Jimin didn’t outshine because this is Taeyang’s song - that would be disrespectful. Jimin has looked up to Taeyang as his Idol for years! This was beautifully balanced between the two; only they would’ve been able to pull this off…just magical! Jimin, my ultimate bias, is a masterpiece no one can top (in my eyes) but Taeyang is gorgeous and a beautiful singer. Everyone won, I think!🔥👼🏻💜
I agree. The song is very well balanced. Neither one outshines the other, which I love. I think that shows a level of talent in both of them that most don't realize. I have heard/seen a number of comment along this line and my thought has been that this is Taeyang's solo and Jimin's feature and honest, for a feature, Jimin has a huge part in the song. I think the song shows respect of two legends for each other and love the whole song. Taeyang, who I wasn't familiar with until I heard about the collab kills it, and Jimin (who is my bias) does as well. A beautiful collaboration, one of the very best I've heard/seen.

Stay safe there. You said Taeyangs name perfectly.. He's been the lead singer of Bigbang since the beginning 2006. Taeyang has multiple solo outing as well as duos.. He and Jimin complement each other well. Best of all they seemed to have a great time, hence the vibe... From what I read Jimin came up admiring Taeyang as a performer and person. It's cool they took Teddy Parks advice and sang this song, their voices are a beautiful blend. This is the first I have heard Jimins voice, it's lovely and he has mad technical skills.. Since you mentioned you didn't know much about Taeyang, yes he's member of BigBang. I think pronounced "tae-yah-ng" with an open vowel A maybe? They've been in the industry for about 14/15 years already; (34 yr) He's married, has a wife and child(ren) too believe? I don't know much about them either I just know BigBang was a very legendary kpop group and Jimin has said he admired him a lot as a smaller idol back in the days. There's lots of BangTan Bombs of jm and bts dancing to his songs like Wedding Dress, Eyes Nose Lips, and just BigBang music in general. He truly was his idol, and now he's gotten to work with him. This is very legendary because the most legendary kpop boy group members in one song was so unexpected! And as you watch Taeyang dance in the beginning there, you notice little bit of inspo Jimin has taken from his along with a little bit of Taemin, right? Known to be sensual and smooth dancers!

As for the song/MV, I really like this! I don't stan BB, but Taeyang is very charismatic, he immediately pulled me in with that look he does to the camera, similar to what Jm does, huh? 😂The chorus is so freaking catchy and the choreography fits so well! It's a nice mixture of pop, maybe r&b, very groovy &funky, but their complete opposite styles fit this song like a puzzle. Very satisfied with the release! I saw another reaction to this saying Jimin wasn't trying to come off too flashy, and dance his heart out for the sake of respecting it's not his song, he's only a featured artist and this is his way of "preserving his sexy" for what's to come in his album that will drop this year ! Feels like a preview of what's yet to come from PJM1 this year💜 (HYBE briefing has confirmed maknae-line + Suga's albums to drop this year btw) !! Thank you for another relatable reaction!

Taeyang means Sun , he is main dancer and vocalist in BigBang. I think the other person you were thinking about is Taemin of Shinee . If you decide to explore more BigBang I recomend you go to Dorian Gray chanel and watch them perform at MAMA Awards 2010, 2014 . That chanel has great videos with live performances with english sub and explanation of the word play. MAMA 2015 was amazing too . You can see the guys (all) singing to Eyes, Nose, Lips on repeat. You can see the maknae line singing Taeyang songs anywhere, everywhere. (I mean early clips so 2013-2015 tops)
