Best game of the season by far, just pure domination. Props to Blomqvist for keeping the score respectable. Easily could’ve been 10-0 with all the shots he was facing. Second line with Podz Drai and Arvy looked amazing, and stu played great and deserved the shutout. Hopefully they can keel this momentum going

Call me crazy, but I believe that this is the win that marks the end of the rough patch and the turning point of this young season for us. From start to finish, the Oilers looked confident. Finally broke through on the scoresheet, guys getting their first goals and/or points of the season, Skinner posting a shutout and looking great for the second straight game. Hope we keep playing like this every game!! Even the defence had a good performance, although they still need an upgrade. Great game, boys, way to go!!
I am an oilers fan too. I believe what you are saying is surely possible and I share the feeling. The game felt great for fans and players. But we still have to wait and see. You can tell we just came off playing more competitive, i.e. better, teams. We played the Penguins like they were the Canes and that's why it was destruction. the NHL is so competitive now. Most teams are at a higher level than Penguins. So let's see how we fare against teams at a higher level. Last year we had amazing speical teams and PK. My hope is, as our offense kicks in, we become a stronger in all situations/5 on 5. Go oilers.
The Oilers looked rested, eager and on a mission to do well with 2 more Oilers alumni getting honoured...Pens honestly looked tired, like a team that has been on the road too long. We have all seen them play MUCH better. Blomqvist is the only reason it was respectable...That said, we will gladly take it..There will be nights when it is the Oilers who look tired. All the ebb and flow of the season...That is why it is important to not get up too much after this win..OR...too down when they are 2--4...
It does, drai and everyone else but mcdavid look on fire. Mcdavid is still fine just not back to best yet, he will get there soon. Every game this team gets better so I think they will go on a 5 game winning streak and then they will go 14-4 in the playoffs.

Penguins didn't deserve to be anywhere near 4-0 in this game (8-0 if Jarry was in net), but seriously wtf was that non-offside call (you can try to argue the blade not being conclusive all you want, but anyone with half a brain knows that was offside)? I love Sid but hes been an issue so far this season. I was at the Calgary game and he got out played by glass... it broke my heart, i have never seen such non chalant plays from him.
It would have been nice if this was a game. It was a massacre. The penguins were lucky to lose only four to nothing.
