The first time I saw this movie ( about 3 years ago), I cried my eyes . Greer Garson and Walter Pidgeon did have the perfect marriage on screen. It is almost impossible to believe that in real life they were not a couple.
i cried so hard...its soo sad....the way she looks at him when he says "we'll be just like old man river, keep floating along" and she knows that that wont be able to happen...they hold hands and he drops his cigarette..."she told me when the autmn's gone, she'd be gone too"...ohh, but the scene's so pretty the dark night with the shimmering harbor...and all so sad and quiet..."we just looked at each other, and loved each other, and danced"...and then walter pidgeon cries OH MY GOSH :( tears
Where is the rest of the movie???? We have the first Miniver movie and have tried to order this one but cannot find it. The next best thing would have been to see it on You-tube!
have seen the full movie in a theatre in Toronto when was young and want to see it again. No clips. Same with CAPTAINS ON THEE CLOUDS TAEN ON SITES WHERE RACED SPORTS CARS. UNABLE TO WATCH GAIN???? WHY>|???

This last segment of the movie kills me every time. I can't watch it without crying like a baby.
