I do agree with your explanation of the conditions under which "must" is to be used. However, I would maintain that "may" and "might" are far more interchangeable than you suggest. You state that "might" should be used in referring to past possibilities, but your examples use "might" in a future tense manner: "It might rain today (or tomorrow). In that example, "may" would be equally correct. Also, "may" would likely be regarded as the more polite choice in requesting permission: "May I help you?" So, in summary, I would maintain that either could be correct in expressing a possibility, and "may" would be the preferred choice in requesting permission.
