The lodge looked really spacious! It is very nicely designed, and it has all the amenities you need. Seeing people peaking in my windows would really bother me. Otherwise, it looks pretty amazing!
We agreed, not the best for privacy but we were out most of the time and as we were there for only 4 days, not a massive issue for us, especially at the price we paid. Real good of you to watch and comment Eric, cheers Alan

Hi Alan, a beautiful lodge with all the mod cons. It's a shame you felt you were in a fish bowl. It's not relaxing having people walking right past your windows at night. That aside, everything else looked wonderful. Nice little patio area. Sounds like there are lovely walks nearby, for all levels. Oh dear, the weather was a bit rough! We were lucky with the weather this time but the last time we were there with the family we had 5 days of none stop rain and man was it cold. A real good base to explore the Northern lakes and some great walks nearby, something to suit everyone too. Appreciate you stopping by, cheers Alan

Looks like a nice base for some lovely hikes and adventures. Wouldn’t take long to touch up a few little things to make it better but maybe they don’t know because the cleaners don’t let them know. This lodge looked lovely and perfect for 2. I liked the patio outside, agree with you about the coat hooks and about how close you are to people walking by the window, it would be good to have more privacy... Its a lovely lodge with everything you would need and nice that they included a dishwasher too. Probably wise to get one with the hot tub to get more privacy though like you said :) Its great being so close to Keswick though and the rooms all looked good, shame your nice bedroom faced another lodge. I'm a little behind, I've been on the road for three weeks, but I'll make up for it👍 The lodge is beautiful, the only thing is to have the curtains drawn all the time so that it doesn't look like a shop window 😄😊

Wow the place looks spotless. Can imagine you get cracking views of the night sky from that terrace. Yikes those glasses would be in trouble. I always pack plastic beakers when on my hols. I’m not good with glasses on my holidays, can guarantee one or two would be getting accidentally knocked over! Very comfortable looking living room. I quite like being looked in at but like you say it’s a temporary thing, a view of a stream would be preferable. Some great walks on your doorstep. Looks lovely last year decked out for Xmas. Really impressed with the cleanliness, some minor grouting issues. The neighbours would be getting an eyeful of me in my thermal long johns, which I tend to live in after a long day walking in the fells. Like you say easy fixes, guess they only do them once a year. Good tip re the buses. Will check out the prices. 👍
The prices are pretty fair to be honest and if you book in advance you can usually book with only a £25 deposit. Despite some of the weather we have had the lodge is always very comfortable as is the beds they have there, so we will be back again, just wish you could guarantee 5 days of warm sunny weather in advance too. @@AlanMETALMAN yeah I did a few nights stay at different times and they were coming out at some pleasing prices. Travelodge are no longer competitive and the luxury here is much better. I loved your vid from here last crimbo. I fancy a similar trip, might be on the cards, thank you Alan. Good review Alan. As for the lodges overlooking each other, it's a bit like modern house builders where they squeeze as many houses onto a site as possible to make as much money as possible. It still looked a good place to stay though.

Alan, I think that's were we are booked in for next May. We had a hot tub booked for sept but when we had to move we dropped the idea. I must check on the laptop what lodge type we've got. It all looked good to me, and you tidied it up nicely!! Didn't like the roadway either but cars have to get in and out. Do you know if Tesco can deliver to your lodge door? Regards, Ashley
Unsure about the Tesco delivery but when you check in the girls are a mine of information and very helpful. The hot tubs are great and if you have the spare brass I would get one and what a great way to easy those aching limbs after a hard day on the Fells.
