Lucy was arguing how innocent they were to the sergeant. and told him, my husband is Ricky Ricardo the famous orchestra leader. and then Ethel was about to scream out who her husband Fred, was. Ethel stopped herself and realized Fred was an old broking down landlord that nobody knew. and Ethel said, her husband is Ricky Ricardo the famous orchestra leader. 🤣😂🤣 Ricky had the clout and status. Fred had the potbelly. 🤣😂🤣
@@paules3437 Lucy was reading a mystery novel out loud and Ricky was sitting next to her on the couch. At an intense moment in the novel the doorbell rang (buzzed) and scared them. ( it was the Mertzes) The book flew in the air and fell on the floor. Ricky picked it up and tossed it to Lucy which missed and hit her in the eye. It immediately gave her a black eye. Ethel and Fred even said no one really believes the story of a black eye. They thought Ricky hit her. Rickey felt bad and had Fred go to the florist and send Lucy flowers for him......and Fred made the mistake of signing the card from him. He tried to stop it but it was too late. Fred tried to take the card out of the box and "fix it" but had to hide in the closet because Ethel was trying to look inside as well. Ethel got mad at Lucy and left...... As it turned out Ethel had gotten a black eye from Fred doing the same thing and Lucy and RIcky did not believe her. But it ended with them all laughing on the couch at the whole thing.
@@paules3437 the neighbors heard lucy and ricky reading a novel out loud so they thought that they were fighting, which was confirmed by lucy's black eye , later ethel refused to believe the truth so lucy decided to humor her and told her that ricky hit her because she had a secret lover
I love that back in the day you bought your purchases and they were wrapped up in boxes and that the flowers came in a box with a huge bow
