I know what you mean. They look bleak sometimes but I wonder if that’s because the residents are not as established. Maybe in ten years the gardens will be fuller.
What could be more perfect than having a ground floor bedroom, with a walk in closet and attached bathroom. This guy has got everything a person needs, even a corner office and a good size porch. Perfect.

A usable front porch is a must. It is, in essence, the main living room. I live on an island in the Mediterranean and life takes place outside here. Most homes are too big. There are areas of my house that I hardly ever go into. For me, that porch is the best thing about this house.😊

It’s remarkable how things come together. What a beautiful and grand tiny home! I have a 425 sf home that I rent to university students. The sofa side table is a 1” x 4” pine board cut to 30” length and mounted to the wall on l-shaped brackets. This is also a perfect bedside table.
Finally a tiny house with the perfect size kitchen, I have seen too many tiny houses with regular house size kitchens that take up too much living space, the only thing I would change is for more counter space replace the four burner stove what a two burner unit to allow for more counter space.
You need an island for extra storage and prep work, maybe? As well, a development like this needs a shed for each unit where you can store bikes etc. as well as communal covered outdoor bbq and gathering area would be nice. Retirees could not handle that ladder though😂

This is the second video I’ve seen featuring this community. I envy the actual sense of community. In my neighborhood, garages are attached to the front of homes for the most part so people drive in, close their garage door and enter their home from their garage, just as Rich described. No one speaks to anyone else. Now that I’m retired and home all day I make a point to say hello to my neighbors if they are out when I walk our dog. Most just give me a blank stare. It’s creepy. Hopefully I won’t have to rely on them someday because I don’t see how I possibly could.
Thank Goodnees; Finally, good looking small / tiny houses. PS SimPure: Teflon tape is not needed on gasketed compression fittings. The rubber O ring seals the water in rather than the threads.
For a 250 sq ft house, $112,000 is a lot of money. I remember when tiny houses this small were $10,000 but everything costs more with inflation. The main thing is he is very happy with his home.
Very nice community. The house would probably look a little bit more cozy and appealing if it had an accent wall, or if the walls were not all stark white. Unfortunate that the picture window near the refrigerator has less than a 36 inch rise. If the bottom window height were raised to 36 inches or more, a pull up breakfast bar could be added that could seat two people (and they would be able to look out the window), and also serve as a prep space (game area etc.). He enjoys eating outside though, and is very happy with what works for him. He’s correct about public transport, and how neighbors do not interact anymore. All the best to him 👍🏼
What a beautiful little house and the setting looks like such a peaceful and serene community! I love it! The only thing about the house that I would change is the bedroom. It seems like making the bed would be like going to the gym! I has to be a challenge. Could use a bit more space for that area. Otherwise, it seems perfect to me!
@@serenakoleno9338 In the bedroom area, I would swap the bed out for a sleeper sofa and use it as a living room during the day and a bedroom at night.
Exactly. I don't want to get on my hands and knees to make the bed. I want walking space on 3 sides. I would also want space for a bedside table for a lamp and a clock.
I had the same exact piece of furniture - with the two stools and the one rounded side that lifted up. I loved it!! Thing is - that was when we lived in Europe.. three houses ago. 😉
I would love to live like this now I'm on my own, if you think about it this is all you need if you live alone. Its like a little community, I love it.

This is what I envision when we downsize. Recently, I’ve been taking stock of our daily life and realized we really do not need as much space and stuff after all. There are only a few things we need on a daily basis. If we get rid of all the things we have not used in at least three years, we could move to a house a third of the size where we live now (and we live in a reasonably sized house at 1800 sq.ft.). One suggestion: if you swap out your hangers for those thin velvet-coated ones, you’ll fit even more hanging clothes in your closet.
I am amazed he is able to live in that small a living quarters. He keeps it very sparsely furnished. I used to live in a 350sf studio apartment. It was not easy, but I can see that it is doable. I would probably use the storage in that loft a lot more.
I love the concept of the tiny cottage community. The porch is amazing. The color is great. BUT the inside was VERY disappointing. I feel like they could have done so much more with the space/the layout.

OMG this is beautiful. If someone owns land they should really consider this type of living. Start a tiny community, charge for a piece of land so people can build a tiny home. Everyone can look out for each other. It's also easy to maintain...Very nice and Thank you for sharing....XO
I am very impressed. Looks great. The community looks good too. I hope you are very happy there. I am 77 and live in Australia.
That looks like it would be a nice place to live as long as you liked your neighbors.
For a 250 sq ft house, $112,000 is a lot of money. I remember when tiny houses this small were $10,000 but everything costs more with inflation. The main thing is he is very happy with his home.
The appliances, A/c, etc are more then 10K
He owns his lot and has almost no utility bills.
I figured about 25000 dollars at most maybe more for solar panels but all in all you paid to much
Being happy with one's home is priceless.
All the best to him 👍🏼
The size is good however like others are saying the windows could have been higher to allow more kitchen. Love the laundry closet.
You can see that the windows cannot be higher because of the pitch of the roof.
@@katella ok, try making them smaller in size. This looks like the layout to a house plans I had looked at. The windows were shorter. ✌️
I love this community concept we need this up here in virginia. Especially around the Lynchburg area
It's so practical in many ways 🙂
Happy to see a tiny house that its not on a trailer. Love these gorgeous cottages.
Your house looks great. Congratulations.
If you don't need a queen size you could easily access a twin bed.
@@serenakoleno9338 In the bedroom area, I would swap the bed out for a sleeper sofa and use it as a living room during the day and a bedroom at night.
@@stevenalexander4721 Having done it before, sleeper sofas aren't all that comfortable to sleep on regularly, especially when you get older.
Exactly. I don't want to get on my hands and knees to make the bed. I want walking space on 3 sides. I would also want space for a bedside table for a lamp and a clock.
❤ what a nice little house
Beautiful! This is how it should be.
It's a perfect Basic home 👍👍👍
That was a great video. I hope you'll be able to show other houses in that community.
Love the porch, the community and so much attention to detail. I can't imagine living in a 2,000 sf or larger!
OH my! I would love to live in this little community!!! It will be so much fun.
I love this tiny house, especially the porch.
Love this community so cool!!! This is a great concept for our housing shortage we need more of these!! Thank you for sharing!
I had the same exact piece of furniture - with the two stools and the one rounded side that lifted up. I loved it!! Thing is - that was when we lived in Europe.. three houses ago. 😉
I love the concept of this tiny home community but I could never live in a tiny house this tiny!!
You could sleep w/ your head towards the window and put a small bedside table in front of the window, with a small lamp and room for a drink of water.
What a beautiful and cozy ...cute and sweet ...tiny home..Love it.🏠
Your home and community is truly beautiful,, you’re all blessed to have found this amazing place. Good Luck,, I truly love it!!!❤❤
Awesome tiny house!! Could you have a small noghtstand if you flipped the head of your bed? Just a thought:)
I would love to live like this now I'm on my own, if you think about it this is all you need if you live alone. Its like a little community, I love it.
wow for a 250 sqt. house he really has a lot going in it. he nailed the bathroom there is more room in it than in some bigger ones..(his is bigger and layed out better than mine and I live in a reg. 1100 sqt house..well i now I am a little jealous :) ). he's got a closet, washer and dryer, couch and office space.. the kitchen is small but with one person no need to cook big meals.. i really like this one..
I’ve always wanted to see the smallest house! So glad to see a tour! It’s perfect 😊
We definitely need these communities here in Canada as well I love your's and your Tiny Home love the beautiful deck, the layout of your home main floor bedroom is what Id want at my age i am 65. the bathroom , kitchen sitting area 's are perfect Your blessed . community fire pit I feel is an awesome idea nice area to meet your immediate neighbours for a get together around the gardens, edible and non edible . The various colours of the homes I also love , their bright and give that homey friendly feel . A place I would love to live, ID feel safe further Id feel like I was living in a country area , ( I hate concrete jungles ). Keep doing what you're doing Rich
What a nice place to live
I love that it has a washer and dryer!
Great tip! Love to hear about introspection 😊✨
Please feature more of these cottage houses.
Thank you for letting us know the color!
Love thr tiny house ❤
Great home! Thanks for sharing.
I love this,seems truly peaceful.
