    I have a question....can we set up a scheduled refresh on a live connection....what I mean is can we have the workbook to auto refresh so that if any changes is made to the data source it is reflected on the dashboard to the end users. I understand that an extract can be auto refreshed using a schedule however my question is specifically regarding live connections?

      For live connection not required no schedule. Whenever the user will open the report automatically report will refresh and get the latest data

    Can we connect Tableau desktop with embedded data source(which is already there in Tableau server)?

    How do we update data in a published data source with live connection??

    • @madalakrishnamanaidu6501
      @madalakrishnamanaidu6501  3 роки тому +1

      For live connections (Embedded or Published Data sources) no need to create a schedule because whenever the user will open the report it will bring the latest data by running the query against the database. Hope it answered your question.

    How to convert Embedded Datasource from Published Datasource?

    • @madalakrishnamanaidu6501
      @madalakrishnamanaidu6501  3 роки тому

      Just you can publish the data sources as separate to server..then it is called as published data source
