I absolutely love that the kids helped with the pond, not only is it giving them experience with work, but they will appreciate that pond more, love it more than they already wouldve, and someday when they have kids they can say "You know that pond in the aviary at grandma and grandpas? Yeah I helped build it!" I personally think thats really freakin cool at least. I can't wait to see it finished and to see the aviary finished with all the birds flying and/or running around!!! 😍

The smiles on the boys his face is so precious and unforgettable. I know this whole family has worked very hard for this day/days to come together but I think it’s even amazing that these men didn’t worry about lawsuits, didn’t worry about “you’re in my Way, kid “… don’t be slowing me down cause I got a big job to do”/attitude, but instead, these workers embraced the joy in these boys, his hearts, and allow them to be a part of what was going on. I just want to give a shout out to all of these contractors for having the sensitivity and kindness to allow these young boys to be a part of this big excavation project and they will never forget it. I know this because I helped my father and my grandfather when I was very little build a new home for our family of 14. My sisters and I still talk about that day/year and it was a huge moment when we finally tore down that 110 year old house and we finally had running water and so many other things that we had been without and we all helped Daddy & Grandpa make Daddy & Mom’s dreams finally come true.. Everybody is so worried about lawsuits and the big dollar that they overlook what’s really important and I just think these contractors were awesome to not get hung up in all of that. God bless you guys and thank you mom and dad for letting them be kids down there in that water is it came in and not tell him to get out of there and you’re in the way either. So many parents would’ve done that and I just love all of you for not stressing about things it just don’t matter. I am tearing up as I type this to you guys. I have spent the last eight months in the hospital over some weird things that have happened to me Plus I am a cancer survivor but fighter because I wouldn’t oncologist it to me and I’m just telling you things are just not important when it comes to stress and rules and and all of this legality issues that everybody’s worried about and I just can’t say enough how really awesome these contractors were to allow these kids to be a part of the process. Kudos to all of you and God bless you. Can’t wait to see it completely finished with the birds happily in their new home❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️

Continued… I’d also like to acknowledge the young man that was with one of the crews~ I have no idea which crew he was with but in this video, there is a point where he takes over the job of kicking gravel backwards, and it clearly is a challenging job. But the older person was clearly getting tired doing it and he stepped in and he just started kicking his feet in that gravel And moving it so fast, and I was amazed because I know in landscaping certain things are harder than others. People who have never lifted up gravel have no clue how hard that was and my father work in concrete and landscaping both and it truly is a Lotta hard work, but he did it till the day he died and I just want a Plaza showman for the string and he is Les and the willingness to help somebody else out instead of standing around and letting somebody else do the job. You did an awesome job and I know personally it was not easy to do that. You clearly have a lot of strength in your legs and you also have a very very good work ethic, good job😊❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️

Let me first say how impressed I am with Eli and his dedication in helping with the pond build. I know your other children were also working hard and helping were they could. But, watching Eli grow and continuously take on more responsibility is so impressive. 👏👏👏👏 This is all so exciting, I can hardly wait for the completion of this project. ❤❤❤❤

I am so excited for all of you to get this pond filled up. It is very fun for me as a viewer to watch the videos, they have to be doubly exciting for your family to finally get this pond dug and filled.😊❣️❣️ a shout out to the team from Des Moines, Iowa as I have family in that area and also I lived in Kansas & spent a lot of time in KC, Missouri, eating and shopping, on my way up to Iowa where my family lived.
It was so awesome seeing your oldest boy helping, and his smile was so big as he handed things to the worker !! he has grown up so quickly.… as have the other children. My grandmother said don’t wish your days away because the next thing you know you’re way older than you wanted to be and so are your children. And I remember when to these children were just babies, but now they’re grown up and helping you with all your projects around the farm. Love your channel and can’t wait to see the Pond filled❣️❣️❣️❣️

So cool that all three boys were pitching in and helping, particularly Eli. That's going to be a memory that will last a lifetime for them and give them practical skills. I remember working different farms in the vicinity of my grandparents' farm here in North Dakota... I got farmed out, you could say. But it gave me a lot of experience to take into my life now as a self-sustaining homestead.

When y'all started your pond build, awhile back, I thought "Oh man, do y'all ever need Aquascape!" I am thrilled for your whole family. I know it's primarily intended for the ducks and geese, but there will be lots of fun at the swimming hole for two-legged, too!!!

My mom wanted a pond in our yard, unfortunately it was either too small or my mom changed her mind. It was usually the second one. We did a dry river at both the old house, where I grew up in and the new house where I visit. We'd get the "pond" when it rained, but after it stopped raining and drained into the garden, the dry river was nice too.

This pond is easily 100k. I priced out a 500 gallon pond and it was 20k

So the lining below acts as "fake mud" because it's not a natural lake in the beginning, correct?
Very interesting because some places just didn't bothered and poured concrete. And love to see your water recycling feature (from pond back to waterfall?) that will save a ton in the future and maintaining the lake natural yet active at the same time!

It’s killing me waiting for the next update haha! Been following your page for this aviary build since the first poles went in! Obviously since then have watched all your other videos.
