A lot of these videos start off with "We read some Japanese magazine." it kinda just blows my mind that in the 10-20 years these facts went undiscovered nobody in that time had read these magazines and spread the information a lot earlier.
At the time people weren’t spreading information like that and Japan doesn’t look at this kind of stuff the way the west does. They look at it as just general news and information but to us, it’ll always be exclusive information that provides more context to certain aspects of gaming.
DYKG is legit such a gem of a channel, they're such professional and legitimate journalists/archivists. All the work they do translating magazines, old interviews, and even contacting ex-employees, etc. makes for such juicy content.

I love having all the GBA games on my Vita!!
Most play ok to damn near perfect, & the look great on the Vita!
But I also got a hacked, new 3DS and some games look better on it due to the screen being lower resolution, then the PS Vita screen!!
Either way, I’ve been playing golden sun, legacy of Goku II, Zelda, Minnish Cap, Pokémon leaf green and alpha sapphire and mother three, Sword of Mana & FF1&2 & Tales of Phantasia!

@@turismofoegaming8806yeah also on the 3ds you can play them natively and if you hold START+SELECT they'll be in pixel perfect mode, it's amazing!

Oh shoot, That explained a reference i never understood just now. Metal Gear Acid also referenfed Bok Tai back by having thay Solar Gun as a card. A really overpowered one.

Errors are not only present in GBA games it seems. You guys talk about a softlock in Emerald with a lv100 electrode but all shots show that it's lvl30.
The code section of this video gave me flashbacks to Aladdin on the Sega having the code A,A,B,B,A,A,B,B,A to skip levels. I’d mash that as a 4 year old just to hear the end theme song. Can’t believe 20 years on I still remember it 😂
Mother three is an amazing little game!!!
I have it on my hacked, new 3DS, and I have to say from the very first few minutes all the way till like 5 to 10 hours in, it has reeled me in by getting the hook in to me and keeping me on the line with great storytelling friendly And comfortable/cozy atmosphere and graphics and beautiful little music!!
It is a great little RPG game that I was totally surprised by !!
But earthbound ain’t no slouch itself - but I have to say I like the Way mother three plays the best?!
I tried to get it running on my hacked DSi but the translation doesn't run correctly on the emulator the dsi uses
@@alexskocy9948 so far, I’ve not noticed any issues with the English patch or whatever on the new 3DS hacked!!
I even had to look it up because I thought it was a standard game ?!? that’s how good it ran!
@@alexskocy9948I mean... the DSi does not use any emulator... although GBArunner2/Twilightmenu is not perfect it should be able to play them normally.

The glitched graphics in Mario world for gba is due to certain sprites being part of a set. Only one set of sprites can be used per level including bg sprites as well. It looks like the sprite set is just switched via a hex mixup. You see the same exact thing when editing the original game with lunar magic!
The GBA is still one of my favorite handhelds! Glad you made a compilation for it!

All of the 3D game boy advance games I remember emulating when I was younger, always made me think they were rip-offs and s***** Chinese ports lol. Little did I know they were actual games on hardware that was not ever really capable of fully running 3D games. But damn did it give it its best shot.
