I got to hand it to you, really well done, this sort of work is tedious, time consuming and at times incredibly frustrating, every corner you turn or every problem you overcome, there is another right around the corner, but you just keep pressing on and solving all these issues.....Just brilliant to see. You gotta love Superformance right!! They always have what you're looking for...

What I love the most is the amount of "idgaf if its a ferrari" there is in this build. Zipties, wonky jack and some bungee cords. That exhaust is going in no matter what.

Try the Finnish trick for the -spawns of hell- wasps:
    1. Put a bowl of water near their general area
    2. Dip a kitchen towel (those water-soaking ones) in beer or a soft drink which has sugar
    3. Hang that towel on top of the bowl of water on a stick or something, just above the water
Wait a day or two and get rid of 100 dead wasps. Replace the cloth with a new one, if some wasps still remain.

Man, you've gotta get yourself a can of wasp killer spray! Either at dawn or dusk you just spray it into the nest and you're all set. No reason to break the nest apart and get stung a bunch! 308 looks great!

Hi Scott, I really love your videos they have become such a great reference guide to me doing my own repairs on my cars. I currently have a 77 Gtb 83 GTS QV and 87 TR which I just installed a Tubi exhaust on. Took my gtb for a ride the other day put the windows down and when I got it back home, passenger side window is stuck down. So I will be performing the lubrication fix you did on yours . Thank you love the channel. The Euro look on the 308 looks great .

you can kill wasps easily and quickly by mixing dishwashing liquid with water in a spray bottle. Use 1 part washing liquid to 10 parts water. Set spray bottle to "stream" (not mist) and squirt the wasps. As soon as you hit them in the air with the stream of liquid they will fall to the ground. Cover them with more liquid. Basically the liquid stops them breathing and they die quickly......maybe in 10 sec or less. Us a bucket of liquid and throw whole bucket on the nest. That will do the job. Its a cheap, bio friendly solution, that kills the wasps quickly

  • @TheMentalblockrock

Scott, top tip for Killing a whole wasps nest- stand at a safe distance and empty a can of RAID into the entrance to the nest. The wasps will be dead by next morning. it doesn't even have to be RAID wasp and fly killer, even the ant and cochroach killer will kill the whole nest. Just empty the WHOLE can at the entrance to the nest. BTW, done at your own risk, this is not advice, just what has worked for me. If you're at all sensible you will call a pest removal service.

Seriously I'd only be surprised if a vintage Ferrari project budget didn't end up blowing out. A friend inherited an F355 and thought he'd keep it as a weekend drive, the car appeared to be in excellent condition well maintained by his uncle with low mileage however after a couple of drives he noticed smoke /fumes coming from the engine bay he took it in to be checked and got a quote for $25k to fix replace the timing belt ( An engine-out procedure), cracked headers, numerous water leaks, perished suspension bushes.
Some of these cheap supercars you may be able to afford to buy but owning/running them is a different matter?

Sorry, can't help looking at the 308 with the front bumper off and thinking it looks clean like a 365/512 bbi. I think the same would work for the back... lowered, maybe wheel spacers. Is it possible to make it just a bit bb? Anyone tried that before? Back around 85 we had a few cool cars in the village, a 512bbi, another guy had 2 mereks and 2 gamma coupes ( I think reliability issues) and odd ball Mercedes 280se 2 door estate (not a funeral car). Come to think the guy opposite us had a roller, 2 RR vogues exactly the same and 2 escort 1.6 ghia, both again exactly the same. Yes I did partake in some fun back in the day but I was completely sober back then. Great times. Back on topic. Would be really good to see you do some interesting body mods to a 308 without killing it. Something sympathetic and stylish.

damn looks good. I'm old so have seen a lot of Ferraris, and one thing of classic Ferrari's that has stuck me from the beginning is the hot sexy quad exhaust standing proud from the rear. also luv that about the E-type too. gets me every time...

The title of this video made me think you'd been sold some hooky parts. But no! Another kind of sting. Those wasps certainly made a mistake drawing attention to themselves like that, but at least you discovered them and got stung, not your little kiddie! Good luck getting shot of them

Wow, what a difference a day makes :) Job well done! Time to get yourself a nice workshop, where you can work regardless of showers and thunderstorms!

Can't believe how much of a PITA this conversion has turned into, must admit I expected it would be much easier, really surprised at how much difference there is between a EDM and USDM model!
Love the way Lexi just knew exactly what was coming when she got out the car 😂 Top lady.
Curious what your plans are with this one when it's done? Selling or keeping?

is the exhaust touching the frame? This will provoke bad rattling noises.

    • @Ratarossa

Wasps? You did the wrong thing, approach them at night, they are less active, pour diesel onto nest, spray Raid all around. No more wasps for a time.

Great to see good progress and admire your confidence to overcome 'problems'. But at end of video noticed the vile yellow spotlights, which I trust will be discarded or at least covered?

Spray the nest with a full large can of WD40 (yes really) soak the nest, leave for a day. No wasps

If you start up the 308and run it you can smoke out those nasty wasps.
