Kratz's question about coming up with the Dodgers question got me thinking about which players have came up with the team after being drafted and STILL are on the roster, but also which have been there for awhile. There's Clayton Kershaw, Walker Buehler, and Will Smith. Everyone else you need more time to see how it affects them. So it makes me wonder: does it seem like it kept them for striving for greatness? I don't think much needs to be said about Kersh. Walker has been someone who consistently stepped up in the post-season and I hope he comes back and figures things out eventually since he won't be the same. And Smith just seems to be getting better and better at the plate. So for those three, I don't think the environment hindered their drive to work hard. But we'll have to see for the rest if they stay with the org for a long time.
I wonder if part of Ohtani's pitch to Glasnow for him to come to the Dodgers was saying something like "I can't hit homeruns off of you if you play for us."
I hope that when Shohei breaks Roberts' record, they come up with a sweet commemoration for the ball, both being born in Japan. Brothers from a different mother.
Perhaps it's that Japanese culture keep loading responsibilities onto Mr. Yamamoto early on in life. Therefore, Mr. Yamamoto mature early than at his present age.?
After that disaster last night, somebody better weak Roberts up. The weakest lineup that could have drawn up last night. Wonder why the LAD got abused by Cincy? Disgraceful. Roberts is being so nice, making sure guys hitting .150 or less get some more opportunities to strike out.
