I remember being at this game with my dad and brothers. Didn’t matter how bitter cold it was, seeing all the Missouri fans leaving after the 4th quarter made it all worth while! Amazing day Boomer Sooner
Something else was happening that game as well. OU was infamous for lining up and having a play off in just a few seconds and it being missed by the cameras because ESPN was trying to show the last play's replay. IIRC in the Florida game, they put up a timer to show off how fast OU would get the snap off after each play, but for whatever reason, OU was being slow as shit to snap the ball. I think Florida was very well prepared for that high speed offense, and it was throwing Bradford and our Offensive Coaches off, instead of being able to walk out and just take advantage of the slower defenses we faced.
@@jimlthor They just didn't play their style. When they played with tempo they marched up & down the field. They just didn't stick with it like usual. And seemed to forget Gresham was on the team in the 2nd half. OU beat themselves.
big time. he was by far our most dynamic weapon. i think if he plays OU def has a better chance and the game ends up being much higher scoring on both sides as the tempo goes up
Missouri used to find themselves in a "spoiler" role a lot, kind of like Auburn these days. I kind of wish they were still in the Big 12, that was fun for college football.
Year after year Oklahoma is one of the most exciting teams. Been a while since they won the national championship. They seem to be just out of sync at the most importune time like when they lost the Rose Bowl to Georgia. I sure thought Oklahoma was going all the way.

This was the 5th straight 60 pt game for Oklahoma. Florida holding them to 14 pts as amazing. And underrated
This Oklahoma team is far in away better than any Oklahoma team of the late 2010s they would have beat Florida with Damarco Murry
