Sharing a meal really is an excellent bridge for the interview style video! It makes conversation and stories happen naturally, even if it is Americanized Chinese food 🍚
I like that Andy described Panda Express as fast food; it's actually good fast food instead of crappy Chinese food. I actually saw a video once where a bunch of old Chinese immigrants and their American grandkids tried PE, and the American-born-Chinese twenty-somethings were just comparing it to homemade Chinese food, talked about how it was nothing like _real_ Chinese food, and how terrible it was to have so much sugar and salt and fried everything and no soup. But the old people were like, "This is great! I mean, the food's okay, some of it's actually good, and the service is so fast! I'll probably go here whenever I don't feel like cooking from now on. Is it anything like Chinese food? Of course not, but this isn't China, why would it be?"
That video also left an impression on me lol. It was the first time I realized some of us young or first Gen kids sometimes complain a little too much and we just need to chill and enjoy what’s in front of us 😂

Panda Express is actually the fast-food version of it's parent restaurant, Panda Inn, which is an amazing Chinese restaurant chain with locations in Southern California. This is why it's called, "Express". 🙂
If you really look at it, they put it in there after because when there is the close shot to the left side you can tell it isnt a J as the first letter.

Meanwhile, Ollie couldn’t take his not-as-handsome-as-Josh counter roast. Ollie, you are good-looking, too. Your smile brightens up the world. Count the blessings! ❤❤❤

If you're still wondering about the name, there was (and still is) a small chain of Chinese restaurants in SoCal called Panda Inn. The owners opened a quick-serve mall food court location that they called Panda Express, which then took off from there.
