Ok im married with a family. One friday when men had gone to read jummah. I heard a scream outside my house i ran out to find a man running towards me with a hood and mask on. As i looked further ahead i saw a young lad old enuf to b my son. I asked him if hes ok only to find he had been stabbed in both legs and was bleeding profusely. I didnt think at the time hes not my mahram. My immediate reaction was stop the bleeding or hes gana die... so i ran inside locals came out to watch i grabbed the nearest thing i cud find a towel and wrapped it around hes leg. I didnt want to touch him as i was so scared i could see hes bone and flesh coming away with blood everywhere. He was in so much shock that he didnt know hed been stabbed more than twice. I told him hed been stabbed in both legs and tried making conversation to keep him conscious. The neighbour called emergency but the police turned up instead to interrogate him. Did i do wrong? My husband arrived moments later and he helped the lad sit down on the ground. I also worked in a supermarket part time job when i was studying at uni. My supervisor asked me to help a blind man do hes shopping as hes guard dog wasnt allowed into the premises. I had to allow him to hold my elbow. Both were not my choice but id hope if ever i was in that situation sum1 would do the same for me. But wats the islamic tek on this
Sister, first of all I'd like to start with saying that Islam is a practical religion. What you mentioned here, the nature of it, is that it's an emergency situation and not only that, your intentions were in the right place as it appears. Allah judges us based on our intentions regardless of what happens. Therefore, to my understanding, it is permissible. There are exceptions for rulings in Islam. For example, pork is haram, but if you fell in a circumstance where you have no choice and you have to eat it, you can; touching non-mahram women is not allowed, however, if she were in danger (i.e. drowning) then it is your duty to go save her. Sometimes we find ourselves in difficult positions where we do not know how to make the right choice in the moment and take a spontaneous action. If it's action that is wrong, then we ask for Allah's forgiveness as He is all forgiving. As long as your heart (intention) is in the right place and you make istigfar at the end, then it is all good. I do not know much, Allah knows the best, but I hope my answer has given you some sort of an idea. I do highly recommend that you ask from a more knowledgeable person and get a more satisfiable response! May Allah guide us all, ameen.

As far I know, it's permissible to see a lady before marriage. But the purpose should be just for the clarification whether you will choose the person as a partner or not. It will be Haram if you stare at her with another purpose.
If you want to marry a woman then you can look at her but only at the meeting when her father is there. You can't just stare at woman on the street to find a spouse.

Yes the phrase is to to "lower" the "gaze" but it just means to not look at what's attractive. If looking down is looking at what's attractive then look elsewhere just away from her body.
This is definitely not how I interpret that verse and yes I would definitely feel offended or more overlooked if a woman would lower her gaze on me if we were chatting as it would not feel like a right communication. What God means by "lower your gaze" is that we should not look lustfully at a woman's body when they bypass us or standing next to us but for christ sake not like this. He shouldn't look down at other attractive parts of course. He should just look away. That is lowering the gaze. Yes the phrase is to to "lower" the "gaze" but it just means to not look at what's attractive. If looking down is looking at what's attractive then look elsewhere just away from her body.

This is definitely not how I interpret that verse and yes I would definitely feel offended or more overlooked if a woman would lower her gaze on me if we were chatting as it would not feel like a right communication. What God means by "lower your gaze" is that we should not look lustfully at a woman's body when they bypass us or standing next to us but for christ sake not like this. I'm still gonna make female friends and still gonna laugh and tell jokes together and all that. Life is short and we should all enjoy it instead of confining ourselves.
