and maybe it will answer your question, since its more at your own pace, where the video keeps going. I'm glad you like it. :)

      @@PurpleRoseCrafts Thank you so very much! I have my first panel done and I am thrilled with it. You are so very good at instructing. And I appreciate you responding to questions, makes me feel like I am not alone, not hanging on and trying to do this without help. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

      I’m extremely frustrated. No matter what I do, how many times I rip out and try again I can NOT get the 2nd panel started right. I can’t count how many times I’ve ripped out, how many times I've watched the video then ripped out again. I'm a visual learner and the second panel is usually bunched up or folded away during the tutorial. There isn't a place showing what this like like at the end of the first second and third colors. 🤨 I'm at a loss As this was supposed to be a gift. I could only get exactly what I needed of one of the colors to starting a new Afghan I won’t be able to use that color in it, which was his special request. I’ve tried this for weeks and I’ve watched over and over and ripped out over and over and I just can’t get it.

      @@Karencperez I'm sorry you're having a hard time. I don't really have a good way to help on here. Can you dm on IG or Facebook? Have you checked the blog post with the written tutorial? I understand video is better but maybe to get past this part the written tutorial can help. I could also post pics to help further on IG or Facebook.

    Hello! Thank you so much for sharing this video/pattern...I love it! I, too, am struggling with attaching the 3rd panel. Are the instructions with the purchased pattern more detailed?

    • @PurpleRoseCrafts
      @PurpleRoseCrafts  2 роки тому

      Hi Tammy, the full pattern is available in the blog post. You can send a DM on Instagram or Facebook, if you need direct help. For the most part, slip stitch to attach the square, then chain 2 to move to the top of the next square. Turn, then DC into the side of the square below.

      @@PurpleRoseCrafts Thank you for your response...I really appreciate it! I think where I am getting stuck is the "chain 2" you instruct at the end of the 7th row before the slip stitch to attach it to the 2nd panel...it ends up looking too long. I'll try what you've advised here in hopes that solves the problem.

    • @PurpleRoseCrafts
      @PurpleRoseCrafts  2 роки тому

      You'll be making 3 DC over the chain 2, so it'll be covered up, I think. Hopefully, I'm thinking you're attaching the last row of the first colour to panel 2, correct?

    Help on panel 3. You are coming down with white. I understand about the decrease coming down and increase going up. Now your video switches to the decrease 3 rows up. I have a picture of mine and it looks exactly like yours. I am down to the 3 double crochets from row below.

      I made a mistake when recording, and it was way easier the second time I attached to the edge of panel 2... Can you dm me on Instagram? I'm not 100% sure where you're stuck. You could send a pic in the DM's.

      @@PurpleRoseCrafts Sorry I only have Facebook. Wen't to the top, changed to white. Wen't 8 white clusters down. Now I have the 3 double crochets in the grey that we did at the for starting the 8th row, then the panel

    • @PurpleRoseCrafts
      @PurpleRoseCrafts  2 роки тому

      I think, to connect the last cluster was a chain 2, SL stitch to panel 2, then chain 2 again and slip st to the top of the same block, turn and DC 3 over the first 2 chains and finally sl st to the last full block.... Does that make sense for where you're at? If not, I have a Facebook page too...

      To learn c2c watch this one: ua-cam.com/video/Wz2U_LF2ob8/v-deo.html
      Begin this first section with 8 rows of the first colour increasing on both sides, until your row has 8 blocks.

      Hi Marianne, to make it wider begin again at panel 1, for the width, and for length follow the colour changes, accent colour(teal), white, Lt grey, white, other accent colour(charcoal), white Lt grey white, first accent colour again. 💜
