Robin Harris is the comedian. The bit was about him trying to court this girl who had bunch of bad ass kids. 'We don't die, we multiply' is a reference to the fact that there seemed to be more of them everytime he saw her.
It was actually a friend of the girl he was trying to date kids. The girl he liked only had one child that was actually a good kid. I am actually old enough to remember the movie. LOL
why would they die?
What made the joke funnier is the fact that "we don't die, we multiply" is actually a very old and timeless black phrase referencing the resilience of the black community, so a group of bad ass kids referencing it in that context is really funny.
“We don’t die, we multiply” is a reference to the gangs in LA. Bloods.
@@buckyjr710 It's not though
Of course Arin figured the uppercut when Dan couldn't. He's the videogame boy.
He's the one that dislikes mainstream games.
But he still lost
@@gene4438 not much wrong with not liking main stream games. Main stream games are a lot of time overrated anyways.
@@ferrisfamilygaming3876 well they couldn't be underrated could they.
Honwell stfu
Fun fact: the guy who directed the film (Bruce W. Smith) later went on to work for Disney in films such as Tarzan (be animated Kerchak) and The Princess and the Frog (he animated Dr. Facilier). He’s even the creator of The Proud Family so most of the influence from Bébé’s Kids can be found in the show!
Also the fact that this is the same guy behind that one meme from The Emperor’s New Groove (you know the one).
"No Bevis"
_"Man, butthead, this sucks!"_
Oh hey. The very next game produced by Radical was Beavis and Butthead. No bevis indeed.
Oh
Hey
That’s informational and a fun fact.
Too bad duck life was just a better game
Looked up a speedrun out of curiosity. This game took under 10 minutes with no glitches. It's just this. Like punch guys until you can get to the end, then walk to the end, and there are like 8 levels.
Just watched it. He smacked those jars/bowls like an absolute monster
Zachariah and the Invisibles
No fine china is safe
What about the haunted house maze?
I love knowing I'm not the only one who looks up speedruns to contradict the Game Grumps (I started with Sonic 1.)

"Imma beat the black outta of ya"
@@Naruto_from_the_Naruto_show my other favorite line is where Robin is talking about his ex-wife "I remember the day we got married, she wore corduroy pants. Sounded like a choo-choo train coming down the aisle."

This game is frequently in Top 10 Worst SNES Games list, and pretty frequently in the top 3
TheSystemIsFlawed Is this shit SNES? Geez, looks like NES game and not a good one
Never heard of an amusement park with strict laws against Cornholio.
MontyEggman Never underestimate the power of the almighty bunghole.
Out of all the games Danny gets to play that isn't becoming a series
BEBE'S KIDS IS ONE OF THEM
We don't die! We multiply!
Noble Kidd Saw this as a kid, it was entertaining...but a lot of it just didn't make sense. Didn't even know they made a game. Of course back in the day , anything that made any kind of money they made a game out of.

Battle of Olympus is one of by all time Favorite NES games, I can't believe how far they fell in quality between that and Bebe's Kids it's magically insane
Y’all NEEED to watch Bebe’s Kids, I know Dan would love it so much 😂😂 it’s like a black staple.
I had a hard time watching through this video. What an adventure this was.
Chillin
Danny's explosive exasperation when the game kicked him back to the first screen resonated with my soul.
I’m the whitest white to ever white, and yet somehow I watched “bebe’s kids” MULTIPLE TIMES as a child in the early 90’s on VHS. And I loved it for some reason. I never owned it, but I would pick it out at blockbuster often. To be fair, my parents let me watch a lot of stuff kids shouldn’t be watching. I also haven’t watched it since I was a a kid, but I remember it being so strange it was kind a awesome.
Wow, Dan sure know's his Bebe's kids lore
But he doesn't
Don't anger the hardcore Bebe's Kids fanbase. There are tens of us. TENS!
Tone Loc was in the movie right? He was also in the masterpiece, “Blank Check.” Get him on Guest Grumps.
Don't forget the first Ace Ventura movie!
The fuck is he talking about I loved Bebe's kids it was a big part of my childhood I never met anyone who didn't like it or still talk about it... But I'm black and from the hood so lol that's probably why 😂 that movie a classic in the hood
Gregory Higginbotham jr Considering this movie and game was made by white people desperately trying to pander to your demographic for a quick buck in an attempt to seem “hip” and “cool”, I probably wouldn’t be proud of this.
That don't mean it wasn't a good movie and apart of my childhood and you telling me things I already know. Just because it was made by greedy white men don't mean it's part of the movement it's just a funny kids movie it's not historical of effects nothing I just like the movie when I was a kid it's not that deep
Gregory Higginbotham jr Hey that’s fine, just saying. Maybe I’m barking up the wrong tree, but being part of a minority myself, I really don’t enjoy having higher-ups try to take advantage of my culture in order to seem like they give a shit about us. But eh, that’s just me. If you enjoy this, then more power to you. I am in no way, shape or form trying to take your enjoyment away. Sorry if it seemed like that’s what I was trying to do.
gothicMCRgirl it's cool I understand what you mean don't get me wrong, plus I'm a Black man trust me I get it.
I saw this when I was 7 at my daycare. The story was about the Comedian trying to hook up with a woman named Bebe, and her kids don't like him. She likes a man that's good with kids, so he decides to take them all to the amusement park and shenanigans ensue. The baby wrecks a china shop, and eventually Park Security pick them up. For some reason, there are animatronic judges there, and the kids get out of punishment with a musical number. It's been 17 years, so I don't remember everything. But the kids do eventually like him and he gets bebe at the end.
Slight correction, Bebe never shows up in the movie. The lady the Comedian courts is not Bebe, but she's watching over Bebe's 3 kids.
@@meavor oh! Ok. So they ain't her kids either, those Bebe's kids. (Lol)
PandaBrady how did you watch this at daycare
It was the 90's/early 00's. If it was animated it was fine for kids. Plus I think the daycare owner's young daughter was the "Teacher" that day.
Can we please get a “Full of Vibes and Bevis” shirt on the merch website
Didn’t nostalgia critic fill in for the nerd on the review of this game
They challenged each other to do a review of something of the other's entertainment medium of choice. Critic did this, while the Nerd reviewed some kind of Rocky knock-off.
The Critic challenged the Angry Video Game Nerd to review a crappy movie (which was Ricky 1, a parody of Rocky), and in return, the AVGN challenged the Critic to review a crappy game, which was this. NC even started the review dressed as the Nerd and had an intro song performed by Kyle Justin, the man who does AVGN's intro song.
Yes!
Brian E And now James does movie reviews all the time and Doug... well, you know.
Avery Graham I actually loved NC review on this 😂👍
I’m getting some *REAL* -AVGN- Nostalgia Critic vibes
Bevis?
No Vibes, no Bevis
BUT WHAT'S THE DEAL WITH THE ROTATING BOOKCASE?!
Same though!
No.
21:12 I dunno if that was intentional or not, but thank you, whoever edited this.
*Only Dan and the Rush Fans will get this*
I watched Bebe's kids so damn much growing up. Lol. A hood classic.
this stirred up old childhood memories i never realized i repressed. i remember playing this game with my friends a loooong time ago.
Radical also went on to make The Simpson's Hit and Run. You remember that right....? ONLY EGGS CAN SUSTAIN ME!
I DO BUY EGGS FOR BART
I remember taping this movie off HBO and watching it all the damn time as a kid. Truly a piece of Americana
"They contributed to Destiny in 2014" I almost spat out my drink when I heard that. What if that was the sole reason that franchise turned into a disaster? xD
Bebe's Kids. A.K.A. the first attempt at The Proud Family.
Uhhh....technically? Penny's friend Dijonay's family was basically Bebe's Kids. All of them were named after different types of spices, seasonings, and condiments. There's even one episode where they show up as the central plot point and go around causing mayhem, almost exactly like this game.
Im not the only one that looks at Bebe's kids and sees the blue sisters, right?
You are, because they're literally Dijonay's siblings except lighter colored, like I said. 100% recycled design.
Funny enough, the director of the animated movie, Bruce W. Smith, would go on to create the Proud Family.
The name's Khalil... and if you can't spell it, you never will!
I actually really enjoyed the movie growing up and it's fairly nostalgic.
Between the hat and the stretching punch, I can only assume Bebe's kids began as some bizarre OnePiece reboot
GOMU GOMU NO PISTOL
How can it be a reboot of a series that came out in the 21st century, when the game system it’s on was from early ‘90’s?
We Bebe's kids! We don't die, we multiply!
Loved this movie when I was little
If any lovelies own Rap Jam: Volume One, the only other game made by Motown Software, please send it to the Grumps!
I demand a 1000 episode series of this game.
“Bebe’s Kids, it’s animation...”
No Fazone Love did the voice for the movie! He died after House Party and was post to be in House party 2 but died. So the movie was in memory to him.
OH MY GOD THIS IS ALL OF THE GOOD THINGS!!!!
If you look really closely, you'll see that this is also not Skyward Sword.
HAHAHAHA lol can relate
I never saw this before, thanks you lol
Skyward Sword? more like Bore: Ragnarok

Robin Harris was the comedian who created the bit. He died while Bebe's Kids was in pre-production. The movie was apparently going to be live action, but was switched to animation after his death, with someone else voicing the character Robin Harris. There were some live cuts of his stand-up act at the start.
There was a funny song and video about the park that the kids were forced to watch after they were caught by the security guards:
"Fun World turns on a basic assumption, it's proven time after time,
family dysfunction and human consumption are two sides of the same dime,
if our hand in your pants feels like a grand assumption, that's where our fortune is found,
because fools and all their money make Fun World go 'round!
Overpriced merchandise galore,
leave your wallet with us at the door,
don't come back until you've bought some more, more, more more more!"
I love when they read off other games by the developer, it's a bunch of shit the AVGN has covered. Rocky and Bullwinkle, The Terminator, Wayne's World, and the educational Mario Games...Really speaks to this company as developers when they were first starting out, lol. They're like LJN proteges.
Alexa Kelly I realized that too. AVGN has covered all the games Radical made prior to this one except Battle for Olympus, and Nostalgia Critic filled in for him to review this one.
Who else actually watched bebe's kids?
Me!
#001 Ah yeah. That movie takes me back. I believe I was about 6 or 7 when I saw it. It's alright. There were some parts in that that were pretty funny. But I hated the Bebe's kids themselves because they remind me so much of some of the "bad kids" I had to deal with in summer camp. Such *assholes* the lot of them.
I'm an 80s kid and I used to watch that movie ALL the time. I still love it.
I saw it in the theater. Hated it, even as a kid 😂 Maybe if I re-watch it now I'd appreciate it more.
Who had HBO in the 90s that you stole from your neighbors to watch this movie????
He had strong vibes and Beavis. I nearly wet myself laughing 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
This brings back memories, me and my family loves this movie growing up.....
I watched the shit out of that movie on HBO as a kid and this is hilarious. That game is straight garbage. I think nostalgia critic reviewed this for AVGN too. Lol
It took Dan 6 and a half minutes to pass the control to Arin.
And this is why people have a problem with Dan.
I've played this game before and I was done with it at around the 5 to 10 minute mark.
Matthew Morrison do they? I feel like Im the only one whos occasionally annoyed with him and eberybody else is all OVER his D...
get over yourselves lmfao
.... and it took Arin 2 minutes to find an obscure uppercut move that is the only feasible way of progressing, and neither of them figured out how to throw. I would have just chucked this whole game into an incinerator because it is absolute garbage.
Bebe's Kids was my little cousins FAVORITE movie as children. Every sleepover we ever had Bebe's Kids would be popped into the VHS player when we settled down for bed and I remember thinking it was the stupidest thing I had ever seen. But you can bet in my adult life when I come across a cluster of bad ass kids I call them Bebe's kids.
"Me asking for this game is like me asking for a child with the common cold to cough in the back of my open mouth"

So attempting a quick google search, I couldn't find it, so I'm just gonna roll with some assumptions here. During this era, before the internet became so prevalent, video games were packaged with something often referred to as an instruction manual. As a young boy, if I found myself stuck on a particular part of a game, I would search the manual for any useful information I may not have discovered while playing. Sometimes, they would have all of the levels laid bare before me, with the general goal of said level accompanying, other times, there may have been an input I was previously unaware of. It's probably fair to assume that the copy you received didn't include this marvel of human ingenuity, but my point is, as sold, the information needed for completing the game was very likely provided.
Goodbye Bebe's kids. May you never come up in my life again!
The most frequent problem, is that people don't know how to do special moves.
I can't say that I blame you, it took me a long time to figure this out too.
Uppercut: hold L and R and press Y button. You will unleash a deadly uppercut
that kills Mice in 2 hits and guards in 3 hits. It is a special move that you
will be using a lot, so get used to it.
Spinning-jump-kick: Oy. This move is really annoying to pull off, but you NEED
it for the last 2 stages. Jump in the air, hold L and R (as you do for all
special moves) and press Y. You will unleash a deadly Spinning-jump-kick.
AND, this isn't a special move, but press A to pick up items, including food,
and hold L and R and press B (for some odd reason) to throw your items.
I love that Arin is immediately tremendously better at the combat, trying button combos Dan didn't, but on the other hand Dan didn't get hit
Apparently, going to one end of the bookcase drops you off in one room, and the other end of the bookcase drops you off in another. THAT'S. JUST. IM. POSSIBLE!!!! I MEAN THINK ABOUT IT!!!! If bookcase opens up, that means it spins around in a circle. That means there can only be one room. Because if there's a wall separating the two, the bookcase wouldn't open!
No. No referencing that jerk that is considered a human being.

Bebe's Kids was created by Robin Harris, this game is a train wreck
The comedian, Robin Harris, actually passed away two years before the movie was completed. It was originally meant to be live action, starring Robin Harris, but he passed away, and they switched to animation to make it. Faizon Love instead voiced the Robin Harris character in the movie.
