When you peel off a whole piece of cassava skin, do not throw away, use them by peel off the outer skin, wash it clean and let it dry out from the sun. Then deep fry them as cassava chips, you can eat it or sell them the dried out cassava to tell them to fry themselves for cassava chips.
I used to live in West Borneo, Indonesian. We don’t throw them away the cassava skins ( we use both the cassava meat and skins). Please try them it’s fun!

Apart from getting more seedlings, what are the advantages of this method over the traditional system of planting please?

It promote faster growth and development while shortening the life span.

Must it be transplanted on ridges, can one just dig a whole the way you dig on plain ground for transplating

@ebiobo, planting cassava sticks/seedlings in ridges or even heaps(earth mounds), assist in accelerating growth as the roots easily penetrate the soil.

Why do you plant in the seed bed nursery first. Why don’t you just plant directly into the farm? This seems like double work

For proper care (watering) before transplanting to the main field.
There is no irrigation system at the main field but at the nursery, all control systems are there that why.

Now that I have seen the transplanting process, please tell me about the yield. How good is it compared to the usual local method we use?
