How to Make INTERACTIVE Google Slides (All the Basics & Then Some!)

- In this tutorial, you will learn how to make interactive Google Slides for your students. This is like a hyperdoc in Google Slides. Include videos, links, images. Link assessments from Google Forms and direct links to assignment in Google Classroom. Learn how to make a table of contents that directly links to other slides and so much more!

This has been such a great video with step by step instruction that is easy to follow. I am almost done with my google slides for the first two weeks of school. Mac users can make transparent background PNG images with the magic wand tool in preview. Something else I would also add is that if you select the empty master slide once I believe it should use it for future slides so you don't need to delete the text boxes on new slides

Thank you so much! I’m not even a teacher and my son and I learned so much on this video. It gave us ideas on how he will present his homework where he’ll use google slides to present it! Loving learning how to use Google Slides as an interactive activity. However, in presentation mode, when I click any where on the slide (not on the hyperlink), the slide will just go to the next following slide. How can I "lock" the rest of the slide and only the hyperlinks can be clicked? What am I not doing? Help!

I have always wanted to be able to add audio clips to slides and Vocaroo seems to be a great tool to achieve that purpose. Now that I know about Vocaroo, I am hoping to use it to create a Google Slides High-Frequency Word practice for my students who need extra assistance. I'm flabbergasted. Stopped at 23:39 to let my old, non-technical brains assimilate. Envy your students! You have to be the best teacher in your district!
Very nifty video. Always looking for new ideas (though I don't teach in school). I did not know to double click the outline to crop -- very handy!
A couple of suggestions:
1. Why not just add text directly to the shape rather than having to manage a separate text box on top of the shape? You can still format the text as you would in a text box, but it's in a single place now.
2. When you first create the presentation, change the layout of the slide to Blank. Then you have an empty slide, and when you add a new slide, it uses the same layout so you don't have to constantly delete the boxes.

Thanks for this. Nerdy questions:
1) You said you don’t expect students to watch in presentation mode. Is there a tech reason for that? What I started doing was using the “Publish” feature and sharing the link to the presentation, in which case it is automatically in present mode, allowing animations, transitions, etc. Are there features like playing audio or video that don’t work if you do this?
2) The Extensis fonts workaround you showed... Do you know if your audience needs those fonts in their Google account to see the fonts you chose? Or is it universally accessible once in Google Slides?

2. There is now a slides add on for extensis fonts, but the viewer does not need it to see the fonts!
