You are correct! @@Naija4K There seems to be multiple strains of Cassava in the continent, but the one in Ghana grows quicker due to genetic modification. From my discussion, it was a likely an Institution or University there that modified a common stable strain. They probably crossed it outside of its species, or simply modified the genes without crossing.
