Maybe the moment we sort of fused with Aurene at the end of EoD is why we have this magical buff. Or that we died, and said “no” and came back. Clearly the commander is special in some way.
Everything in the video is very interesting and thought provoking. I trust that the developers will deliver this new era of Guild Wars with genuine enthusiasm for where they take us next. My only hope going into the future is that we do get to experience more of the unexplored parts of the world, and even more so the mists; the underworld and torment. If they take us to where the humans came from - well then...I guess we'll all be a bright shade of impressed.
I’d always figured they were related to the demons that Abbadon was associated with back during Nightfall (separate from the Margonites), which in turn I figured were originally native to the outer Mists, since that’s been the general consensus on what makes a Demon in GW lore. So I think it’s very possible that we’ll see some familiar things going on here in terms of that.
I think what I'd enjoy, assuming they're setting up this whole 'Shadow' concept with that character, is that we get some great build up with small glimpses of her as we find a way to close the rifts, we spend time figuring out a way to close them from the other side and plan an excursion in (a likely one way trip) while dealing with a few other story threads all culminating in the final patch where we do actually take the fight to them and have a cool battle set piece against her. We obviously overcome her but she is saved by who/whatever controls the Kryptis, we're dragged back through the portal by our allies in time before it closes but the Kryptis guy rips all that juicy bad emotion shit from us, we make it back through and the portals close, we've achieved our goal but left the Kryptis with something incredibly dangerous and powerful, a piece of us. Immediate threat is over but leaves lots of nice narrative to be explored in a later expansion and actually gives a little bit more weight for this faction later down the line.
Slightly off-topic but I had more issues than usual to hear and understand you properly on this video :( something with the voice volume/rythm variance, but again I'm not using earphones atm. Always excited to see a new video from you!
Loved your predictions! I could see the Shadow ending up on our side, at least for this expac. I'd like to see the Largos being related somehow to the Kryptis, so that the next expac is about them xD
So many good predictions! Love this! 😁 I am really hopeful that the demon race will have more depth than all of the ones we see being evil. I would love to see more like Razah or something else that’s taken on the sentience and curious side of the Tyrian races. I’m also totally cool with them reusing the old world to create the new. There are so many unanswered questions from not only GW, but GW2. But the possibilities are nearly endless, so I imagine I’m going to have a blast with whatever they do.
I'm always down for more delve into the lore that already exists. Exploring details that have been mentioned but not elaborated or explored. I don't really want BRAND new lore without at least a tie into the lore that exists. I like GW2 lore and I want answers or explore things from it. I love the idea of demon realm conqueror prediction, sweeping the realms and increasing the every mighty horde. That is a very imposing idea. All of your ideas are great and I hope your predictions happen because the story will be great if they did.
Well you've already saw my prediction about the Tengu possibly in SOTO in the comments of one of your last SOTO vids, I still can't get over that idea myself lol.
Love to hear your ideas as always, Queen! I also think and hope that the Kryptis are coming from the human origin world. The idea is very compelling! I hadn't considered Nayos (sp?) being related to the human gods at all but that makes a lot of sense! Very curious and hungry to dive into these secrets tomorrow.
Couple of weeks ago I thought that Menzies might me a big bad of this expansion but now that we're seeing more and more detailes i'm not really sure anymore...
Absolutely! My husband got me a birthday message from Captain Saru, aka the one and only Doug Jones. It remains the best birthday gift I ever got from him.
@@tehno_thefallen386 Like Saru shipping with T'Rina? Or like which ship is my favourite, because I have two, the USS Defiant, and Voyagers. I also love the design of DS9.
I want all the dragons to come back and fight with us to kill many evil gods in another dimension :d the alternate version where dragons tried to save humanity.
This was a fun video. I’m just disappointed they keep reusing their same assets now. All the different kryptis just look like slightly reasoned morsels and risen
my prediction: tomorrow a lot of people will be very disappointed. At this point I am not excited at all. I have seen anet screwing up too many times. Also bringing back Zojja is definetly a low point for me. She was a horrible person in the book and personal story. I really do not care about another superduperspecial asura. Taimi and Gorrik are bad enough. If Zojja does not kneel in front of our awesomeness, I hope there will be a 'boot her into the void' option. She was exposed to 2 dragons. We killed all of them AND a god. Kneel down filthy ratsura.
Hi don't get me wrong it is a greate video but in general I personally don't like story prediction in GW2 and allways jumped in exp and LW storytelling blind. And suggest not making GW2 lik WoW wich the story is being told before the exp end by dataminers and lore needs. This will lower the fun to play the game and makes it like leftover food
I predict every male character will be weak, coward and useless. Every female character will be boss-girls that are never scared, always lead and fix everything. That's GW2 story telling. Every. Single. Time.
The one behind the eye, its obviously Sauron and we can see the portals because of the gifts of Anaatar of course ( ͡~ ͜ʖ ͡°)
Cross over confirmed!

Or that we died, and said “no” and came back. Clearly the commander is special in some way.
I did consider that, our return from the realm of the dead could well be unique and a defining factor. Fingers crossed!!!!

I wonder if the demons invading Kormir’s library are related to Kryptis.
I'd not thought of them!

Haha, you used thy weeping willow's footage.
That video was amazing, indeed!
Very, they did a brilliant job and the flying was spectacular.
I just hope this new herald of nayos isnt exactly like balthazars herald, hope this new herald has more story and more presence

Nayos could be menzies but, yeah Im not sure now. I did see six eyed demons, so our old friend Abaddon could have a hand in this invasion too.
just bought a few hours ago ..... cant wait !!!
As excited as I am , I’m a bit sad there are many reused assets with enemy models and animations, there are just so many
nice video keep up the good work
Thank you
We are waiting for you!
There was a collectors edition? That came with a statue?? 😨

Some people like cheesecake, others don't.
I predict every male character will be weak, coward and useless.
Every female character will be boss-girls that are never scared, always lead and fix everything.
That's GW2 story telling. Every. Single. Time.
Rytlock is a strong male lead, as is Logan. My favourite characters are two kick-ass gents, Zalambur and Canach.
Canach is my favorite character by far!
My favorite GW2 character is Joko, then Canach. I don’t consider Logan a particularly strong character, but he isn’t a bad character most of the time.
Did we play the same guild wars 2? Because uh, that's not the case. At all, frankly.
