For computer haters: Edirol by Roland PCR-300, PCR-500 and PCR-800 are fully programmable without a computer, unlike the (Cakewalk by) Roland A-300PRO, A-500PRO and A-800PRO.
1. The keys are full-sized (not mini keys), but both the white and black keys are slightly shorter than average, and the black keys are slightly narrower than average. 2. Yes, you can use it to control sound modules.
Its possible to install the drivers of windows 8 in windows 10 with a litle tweak on the .inf file that comes with those drivers. Let me know if you need the details.

I haven't used it but it seems pretty nice - lots of knobs and faders and buttons.. I also have an emu xboard and an m-audio oxygen8 so I have 25, 49, 61 keys along with 5 vintage synths because I'm a gear acquisition syndrome sufferer - maybe you bought already@@c.b5617

I would like to know how to program the pads of Roland pcr800 controller. You need to use the midi cable? and which program to use?
You need to use Edit mode to make MIDI message assignments.
Alternatively, you can make these assignments via USB using PCR Editor program.
