Damned well thinking about getting one of these now! Should be plenty decent for a work and home ride, and a learner for the woman. Though, I was thinking more on the fake Grom for that instead, especially since she's barely over 5 foot... 🤔

I know most are "Saddened" by this torture test, but this did the opposite for me, it gave me hope for Lifan as a company.
As he stated at the end, there are people who are genuinely considering this bike, but are genuinely curious how durable it is.
Now the reviews saying they've got 10 or 30K miles on it seem more believable. Sure, it's still not a Honda, but for Half the Price, not bad little Lifan, not bad at all....

@@noidontthinksolol you have a reasonable point, but we can also look at this at a different perspective. Actually there are other engines that are widely copied - i'm not a harley guy, but you know what i'm talking about - S&S and other big twin clones. Hell, they still copy updated versions of flatheads and knuckleheads! Chinese copies of Honda CG engines are quite simular - they made them bigger, added bells and whistles like counterbalancer (although, personally, i prefer non-balanced version), and this engine is still perfectly fits the market, where you need cheap, simple, torquey little thumper. It's all supply and demand thing after all.

Nonsense, I use to run Yamaha YZ 125 trail riding and racing, and I know how they work and what they do. Those days are over for me now, was thinking on something cheaper but strong tho. This guy just sold me these Lifan bikes via his testing. Cause I would never had thought of getting one of these bikes outside of my normal bike to putt around on if it wasn't for the testing. One of these bikes may be worth the buy now I see what they can do. Now I know I can take care of it, and it still can run..

Lifan is a known manufacturer in south east asia, their engine I won't say could run side by side with Honda's quality and durability... But we use em for racing or just an engine swap because it is that good. What is intriguing me on this video is.... How tough it is...even tougher than I thought and that makes a huge difference for most people that doesn't even know how good those engines are. Thanks for making this video 🙏🙏😉

In all cases, cheap chinese motors are knockoffs of famous, long lasting motors from elsewhere (most are Hondas).
Most of the time, breaking down the engine and replacing all gaskets and the carb with the Honda gaskets/carb for the original motor it is copied from ensures the motor will run like a tank forever.... that goes for motorcycles, generators, trash pumps, etc.

Now please do that stuff (all of it) to a new Harley. That would be really interesting!!! Honestly I'll tell you right now if I drained the oil from my Katana and left it running for that amount of time before adding more, I'd be real surprised if it survived, and if it did it would never be the same again.

@@timsretirementjourney8323 running that long without oil is a test any bike would struggle with. I personally dont like Harley's too much because I prefer dual sports, but they do look and sound great. I know a lot of people that dont like the idea of a 470 lb dirtbike with handlebars as tall as a small car, but i love it. My klr is as comfortable on road as it is on a dirt trail, the only thing I would want is it too be a little lighter.

It doesn't even drip oil like my 1971 Triumph used to.. Use Mobil1 4T oil, swapped coolant for a familiar brand (Honda) and will replace the chain next week. If it breaks I can even repair it myself. Great vid! Changing the oil like that was brutal however...

In Italy too, but the ones around these days are crap. Up until middle of the '90 decade, we had no power limitation on them and at 16 you could drive a 2 stroke 35HP, 190km/h nearly racing-ready bike like the Cagiva Mito or the Aprilia Extrema (this www.dueruote.it/content/dam/dueruote/it/foto/moto-scooter/2019/03/19/cagiva-mito-125/gallery/rbig/cagiva-mito31.jpg and this 125stradali.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/extrema_sideon.jpg ). I had an NSR in 1992, a bit less powerful (still 30HP) but more confortable: www.motociclismo.it/files/galleries/6/1/8/6189/B_NSR%20125%20R%201993.jpg
