To get back into knitting.
Very nice 👍 Insaw so many videos but so easy way you explained thank you so much .
How come I can’t do the straight edges?
For any pattern, slip the first stitch like a purl, then work your row, then purl the last stitch.
@@PurpleRoseCrafts thank you, I’ll have to try again tomorrow.
Great video but how do I cast off with two colors😭😩
Do you know how I would rip back a lot of double kitting? Is there a way to put a lifeline ?
Too fast. I am sorry
I posted a slowed-down version in the description of this video.
Great video, very clear, thank you!
I love that you are a English (thrower) knitter because it’s easier for me to follow 😅
I've actually converted to continental since I made this video because it's way faster.
@@PurpleRoseCrafts How can you do that if you're not left handed? It feels so backward to me which makes it slow and it reminds me of crochet which has that same backward left handed feeling.
Great explanation! I needed a refresher after taking a break from knitting. Thank you. I am making some knitted stockings for my daughter and her husband who just got married this year!
How come you have 4 corners and only 3 markers I don't think you've done a great job I'm explaining it. Plus no replies to peoples questions or mine 🫥🫨🤥🤥🤥🤥🤥🤥
I've replied to every question on this video, including answering your question in other comments. Sorry for the confusion, I don't have the ability to change the video once it's posted to make things more clear, only reply to comments.
I am making an adult hat and I have 96 sts and on straight needles. Please advise where I can put my 4 markers? Many thanks. ❤
Hello, sorry I didn't see you comment before now. Event space your 4 markers, 24 stitches, 48, 72, and ned of the row. I probably skipped the end of row because it's already on there. Sorry for the confusion.
@@PurpleRoseCrafts thank you
Thank you. I watched twice before attempting it along with you - with the speed reduced so I could keep up with the captions. That may help some who were having trouble following you. My ear flaps turned out well.🙂
Thanks for this!
Doing this border now and I love it! So easy too!
👏🏻🧶
Thank you so much! I love the way you’re explaining every single detail.
Confusing talking
Wow, way too fast for me. I know how to slow it down, thank goodness!
This was SO EASY compared to the other videos I was watching!! Thank you!
Great tutorial how do you get such cleab edges mine always look too loosee and untidy
Slip the first stitch purlwise and purl the last one on each row. Hope that helps.
Waaaayyyy too damn fast
Maybe try the blog post. I included pics of each stage.
So,beautiful ❤
im confused, i think maybe i did something wrong. what stitch were you using? i was using the purl stich and i heard you say purl but yours doesnt look like purl stich
It's all stockinette, one row knits and the reverse is purl. I'm not sure which row you mean, but the whole row is one or the other.
So lovely, young lady. I especially love the comment about your grandparents. How does that cotton feel? It looks really soft. Thank You. Love from Ontario, Canada ❤❤❤
That stripey one is nice. Bernat handcrafted is a bit stiff. They both wash nicely.
I LOVE C2C definitely going to have to try this version
I did the absolute beginner cast on stitch, which ended with my two ends of thread on opposite ends of the needle, then this one starts with them both on the same end. Am I missing a step in between?
No, this video just used a long tail cast on to start. Just use the yarn from your ball and ignore the tail.
Different places in the yarn. I'm knitting right now and im trying to make a purse
Would be better to view the foundation portion without the blurring effect. The focus was going in and out and the music was too loud. It was off-putting. :(
I tried following but I didn't get it it was beautiful though ❤
There's a full tutorial on the channel. ua-cam.com/video/O41XFF-oHUc/v-deo.html
To clarify please, that's knit 2 tog, slip marker, knit 2 tog then knit the round, Next row only knit correct. Thank you.
I believe it's ssk, slip marker, then k2tog. K2tog will lean the wrong way for one of them, if you use it twice.
@@PurpleRoseCrafts Thanks so much for the clarification. I used this method yesterday on a hat, it turned out nicely. Thanks so very much.
Too hard to follow.
Im going to make a lined handbag with squares of this stitch
Sounds beautiful!
Ahhhhhh.nice and easy! Starting a prayer shawl ... Answered a prayer😊
Thanks for making it so easy to understand
When you point to the chart, you point to the bue and say three white, then you point to the white and say blue. WTH? So you're saying the blue on the chart is actually white and the white on the chart is Blue? So confusing!
Yes, the colour on the chart could be anything. You decide what colour's to knit where. I did mine opposite of the colour's on the chart I made. Sorry if I didn't explain that in the video.
Very confusing. You say you're going to pick up the white but then you knit with the blue. As you point to the chart you say three white while pointing to three blue. Is one of us color blind?
Lord you are going so fast, how can anyone follow you 😢😢
There's a slower video. It's linked in the description of this one. Sorry it's too fast.
Thank you for this! I always forget how to cast on lol. I am picking up knitting after some years of not touching it and I am trying some color work for the first time :)
I always cable cast on. So much neater love the video
Thank you for your tutorial, your work is very neat. Is there the same amount of stretch in this method as the other one?
Thanks so much for your video! I’ve made the dish cloth and loved it. Would it be possible to use this pattern, just adding more stitches, to make a blanket?
Yes, absolutely! I'd recommend using a long round needle to get all your stitches on. I made a placemat with this pattern, rectangle. I continued increasing on one side while doing decreases on the other.
Doll blanket
If people are trying to learn how a new stitch is done we are better off not looking at a video that has varigated yarn is being used.
Can this only apply to stockinette stitch? Thanks for the tutorial❤
I'd be curious to see the patter in garter. I'm sure it would look differently, but should still work.
@@PurpleRoseCrafts Thank you. I'll try and see how it looks ☺️
What is the stitch requirements with the blanket to do this border?
We use single crochet and slip stitches.
When knitting on circular needles, do you just do Knit stitch the whole way around to get stockinette? Vs Knit one row, Purl one row for flat knitting.
Yes, exactly!
Thankyou, my child wants to knit, but I have never learnt how to cast on. Your video has given me the know how ❤
So do u just try 2 eyeball it & stay consistent/try making the same size loops as well as trying 2 keep ea.1 about the same distance apart(or does that not really matter yet at this pt.)? I guess the more u practice making loops(& getting a feel for the correct tension u need maybe)this way, the better u will get at making pretty even looking gaps where the stitches will come out looking the same & appear nice & neat..
Keeping them a little loose makes it easy on the first row, to get your needles in the stitches. Keep in mind too that your needles taper so they will get into the stitches. Also, if you naturally knit looser, your cast on needs to be looser as well.
Nice, but I saw a couple of videos where they purled instead of slipping. What's the difference?
if you knit, purl, its seed stitch, slipping turns it into a double thick fabric in a tube.
Hi I’m just learning to knit and this helped so much thank you
